For Fall & Spring I offer either a 2 or 3 night minimum rental. (Can start on Sunday if available)

For Winter, I offer a 3-night, Friday - Monday weekend rental or I offer a 2-night minimum mid-week rental between Sunday - Friday. (Excludes Holiday Weeks)

The Whiteface Lodge is a AAA Four Diamond Resort Property located in the High Peaks region of the spectacular Adirondack Mountain range offers an abundance of experiences for everyone, for all seasons...

1 Bedroom/1.5 Bath Superior Fireplace Suite - (Sleeps 2-4) - King bed in the master bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room (gas fireplace) with dining area and kitchen. The bathrooms are spacious and features a jetted tub/shower, double sink vanity, and radiant heated floors.

The oversized suite features handcrafted Adirondack-style furnishings, a cast iron gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with custom alder wood cabinetry and granite counter-tops. The suite offers a private cedar and mahogany balcony. From the Lodge there are majestic views of the surrounding mountains. The property was beautiful and clean and perfectly decorated. The only issues we had were that our picture window in our room was completely hazed out compromising the view. We also had a problem with the t.v. in the living room just turning off on its own while we were watching it. We called the front desk and they sent someone up who seemed to reset it but we still had problems with it repeatedly turning off or just having sound with no picture. Otherwise the room and property were just as described, would definitely recommend.

We had a very relaxing weekend staying at the whiteface lodge and we enjoyed all the facilities the grounds had to offer. Everything was serene and beautiful. Communications, booking and checking in were all smooth. The one bedroom suite was very spacious and well appointed.

Been going here for 20 years….the property has held up well and the ambiance is still great. Service time in the restaurant was very slow and had to call to get the room cleaned late in the afternoon. I assume they have issues getting enough help like most places.

My wife and I decided to go here on vacation in May. Everyone from the Valet, Check In, Maids, to all the other resort staff were outstanding! We really enjoyed our room, our stay, and the overall ambience! We highly recommend!

Wonderful lodge with lots of activities

I rented this for my son and his new bride for a getaway. Great place to relax or do the many activities the lodge offers. Come and cozy. I have stayed her myself and love it. The host was quickly responsive with any questions.

Very nice spot

The hotel is great and the room was nice and convenient. Close enough to lobby that it was super convenient, but far enough away that there was complete quiet. Room had a w/d in it which we didn't realize and was a nice bonus. Tim was very helpful in offering restaurant suggestions and working with our dates to get the room ready. would definitely book again.

Great time-sister getaway

Had a fabulous time with my sister at whiteface lodge! Many things to do at the resort! Listing was accurate and was a great set up for us! Directions to the washer/dryer would have been helpful! The pull out sofa was not very comfortable. However, we didn’t let the little things get in the way of having fun! Thanks, we would definitely stay again!!

Amazing stay!

We loved our stay and the lodge. One really big problem was the washer/dryer that did not work. When we told the front desk they said oh they don’t work very well, don’t put too much in etc. — well they didn’t work with just one pair of clothing so it want that. And we were told to got to the basement to use the washer dryer there, which is a nice offer except it was very wet far and inconvenient.

My wife and I have stayed at Whiteface Lodge many times since it was built. This was the first experience where breakfast was not included in the room charge (After the fact, I saw in the contract that meals were not included) The bottom line is that it would have been less costly to have booked an identical room directly through the hotel. Live and learn!

Winter Love

The Whiteface Lodge has excellent customer service. Everyone is very friendly and seems dedicated to creating a inviting atmosphere. The suite was also cozy and spacious. There is a fire place, jacuzzi tub, two bathrooms, and full kitchen. My wife and I came to recommit our vows and it was very romantic. We spent some afternoon time in the jacuzzi and spa. The only issue we had was with Kanu; it is one of the restaurants on premisies. The décor was beautiful, however the food did not equal the ambience. My wife's sole was bland and mushy. The customer service did shine again however, because they took her dinner off the bill. The Peak 47 was very good for lunch and we would definitely eat there again

This is a family resort - not a couples getaway place

The resort is amazing but it is full of kids and kids activities. That caught me by surprise so shame on me for not doing my research. I was wanting a romantic getaway and instead heard children crying across the hall and running up and down the halls. One child ran circles around several tables at dinner Sunday night in Peak 47 - staff seemed to be fine with this but it did put a damper on a romantic dinner. This resort is amazing if you are looking for a family resort - the lack of research before booking is totally my issue. In addition, the CAM/AM hockey league was in Lake Placid so the town overrun with kids - again, my fault for not researching a better location for a romantic getaway.

Resort Getaway

This is a full service resort with all the amenities included. Free spa, heated pool, smores every night, a movie theater. The rooms were amazing with fireplaces and kitchenettes. We definitely saved a few by booking here vs direct. We were a little bummed that the ice rink was closed early and we didn’t get to skate but I think the weather was just too warm. Only other complaint was the rooms had VERY old tvs (like maybe 15 years) but you don’t come here to watch TV. Only other thing to call out is the restaurant in the hotel, Peak 47, isn’t very good and there isn’t anywhere else to eat within walking distance so you might need a car to drive to town for meals, or plan to cook. This is a booking for an “owners room” that you are essentially subletting. All this means for you is breakfast is NOT included - which would have been nice to know in advance. It’s $18pp extra so if you wanted breakfast you may have to do the math to see if it’s a better deal. Getting here was a little difficult- we asked the owner for a car service recommendation which he was unable to provide which was annoying but we did eventually find one to pick us up from the Amtrak. The shuttle doesn’t run anymore so make sure you have a pick up arranged in advance if you are taking the train. Overall very nice property that we would visit again, and wouldn’t hesitate to book this way again if it was still cheaper. (You never talk to the owner, you just deal w/ the hotel when you get here)

winter wonderland

I have stayed at the lodge a few times in the past and absoloutly love everything about the property. I was a little apprehensive as I have never done a vrbo. I was pleasantly surprised to see the exact same accommodations and services we have loved in the past. Tim was great and very helpful with my reservation. His advise and kindness did not go unnoticed. Thank you for another memorable stay at the lodge.

The Whiteface Lodge is the only Lake Placid property in my exclusive portfolio because when I am visiting Lake Placid there is nowhere else I would rather stay! I am an owner here at this property too. I am renting a Junior Suite, multiple 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom Suites, and two separate 3 Bedroom Grand Lodge Suites at this property.

Because it's Awesome! If you are looking for more than just a room to lie your head down, this property has all the amenities to pamper you and your family. You can fill your entire day with everything from swimming in the pools and hot tubs to playing in the game room, watching a movie in the theater, to treating yourself to a spa treatment or taking a quick trip down to the guest only Canoe "Beach" Club. I love bringing my family here, but I also like treating my friends. The property is great for couples and large groups too. We love getting together here and each time we do it is a very special experience.
