Location is excellent for walking around the Historic Center of St. Augustine! Being right down the street from the Columbia Restaurant and St. George Street is a big plus! The balcony is nice during the day to sit and watch the trolley tours coming down Hypolita Street. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and large for two couples with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and an open floor plan with the kitchen overlooking the living area. Unfortunately, there is only one parking spot, and the second couple has to park in the parking garage. There are 20 steps up to the apartment, and the larger bedroom is up a second spiral staircase, which can be difficult for the elderly. The beds are very comfortable with a memory foam type mattress, and the bath towels are very large. We had no TV or WiFi the first night of our stay, but that was a problem in the area and not the fault of the host. Our one major complaint is that we were not aware of the problems next door on Friday nights at the Bourbon Street Bar on Hypolita Street with locals and Flagler college kids hanging out on the street below the balcony of the apartment. For this reason, we would not have wanted to bring elderly relatives or children with us. Witnessing loud drunkenness, vomiting, and possibly illegal activities in the parking lot with our parked car below made us feel unsafe. The police presence on Friday nights indicates the community's awareness of the issue. Saturday night did not seem to be a problem.
