The rustic log cabin facade of Shady Lane Lodge is reminiscent of a classic Texas farmhouse, surrounded by mature shade trees and acres of picturesque countryside. Once inside, the entire home is finished with charming knotty pine paneling. A double-sided stone fireplace anchors the soaring vaulted ceilings in the living area in the center of the room. Sun-kissed skylights allow the natural light to flow in and highlight the leather sofas, plush armchairs, and large HDTV.



On the other side of the fireplace is the farmhouse dining table with seating for six—a peninsula bar with seating for four leads into the bright and pristine kitchen. Natural wood cabinets continue the rustic vibe, while sparkling granite countertops and high-end appliances add chic and modern convenience. Brew a pot of coffee in the mornings, warm some blueberry muffins, and let your whole crew linger here while you discuss the day's upcoming adventures.



The primary suite on the main floor is entirely accessible and features a sumptuous king-size bed, HDTV, and a leather armchair. The ensuite bathroom has a double marble vanity and a zero-edge step-in shower with handrails, a bench, and multiple showerheads. The second guest bedroom also includes a king-size bed and HDTV. Another full bathroom has a tub/shower combo surrounded by unique, artistic tiles. The main floor consists of a spacious laundry room with a washer, two high-efficiency dryers, and a sink.



A lofted catwalk overlooking the living area below leads to the third and fourth bedrooms on the second floor. The third bedroom has two queen-size beds wrapped in vintage-inspired, colorful quilts. The attached bathroom has a step-in shower with elegant subway tiles. The fourth bedroom also features two queen-size beds.



The detached, two-car garage has been transformed into the most fabulous game room you've ever seen. A large leather sectional sofa faces the flatscreen television, creating the perfect spot to catch the game with a couple of cold beers. There's a regulation-size pool table, too— for challenging your crew to a game or two. Knotty pine walls and rugged metal paneling on the ceiling give the game room a laid-back, rustic style. Outside, a fire pit is surrounded by colorful, comfortable Adirondack chairs— a perfect spot to sip some wine and stargaze.



Shady Lane Lodge is designed to accommodate large groups of friends and family easily. You'll all be able to stay close together yet still have plenty of space to spread out. When you're ready to explore the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, vineyards, horseback riding, and hiking are nearby. Plus, the excitement and charm of downtown Fredericksburg— only two miles from your door.

We're delighted to welcome furry friends! This property is pet-friendly for dogs, unfortunately we can't accommodate cats at this time.

-Pet fee(s) of $155 plus tax will apply in addition to the nightly rate.

-Please check the weight limit and max number allowed for this unit.

-Please keep your pups leashed outside and clean up after them.

-A separate pet waiver must be signed.

-Any and all damages or issues caused by your pet to a unit or furnishing will be immediately charged to your credit card on file.



Guest Access:

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1250 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $79.00 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. Start-up sundries provided for the first two days; report missing items within one hour of arrival.

8. Pet-friendly units welcome pets with an additional fee; ensure pets are well-behaved and respectful.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. -Wood for the fire pit is not provided



For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.
