Welcome to our cozy waterfront cottage on Benson Lake, part of the beautiful Rideau Water System! This charming two-bedroom retreat offers a perfect getaway for families and friends.
Enjoy stunning lake views and direct access to the water, creating an ideal setting for relaxation and adventure. There are a big portable AC, propane BBQ, fire pit, access to semi private boat launch - 1 min drive, at the end of our road. Swimming is not suitable from the dock. We have a swimming platform and provide canoe or SUP to get there.
From the cottage you will be able to explore 5 different lakes without going through a lock. The lakes are - Benson, Mosquito, Clear, Indian, Newboro.
Explore nearby Rideau trail, perfect for hiking and nature walks, or take a short drive to the picturesque village of Westport, where you can find charming shops and delightful restaurants. For golf enthusiasts, there are excellent golf courses just a stone's throw away.
Whether you’re looking to unwind by the water, enjoy outdoor activities, or explore the local area, our cottage is the perfect destination for your next escape!

Clean, comfortable, host was very helpful and friendly. Lake is clean and beautiful views. One of the best cottages I’ve stayed at. Will be there again. Kids loved it too.

This was an amazing place to stay. Beautiful view the hostess was so amazing from check in to check out. We will definitely be coming back.Highly recommend this if you want to have a relaxing time in a Beautiful place.

We had a wonderful 3 nights staying at Tatiana's cottage. She and Val welcomed us wonderfully and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay - including watercraft and wood for the wood stove/campfire (when the temperature dropped unexpectedly.) The location is secluded and quiet. There was excellent swimming from the swimming platform in the lake and a nearby hiking/walking trail that was easily found. This was a true cottage experience and we would book again.

An incredible cottage with a view, spent the two days kayaking .. it is the most peaceful lake, quiet and very comfortable bed. If you love visiting or kayaking of canoeing.. this is yourVibe! Tatiana is an amazing host!Happy cottaging!Shannon

Exactly as described. Great access to the lake. The canoe had folding seats that were quite comfortable. My wife got in a canoe for the first time because of this.

The hosts are exceptionally friendly and responsive! They were so helpful and kind. We felt lucky to get to experience what Benson Lake and the Rideau Lakes have to offer. If you’re looking for a rustic, charming, relaxing and disconnected retreat this is the perfect spot!!! The views are breath taking. The lake is quiet and warm. The cottages are cozy. We loved it. We will definitely be back!

Very cozy cottage, with direct access to water and large deck attached to the house, perfectly oriented for sunrise watching.The lake water is very clean, and the cottage us close to rideau lakes and frontenac provincial park.Kingston is less than an hour away.

This was a exactly what we were looking for. Rest and reset, peace and quiet. The cottage was clean and wecoming. The host was warm friendly and also gave us our privacy. We brought wood for the firepit which overlooked the lake! the BBQ was clean and cooked beautifully. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. And the beds were wonderfully comfortable. Icing on the cake was the plethora of curious dragonflies on the deck and dock and the beauty of the fireflies in the evening while we enjoyed our campfire. If you are looking to disconnect, recharge and truly take in some peace this is your place. The kayaking is also quiet nice.

A perfect little cottage! Sitting on the deck or the dock, gazing out over the beautiful lake and listening to the birds was very restful. We came up from Kingston for a mini vacation and everything was perfect. It's a long drive down a dirt road to a little spot with several other homes/cottages and it was very peaceful. Our hosts were very welcoming. You do need to bring your own sheets and towels (dish and hand towels too), hand soap for the bathroom, and garbage bags, but otherwise everything we needed was there. We had a lovely time and even my teenager was able to put his electronics away without feeling deprived. We were sad to leave and I hope we can come back soon.

As photographer and kayaker, this location was ideal for my exploration of Benson Lake. I managed to journey my way by water through the lake and discover it's treasures. Many areas of calm water barely disturbed by the wind provides stunning reflections. An orchestra of a wide variety of birds kept me entertained in the quiet and undisturbed sound of nature. The location also provided quick trips to surrounding trails for hiking and other lakes and rivers for more kayaking. I only had 3 nights of stay in the spring, but I am sure to return in the autumn to indulge more with the lovely fall colours.

We really enjoyed the beautiful lake and the stunning view from the deck. The area itself is peaceful and lovely, and communication with the hosts was excellent. They were friendly, responsive, and easy to reach.That said, there were a few things that made our stay less enjoyable. The cottage could have been cleaner. There was a noticeable dog smell, the couches did not feel particularly clean, and we encountered quite a few ants inside. The septic tank is located right beside the swing, and at times there was an unpleasant smell.We also found that swimming and fishing were more difficult than expected. The deck is quite small and located in a very shallow, muddy section of the lake, so you really need to use a canoe to get to a better spot for swimming or fishing.Overall, we really liked the area and appreciated the beautiful setting and the hosts' communication. However, based on our experience, we would likely choose a different cottage for a future stay.

A slice of paradise! The whole experience exceeded expectations. The property is deep in the bush with a few friendly neighbours. The hosts were inviting, caring and overall great people. Our dog had glorious freedom and a few friendly neighbourhood dogs to socialize with. I cannot recommend this place enough. A great time for the family. We can’t wait to visit again with a couple more little ones. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Lovely cottage

Tatiana was a super host who made sure we were comfortable and all our questions were answered. The view from the cottage was beautiful and relaxing. Tatiana let us rent her kayaks and we had a great time paddling on the water. I had to work one day of our visit and was happy that the Internet was strong enough to handle a Teams call with high quality. There were lots of cute touches around the cottage and a nice outdoor spot for eating and relaxing outside. We're new to Vrbo and didn't see to bring our own linens, but it's important to know this includes towels and dish/hand towels.We'd definitely stay again in the future!

This property is incredible. It’s a smaller but cute and comfortable cottage. It was clean and they were very accommodating to us. The hosts were friendly and ready to help. It’s hidden in the trees but not too remote either! With wifi included it was a comfortable stay. We were able to see multiple deers around the property and felt very safe. There was little to no bugs surprisingly! The lake is a 30 second walk where you can enjoy fishing. We were able to catch a couple different bass and it was a huge adrenaline rush. Westpoint is a good little town to walk thru and don’t forget about the many awesome tours Kingston offers less than an hour away!

We had a lovely time at Tatiana' s cottage. She was very attentive to our needs and responds immediately. Something to keep in mind is no supplies are provided. Bring your own soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels and sheets. No direct swimming from the house. We are planning on returning despite these comments. Thanks again Tatiana

We had a lovely time staying here! Our host was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The place was very clean, cozy and had everything we could have needed for our stay. The view from the deck was stunning (exactly like the pictures showed) and we especially loved having use of the canoe to explore the lake. The kids loved fishing from the dock and probably caught 200 little sunfish over our 3 day stay.. they were never bored! An awesome vacation for everyone. Thanks again, Tetianna!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage! One of the highlights was grilling delicious food while enjoying the beautiful lake view, it made for such a relaxing and memorable experience. Evenings around the fire pit with friends were the perfect way to end the day.The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. The peaceful surroundings and scenic views made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing escape. We made wonderful memories here and would definitely love to come back!

It was such a great experience, you really couldn't ask for a better host so accommodating wonderful people and the views and lake were breathtaking so much wildlife and you can't beat the fishing, so cozy. And everything you need for a great relaxing getaway hiking good swimming aswell. Loved our stay and will be back for sure
