Venice vacay

Our stay here was Great! I stayed with my sister, we had so much fun! The place was clean, we enjoyed the pool and they had a basketball game in one of the bedrooms. We were close to the beach, park and downtown Venice.

Nice house; great pool.

The house was as expected. Plenty of room for everyone and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Close to downtown Venice and 3 great beaches! Property manager was easy to reach and quick to respond to all questions and concerns.

Peaceful relaxing vacation

Easyy renting and check in process. Great location. Property was clean and week stocked. Pool and hot tub were both clean and were ready to use. Pool toys available for use. Nice size tv with cable channels. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous Family Vacation Find

Our stay was fabulous!!! I wish we could rate even more stars!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The experience from start to end was great. Not only was the home spacious and clean but the little added touches were the best. Cannot thank this family enough for opening their home and providing us a place to make memories with our family! Looking forward to returning in the next few months! We found a home worth returning to and I know you will too!

Hi Richard, we always welcome constructive feedback from our guests, but after following up with the homeowners, we would like to clarify a few points: - We do not advertise a dishwasher, but the owners were happy to provide a portable one for you upon request. - We also do not advertise an ice maker. - As seen in the listing photos, there is room for three or four cars in the driveway. - The owners are not aware of any noises from the beds, but they will inspect those to ensure they are still in great condition. We encourage potential guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking, to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.

First of we tried to call and text the property manager and she never got back to us. When we arrived we found the garbage cans were overfilled. They looked like they had not been emptied for at-least a month. We tried the property manager and again no responses. We called Evolve and they said they would try and contact the owners. He got back to us stating he was out of the state. The property manager was out of the country so there was NO one there to help. I was told the cleaning people had been there but the toilets had yellowish stains inside. The front Screen door was broken and would not shut all the way. The two bedrooms on the side of the house with the shared bathroom need new mattresses. Very uncomfortable. The pool person left the hose in the pool. The worst VRBO we have ever experienced.

The timing of your stay coincided with a recent change in Venice’s trash service, including a new pickup schedule and bin delivery, which unfortunately disrupted waste removal. We understand how that impacted your first impression and truly regret the inconvenience. Regarding cleanliness, the home was cleaned before your arrival, but Florida’s natural water can sometimes leave staining in toilets despite our whole-home filtration system. Thank you for your feedback—it helps us improve the guest experience."

The home was convenient, but not quiet. It is on a main street with much traffic. At night, when vehicles went by, there was a light on the house next door, apparently a motion detector, that flashes right into the two side bedroom windows.The house itself is in need of a deep clean as the A/C grates in the living room are caked with dust. Also, the windows outside were very dirty and my wife had to clean them all.The front screen door is broken.The back fence is broken and held up by boards.The grill needed to be replaced and we are grateful that was done as well as fresh propane was reimbursed by the rental agent.The light in the fan on the deck does not work, limiting our evening use of the deck.Two light bulbs in the guest bath do not work along with the bathroom fan.There is no hot tub, despite being advertised.There is an internet camera on the back deck pointing to the table. Unnerving.The pool is well maintained and we did meet the pool guy who is very nice.Bottom line, this home is not a value at the advertised rate. However, we do appreciate the financial consideration the rental company provided for the issues encountered.Thank you.

After sharing your comments with the homeowner, they’d like to provide the following: - The home is in a quiet neighborhood, but we’re sorry if the motion-activated light from a neighboring house was disruptive. - Our cleaning team prepares the home before every stay, but we’ll take care of the A/C grates and check the exterior windows to ensure they meet our standards. - The hot tub was removed in October 2024 due to hurricane damage, and we had notified Evolve to update future guests. We regret the miscommunication and appreciate your understanding, as a refund was provided for the inconvenience. - There are security cameras at the front and back doors for guest and property safety, and the exterior-facing deck camera is in place for added security. We appreciate your feedback and always look for ways to improve the guest experience.

Enjoyed pool and hot tub, house not up to date

We had no problems with check in. House definitely needs some updates. First day in master shower, the shower head was shaking the whole wall & water not working properly. About 3 hours later finally got a response from the property manager that the neighbor would be coming over to look at it. He got a shower head he had at his house to replace it. The house is not well stocked. No kitchen scissors, pizza pan and not many pans. Definitely could use some more stuff to say it’s fully stocked. Only 3 wash cloths on the whole house. Was told more would be brought, but never were. Would recommend larger vanity in master bath instead of a pedestal. As there was no counter space. Water smells like sulfur. Shower fixtures in both bathrooms very out of date & handles are loose and hard to turn. 2 days before check out we woke up to the refrigerator not working. We lost our frozen items. Property manager’s husband brought coolers with ice. Refrigerator was ordered but did not arrive before we left. Luckily the neighbor man brought us a small apartment sizes refrigerator to use for the rest of our stuff. Thankful for the neighbor man or I believe we wouldn’t have gotten anything fixed. Hope these people pay him Something to help out. Pool was nice, but patio area could definitely use some power washing. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub the most. Nice sized yard. We requested a discount since we had so many problems. Was told she would ask the owners, but never heard another word. Probably not rent this house again. Caused way too much stress worrying about all the maintenance problems while on vacation. Did not feel that the owners of the house are involved just have put it off on a rental company.

An honest review: This property was perfect for our needs- a location very close to our friends. It’s not a perfect property, but it’s clean, in a safe location, has a pool (we didn’t use- wasn’t heated), and feels comfortable. We liked its proximity to Shamrock park and had fun riding bikes through there. It would benefit from a few upgrades- but you’re not paying top dollar and it is worth what you are paying.

Perfect location, perfect stay!

We loved the house! Had everything we needed. It was so nice to have the hot tube and pool available anytime we wanted. Close to beaches, which we went daily. Neighborhood was very quiet. We also enjoyed the park down the road to play tennis. We appreciated the baskets for shelling and shark tooth hunting. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and visiting family. Would stay here again.

Really met our needs

Nice place that meet our needs very well. A couple suggestions… more paper products. There were no napkins or paper towel and almost ran out of toilet paper. Some lounge chairs around the pool would have been nice. A cooler available to take to the beach would have been nice and maybe a list of places to go to eat or see. Did not like all the ants around the pool. Tried to call the owner before we checked in and could not even leave a message as the voice mailbox was full. Overall it was a very nice place and us for ladies had a great visit. Thank you!!!
