Waterfront Cabin On The New River - Near Virginia Tech & Radford University

This beautiful New River waterfront cabin is nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A perfect place to stay for visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway, Claytor Lake or the New River Valley area (including Blacksburg/Virginia Tech, Radford University). This cabin is in a gated community and is a fisherman's paradise. The cabin is two stories with the sleeping quarters on the second story. The sleeping quarters have two new Queen size beds and two new twin beds separated by a vertical half wall. There is not a door between the two sleeping areas. Downstairs you will find a kitchen, two full bathrooms, dining room, riverview sun room with full size futon , living room, and a small loft overlooking the living room that has a full size mattress. Spend your time relaxing on the wrap-around deck or on the screened porch. Fully remodeled with exposed beams and rustic cabin decor. High speed internet makes this a great remote work location.

Fantastic fishing cabin!

Stayed here with my Dad, brother and son for a fly-fishing trip. The property sits right on ta beautiful stretch of the New River and is wadable for some distance either up or down river. The cabin is comfortable and has all the amenities. The owners are stellar hosts and work to make their guests comfortable. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, fully equipped home, CLEAN CLEAN! Extremely quiet, only water gurgling in the river. We saw herons, kingfishers, hawks and a family of otter right before we left. This home recharged our batteries for sure. Great stay!

Peaceful Rest on the New River

Bella Casa was truly beautiful. The weather curtailed many of our outdoor plans, but we still loved our time at the cabin. The covered back porch was perfect for coffee, reading, and listening to the rain. And the hammock by the river was divine. The cabin was impeccably clean, and it had anything we might would’ve wanted.

This is an awesome river house. The views of river magnificent and loved loved the screened porch. We floated from river junction campground to the house awesome trip. Everything you need is provided by the owners but food. Very nice sheets and towels. We will be backII

A Piece of Heaven

This place was Great! It was right on the river. The screened-in porch is where we spent most of our time. It rained a bit while we were there, but it did not dampen our spirits. It was not very cold, so we read out on the porch and studied God's word, while the rain beat on the tin roof and the river running by. It was peaceful and cozy. It was PRICELESS!! A true gift from our LORD!!! We will go back when it warms up.

Wonderfully Relaxing

From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, we felt the ease of the mountains and the subtle flow of the river take hold. The owners have done a wonderful job of decorating and providing all the creature comforts of home and then some. The owners provide great directions, plenty of activity recommendations for the surrounding area, and suggest restaurants that are local favorites. The only reason for not giving a full 5 star review is the full-size beds were quite uncomfortable. My spouse enjoys a harder mattress than I do, and even he said the mattresses were "too hard". Additionally, I was expecting two seperate bed rooms, but there was one large bedroom with four beds (2 full & 2 twin), and the other bedroom was an open "loft" you had to climb a latter to access. I would not have been pleased if I were required to use that as my bedroom. Both of these honestly were minor inconviences for the amazing time we experienced at Bella Casa. The local kayak shuttle (1 mile down the road), even knows the location by name and will pick you up directly from the house so you can kayak back without even needing your vehicle. The check-in and check-out process could not have been easier. 10 out of 10 would ABSOLUTELY stay here again, in fact we've already discussed another booking. Thanks for having us!

Gorgeous views all around. I was perfectly content sitting on the screened porch reading a book and listening to the river. Plenty of amenities for everyone. Easy to find, gps worked the whole way and you don't need 4WD to access. Just watch your head when ascending to the bedrooms, low ceiling.

We were married at this cabin in the summer of 2012. The cabin was purchased by Scott's parents in 1976 and was sold to the close family friends that have had it since 1994. We are blessed to have it back in the family again and look forward to sharing many memories with all of you. We are positive that you will enjoy it as much as we do and that you will leave the cabin with wonderful memories and experiences that will bless your family for years to come.

The New River and the Blue Ridge Mountains are both home to Scott and Cathy. The cabin rests on the bank of the New River and enjoys beautiful views up and downriver. The cabin was built by a long-time family friend and Scott and his dad built the hearth and outdoor grill from rocks they collected from the river and along the driveway. The sound of the rapids provide a serene backdrop to walks up the road or while relaxing in the hammock or sitting on the screened in porch.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Easy drive to Virginia Tech and Radford University for graduations, family weekends, ball games, and just to drop in. Just wade into the river from the bank in front of the cabin and you are moments away from world class fishing in the New River. Canada geese and other waterfowl are abundant along the river. Access to the river both upstream and downstream for kayaking and canoeing. Playing cards and board games with the family out on the screened-in porch. Roasting marshmallows on the outdoor stone grill. Relaxing in the hammock. Inner-tubing down the river from the bridge. Riding bikes on the New River Trail State Park across the river from the cabin.
