What a great property, perfect to unwind and relax. Paul was very accommodating and went above and beyond! Would absolutely stay here again.

I had the most wonderful time staying at Paul and Dani's property, and the place was absolutely beautiful. Paul and Dani were incredibly kind, helpful and nice, and I am very grateful for all they have done to make sure that the guests feel welcomed and comfortable.I look forward to seeing them again, and to thank them once again for their hospitality.

The hosts were very kind, organized and communicated very well. The property was really fun and well kept. Paul prepped the sauna for us a few times at times that worked well for us. I would recommend this property to anyone who is mobile enough to use stairs regularly throughout the day because the buildings are at different elevations. There is an outhouse, a kitchen cabin, a sleeping cabin, and the floating bunkie on the water.

This property is a lovely, remote, unplugged vacation spot! The moon was enchanting and the loons were lovely!Do know that the stairs are plentiful. Be prepared for a rustic cooking experience with a camp stove and cold water spigot. If kayaking is of interest to you, be aware that the seats are in disrepair, maybe bring a cushion. This was a perfect and special camping vacation for us.

Bring your water toys for swimming in crystal clear water and fishing rod, you won't be leaving that dock for days. Best way to unplug from you're devices. Lots of places to sleep and hangout.

Wonderful view and a beautiful location. No WiFi as advertised. The stairs are dangerous. A stair rail is needed at the bottom half of the stairs. If you’re looking for a beautiful location. This is it. Very dangerous. Safety is a problem here.

We absolutely loved everything about the experience. It's a brilliant experience sleeping on the lake. Everything was wonderful: the views, the landscape, the wildlife, etc. The property was fun to explore and it was a comfortable and easy experience to check-in and check-out. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind. We're hoping to stay even longer next summer.

Beautiful and unique experience

Paul and Dani are excellent hosts. The cottage-in-four-parts is beautifully made, the floating bedroom a dreamy place to watch the sun set and rise. Quintessential Canadian cottage experience.

Absolutely loved our stay. Paul was a fantastic host. He sent us information and directions, as well as met us onsite to show us around. The cottage was well equipped and super unique, which I love. We were right on the water, it was like sleeping on a houseboat. We wanted a few days to get away, relax, and be on the water and that’s exactly what we got. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Unique Piece of Paradise

Dani and Paul have created such a neat place to really unplug and enjoy nature and the beautiful view of the lake. We found ourselves noticing all the little details they’ve put into the place all weekend. There might be quite a few stairs and a trek down to the lake but the view is worth it. You can take a quick break and sit by the fire, or inside the screened in porch that would be nice and cozy on a rainy day. The outhouse is clean, and they have a neat set up for the shower. We enjoyed a canoe around the quiet lake, and fished off the dock (no luck catching breakfast). We really can’t wait to return next year! Thanks again for the relaxing weekend away. - Jess & Erik

I rented this cottage for the bunkie on the dock. The king-sized bed was super comfortable; you can jump right off the dock into the water. If you’re an early riser the sunrise is on your doorstep. I understand that this experience is supposed to be ‘glamping’ and that amenities are limited but the toilet situation was particularly unpleasant. In all honesty the outhouse stank to high heaven. I could get whiffs of it in the kitchen cabin. Maybe we were not adding enough lye after each use. The dock bunkie had a re-purposed ship’s toilet? which we were responsible for emptying out at the outhouse….it was not composting. You could choose not to use it but it’s a long hike back up the hill to the outhouse for each bathroom break. The cottage was clean, no wifi as stated and lake views were picture worthy. The kayak was old, not very comfortable but seaworthy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Paul, the owner was friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful property. Great lake for swimming and fishing! Owner was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as it could be. Definitely coming back again!
