Nestled between ocean and river, 2 Minutes drive to 5 local pristine beaches, Biddeford Pool, Fortune'sRocks...Enjoy surfing, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, walking trails, water falls, and more. Or 15 minute walk to private sandy beach.
Close to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and UNE. Enjoy a soak in the claw foot tub in a modern relaxing setting with large separate shower.
3 Queen beds, 2 full bathrooms, large kitchen with all the amenities and xtra large island seating , dining room, and living room in a beautiful open concept.
Enjoy a fresh Maine Lobster or a relaxing BBQ in your private backyard setting surrounded by nature, while taking in all the beauty that Maine has to offer.
Note- there is a small rental on the property that can be rented at an additional cost in case you need more room for your extended. it has family or friends. it has its own parking spots for 2 cars. and has its own backyard, and is far enough away from the house that you will have your privacy still. the only part of the driveway that is shared is the entrace/exit. meaning, you will not have to park tandem and share your parking spaces.

The house was perfect: clean, well stocked and centrally located for great vacation. The house has plenty of room to spread out, we loved the open kitchen/dining/livingroom. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. I would recommend this rental for anyone looking to spend sometime in southern maine.

We had a wonderful stay here. The living area and kitchen were very accommodating and comfortable. The location was perfect. The location of the bathrooms was easily spelled out although no floors were given for the bedrooms. I assumed the second bedroom was on the same floor as the second bathroom. We would stay here again.

As a family of four ( including 2 teen boys) we had plenty of room in this beautiful home! Loved the back yard and fire pit. House was spotless and we really appreciated that we could do laundry so we weren’t going home with lots of dirty clothes. 7 days went by so fast! We saw deer, chipmunks and a beaver stroll through the backyard. Centrally located to all our day trips we took: Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Old Orchard Beach, Freeport and Portland. Relaxing to sit on Hills beach just minutes from the house. Highly recommend this home away from home that is a quiet place in the woods. Hosts were very responsive and gave lots of recommendations for places to eat etc.

Everything was great house was clean and beautiful very well appointed. The only thing I would say is we didn’t know there was another residence on property that we would be sharing the driveway. Just something people should know if they are looking for complete privacy.

This is the second time we stay at this lovely property. The location is wonderful for our needs, and the house is beautiful inside and out with many sitting areas. We love visiting Maine and the beach is 5-10 min drive from the house. Good access to kennebunkport and the small towns nearby.

Sweet cabin right off the road. It was quiet. Had a turkey visit. Close enough to the towns to go eat Lobster everyday. It felt secluded and peaceful. It has a nice outdoor area to hang out when the weather is nice. House was clean and well stocked.

Check in was super easy with door code - do nothing except show up after check in time. We liked that the house is in a wooded area with a grill and fire pit. 4 minutes from Fortunes Rock Beach. House was clean, kitchen had plenty of room, and a good space for family to chill and watch tv at the end of the day. I would recommend.

Great getaway for families

Perfect rental for two families, especially those with kids! Bill and Karen were very responsive and we loved having access to Hills Beach. Clean house, comfortable beds, and inviting firepit. We did visit after some heavy weeks of rain so the mosquitos were a little thick but we made it work. Highly recommend this spot!

If we could, we’d give this home and experience higher than 10/10! My hubs spent his youth summering in Maine. We can be picky when we travel. We prefer clean and updated spaces. I needed two bathrooms so I could have a bathroom without kids. We both wanted to be centrally located so we could travel easily. Biddeford is the perfect small town Maine experience! This adorable house was priced perfect and it had the charm we were seeking. The location is perfect for traveling all over the Maine coast. The Biddeford pool beach is less than 5 minutes away and so nice for sunrises or sunsets. A nearby Audubon trail is the perfect after dinner walk/ hike. The house is open, so clean. We had one minor issue when we arrived (out of the owners control) and they addressed it immediately. They communicated with us so quickly. The house is stocked with your basics and updated appliances so it feels more like home and less like grandmas house. I was so thankful to be able to do laundry because with two kiddos, they get dirty. The fireplace was great on chilly mornings. The beach chairs were a nice touch. At night, we enjoyed the fire pit and made s’mores while planning our next adventure. We loved not being on the beach with passing tourists and endless traffic. We literally had our little place in the woods. We drank our morning coffee out front and enjoyed the sea air breezes. The hosts made a great bagel recommendation and it was perfect! We would go back anytime!

We had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house convenient to restaurants and beaches but felt like you were in the woods when you were at the property. We really enjoyed relaxing evenings by the fire pit and are looking forward to going back again. Karen was a great host. Supper responsive and had a bunch of awesome recommendations for us to get fresh pies and lobsters. She even left marshmallows and sticks for us to enjoy by the fire pit, snacks to bring to the beach. The house has everything you would need do cook and even has all the equipment to cook lobsters.

Great vacation home

My family of four loved our stay! The house was clean and comfortable and was the perfect place to land after a long day of beaching and exploring. Karen was easy to reach with any questions we had. One small recommendation for the avid fire pit lovers like myself. I was so happy to see firewood and the gorgeous pit, but it had rained the day before we got there and the wood was really wet. A tarp or cover would be an easy fix for that! Obviously, not a deal breaker for this charming home.

Nice, But a Bit Different Than Expected

While convenient to several places we wanted to visit, there were a few things that we didn’t expect. First, as a previous reviewer noted, the home is located next to a heavily used road and there is some road noise to contend with. Additionally, the University of New England’s football stadium is approximately 100 yards from the rear of the property and, if games are played while you’re there, you will definitely hear it. Another unexpected situation is that there’s a second VRBO rental on the same property. Nowhere in the listing is that made known. Lastly, the rental listing should be updated to reflect two baths, not four. There’s a full bath on the first floor and the second full bath is shared by the two bedrooms on the second floor. Don’t get me wrong, it was a nice home that included what we needed as well as some extras that made the stay comfortable. But, a little more detail would have been valued.

There is a short period in fall where games are played at the UNE but it's not often and for some visitors it's been a plus. Unfortunately I was unable to find where the listing states 4 bathrooms. There are 2 full baths and in season, an outside shower. Just to clarify, the house, backyard, firepit, and parking are all separate from the other property situated on this 3 acre lot. My husband and I are born and raised in New England. We have been part time residents of Maine for the last 20 years. We are true lovers of Maine- The Way Life Should be. There is so much beauty to enjoy in Maine and to live by Maine's coast is a dream for us. To find a gem so close to the pristine beaches of Biddeford is just lovely. The area is beautiful and uncrowded but close to everything. We love just sitting at the beach with a good book or just relaxing with friends, Smoking meats to enjoy with friends on the weekends, biking, boating, fishing, searching for sand dollars and sea glass, paddle boarding, local bands as well as Concerts, Plays, Restaurants and so much more! We really look forward to the day we can retire and enjoy all these things on a daily basis!!!

This property was a no brainer. We saw it and made and offer very quickly. So beautiful. We were elated when we won the bid and continue to be very happy with this property. We constantly receive many compliments on how pretty a property this is. It is set enough in the woods to be quite and secluded but drive out of the driveway and your literally on the main road to go everywhere with very little effort! It's Craftsman style is so pretty with it's large windows and views of all the surrounding trees. Back yard is lovely and gets some nice fall foliage colors back there.
