Wine down

The place is amazing the only issue was there was construction next door so we had noise from 7am to 5 every weekday. Not really a big deal but would have been nice to know prior. The area was so pretty and all the people were friendly and helpful Would recommend and we would go again. 10/10

Wine down was a wonderful rental! Its close to the beach, clean, comfortable beds, and easy to check in and out. We loved our stay at wine down!

Girls’ werkend

The property is beautifully perched on the edge of the world, it seems. The amount of beds and their set-up was perfect for everyone. The beds were extremely comfortable, but my bunk had sand in it. I wondered if the sheet had been changed. One of the check out requirements was to NOT strip the beds. We wondered if it was so they wouldn’t have to make some of the beds that didn’t seem slept in. The cleaning fee was extremely high when the beds weren’t fully made (only fitted sheet on) and guests were expected not just to run the dishwasher (which is normal) but also to put away the clean dishes. Having said that, everything else was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked. And the living space and the porch was perfect for all of us to be together and spend quality friend time. The view was spectacular. We all enjoyed ourselves at Wine Down.

The view was amazing

Our family travels to Louisiana every summer and have been for close to 15 years. When we decided to make Grand Isle a stop about 7 years ago we knew we wanted to stay in a house not a hotel. Wine Down has been our very favorite so far. The floor plan was great, the bathrooms we easily accessible and plenty of them (3), and the beach access was unsurpassed. The only issue we faced was trying to keep the house cool enough is the afternoons when the sun was blazing. Due to the vaulted ceiling the air conditioner had a really hard time cooling the house off to keep the temp below 82°.

Great For Large Groups

The setup of the home - with ensuite baths for each of the 3 main bedrooms - is awesome. Comfortable beds with plenty of sleeping space for our large extended family. Location right next to the beach access path can't be beat. Kitchen is wonderfully stocked with amenities. Grill and outdoor shower downstairs are a huge plus. Great cleaning station downstairs too (if only we'd caught something to clean!) My only concern was that the indoor temp never dropped below 78. Mngt sent someone out to recharge the AC immediately after we called (+++), but it remained so hot inside at night we couldn't sleep. Even so, we will definitely be back. This one is a win.

Great Property

We've been down to the island 11 years in a row, and this is easily the best place we've stayed. Modern, clean, well furnished, with a great view and access to the beach. We'll be back!

Great place. Especially for larger groups.

We had a great time at this beach house. It has four bedrooms and three of them come with a bathroom, which makes it a great location for larger groups. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the beachfront patio. The house seems to be one of the nicest on the entire island. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others.
