Would highly recommend…beautiful area….living room furniture was super comfy and CJ couldn’t be more accommodating. The covered boat slip is easy to get to and really nice as well. We had a great stay!

Great place!

The townhome was an awesome destination for us and having the boat slip to use was great for a long Memorial Day weekend. Very convenient to the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend and will be staying again. CJ was very quick to answer my questions and offer assistance the few times I needed her.

Hiawassee

Beautiful well kept home. My family loved it. Lots of stairs. It was completely fine for us but not for an elderly person. We came in for a wedding so it was perfect easy access to event. Would definitely stay there again.

Great spot to adventure

We have been come to Hiawassee/lake chatuge for many years, this villa is located perfectly for any adventure in the area. We brought our boat and utilized the included boat slip which was a plus for us. If you don’t have your own boat one can be rented just next door at Young Harris Boat and jet ski rental. Condo was nicely decorated and very clean upon our arrival.

Beautiful Townhouse

The stay was wonderful and the facilities was great. Beautiful home. The wi-fi password given in the paperwork was incorrect. I looked in the large white notebook and found another password that worked. The entire was great and there were no complaints at all. Very reasonable price and great beautiful place. We would return to this townhouse again.

We did not have access to the lake. The condo had 36 stairs and all the adults we were ages 65,77, and 86. The pictures of the condo only showed a few stairs, but when we arrived we were in shock. Had a very difficult time getting our luggage up the stairs. Thus place is not for seniors. We should have been informed of the two flights of stairs and the staff should certainly tell clients that it is for the younger people. The condo had spider webs, but the beds were comfortable. It was a convenient location. But would never stay there again with the amount of narrow stairs, and as you got to the top there was no handle to help you up. I am trying to be honest and help any other seniors that are not able to climb so many stairs.

The right vacation home is everything, and we’re sorry to hear this one wasn’t the perfect fit for your group. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Lake access, including the dock, boat slip, and community fireplace, was open during your stay, so we’re not sure why it appeared unavailable. We’ll double-check that the directions and access details are clearly communicated to future guests.- We’ll be updating the listing to clarify that the main living area and first bedroom are located on the second floor, with two additional bedrooms on the third floor.- While the photos do show the exterior and stair layout, we understand how this could be surprising for guests unfamiliar with townhome designs.- We’ve also asked our cleaning team to take extra care in checking for spider webs before each stay.Thanks for your feedback—it helps ensure future guests have a clear picture of what to expect before they arrive!

Wonderful week together

We look forward to our week in Hiawassee all year and this year was no exception. This beautiful home was spacious with plenty of space for our family of five. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning, we prepared wonderful meals in the kitchen, and enjoyed hours of fun with the games in the garage. The swings at the lakefront was the perfect place to read a book and take in the breathtaking view.

This is our 2nd time staying at Cathy Jo and we enjoyed each time.

We fished, BBQ'D( which there is an amazing pavilion wiith a fireplace, fans to keep cool) ate at the local restaurants for breakfast(Mary and Paradise Bar and Grill) both have amazing breakfast. We even had great interactions with neighbors at the community, they were very nice and provided lots information about the area. This place is conveniently located on the lake with lots of things to do nearby.

Hiawassee

The property was very clean and well decorated. The location was centrally located close to the Georgia Mountain Fair grounds, which was great with the fall festival going on. The only downside was the road noise from Hwy 76 which was so loud that you couldn't sit on the deck overlooking the lake and hold a conversation. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Nice Location

Our stay at Sunset Bay Condo #504 in Hiawassee, GA was just wonderful! The condo was very spacious and clean, beds were very comfy, plenty of extra pillows and blankets, A/C worked very well, water pressure in the showers was very good, kitchen was pretty well stocked (we added a few things from the local thrift store,) the ping pong table, dart board and cornhole game in the garage area was a nice bonus. We loved the decor of the condo too, very "woodsy" and cozy! Conveniently located to the grocery store and also the marina for getting gas for the boat. The covered boat slip was very nice, especially for the couple of rainy afternoons. Also liked that entry into the condo was a keypad versus a key (no key to possibly lose!) The property is next to a busy road, but all of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and "white noise" machines to lessen the road noise. Travelers should also know that the condo has two sets of stairs that require you to go up and down with all of your luggage and miscellaneous items. We appreciated the extra exercise of the stairs and the reward of the 3rd floor view was definitely worth it, but this might be difficult for others. Cathy Jo was great about answering all of our questions in a timely manner! Overall we highly recommend the condos at Sunset Bay!

Location with a View

With the location over looking Lake Chatuge; in the middle of town; close to Helen; and in walking distance of the boat rental. This was perfect for our family. Will definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Beautiful condo in the mountains on a huge Lake!

Great place. 1st floor is a garage to store all your lake toys and park your car. There is also a ping pong table, corn hole, and 🎯 dart board in the basement. Also, There was a tube and ski rope. 2nd floor has 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. Fireplace not working. Alexa was nice for music and kitchen timers. Nice Kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, bowels but not many servings dishes. 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, master bath has a huge jetted tub😊. There is laundry room, great to do swim stuff daily!😎 bring laundry soap. At night you can hear highway traffic but it did not affect our sleep! Beds are comfortable! Very nice boat slip about 100 yard walk. You can rent a boat at Young Harris Water Sports which is right beside the condo complex. The lake is huge and we had a great time tubing, skiing and swimming!! There are a lot stairs in the condo and there is a 100 yard walk to the beach/ boat dock with stairs. Easy check in. Quick easy communication with manager! Super sweet!
