This was an ideal home to use as a base to explore the magnificent Cairns area. Everything was absolutely perfect and had all the basics provided! Definitely was home from home!! The layout of the home and the styling is fabulous!Can definitely highly recommend this property and I will most definitely be booking here again!

What a beautiful property. The photos are accurate and the home is spotless. Jacqueline and Richard have great communication and answer questions promptly. Plenty of living areas for you to spread out and the view from the balcony are delightful. Situated in the hills in a quiet residential area, recommend the use of a car. We recommend this property to all. We stayed for a week and truly enjoyed cairns, the weather wasn’t the best on our visit so we didn’t use the pool, but it did look very inviting.

Great place to gather with international friends for a week visiting the cairns region. With everything you need to enjoy a wonderful holiday home, from the fabulous view, exceptional family spaces & a kitchen set up with everything you need to share home cooked meals with your friends.

Beautiful property & excellent host!

Our family loved our stay at Hillview. The house is beautiful and functional with a breathtaking view. It close drive to the city & attraction areas. Jacqueline and Richard are excellent hosts - informative and responsive. We will definitely stay there again when we come to Cairns next time.

Family holiday

We had a fabulous stay. The house was beautiful, plenty of space for all of us and extremely well equipped. The views from the balcony were stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cairns. The owners always responded promptly.

Fabulous House

This was a fabulous house to use as a base in Cairns. We were comfortable, enjoyed a great view towards the CBD and found it easy to get around even without a car for most of our stay. The house was beautifully styled and stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Magnificent Views

We had a great time at this property in Cairns. The views were absolutely amazing. We had so much room for us to socialize, read, chat and play games. We loved being close to the Botanic Gardens which we visited several times. The property was very clean, warm and relaxing. The kitchen was well equiped.

Lovely Spot

We came in the rainy season (Dec-Feb) and the huge porches were a real blessing to sit out on. The house is up a lot (4 stories up from road level) but it works just fine - be sure you can handle steps. Main living area is large and open and very pleasant. View of Cairns and the mountains is wonderful to wake up to.

Thank you for your positive review we are glad you and your guests had a lovely time and enjoyed the expansive views. I just have to correct the amount of stairs because your review could be a little misleading. There are one and a half sets of stairs to the first floor and an indoor staircase to take you to the upper floor of the house. Hence the fantastic views:)

Amazing views, fabulous house!

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at Hillview. The house was exactly as described, clean and stylish. It is in a great location, a few minutes into the centre of cairns, but also really handy for the main road north. The views from the veranda are amazing, whatever the weather. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Quiet peaceful location with breathtaking views of Cairns & surrounding mountains

Lovely home with amazing views in a quiet peaceful location. The property as a whole has a very relaxed atmosphere and the hosts were very obliging with any queries we had during our stay. We wish we could have had more time to just sit, relax and enjoy the home and beautiful surrounds, but our schedule was very full, doing all the "touristy" things Cairns has to offer. We will definitely be back to take the time to just chill, unwind and appreciate all this lovely property has to offer.

From the time of our arrival we fell in love with this property. The layout of the house suited our seven family members, ranging in age from 29 to 78. The spaciousness gave us all areas to have a break from one another if needed. The kitchen was decked out with everything we needed for self catering, from coffee machine to serving dishes to wine glasses and dishwasher just to name a few things.We were sad to leave it after 5 nights of relaxing together.Thankyou Jacqueline and Richard, we hope to be back one day.

Dream stay

We had the most amazing stay at this house. Every day we’d wake up and just be in complete awe of the view. We had so many plans of activities we wanted to do while in Cairns but we were all having such a relaxing time, we didn’t want to leave the house. I have never stayed somewhere that I didn’t want to leave. We all left the holiday refreshed, rested and relaxed. Absolutely beautiful house. Amazing hosts. Hopefully we will be back again

Stunning property

Our stay was sensational. The property, views, and location was perfect. The lovely little areas at the back and front of house were so special and we utilised every one of them. We met our super hosts who were absolutely gorgeous and so helpful. We cooked in most nights as the front veranda was so accommodating with the best views we didn’t want to be any where else. The nice touch of a bottle of wine and nibbles was very much appreciated - cannot wait to go back next year. Thank you Jacqueline & Richard. 👏

Exceptional!Perfect for Large Groups It is rare to find a home that truly caters to 8–10 guests, but this house delivers. With a dining table, lounge, and balcony large enough for everyone, our group of eight adults (ages 19–60) never felt crowded. There was a perfect balance of communal areas and private space to spread out.A Haven in All Weather. Even during a week of rain, the house was a beautiful haven. We spent our time in total comfort, looking out over the stunning views of Cairns and the mountains. Exceptional Facilities & Cleanliness. The house was exceptionally clean and styled with simple, tasteful decor. We loved the generous kitchen facilities and were especially grateful for the thoughtful pantry staples provided.Seamless Communication. From booking to departure, communication with Jacqueline and Richard was efficient and friendly. Instructions for arrival were clear, and any inquiries we had during our stay were met with prompt, helpful responses that were never overbearing.Highly Recommendt.This accommodation turned a good holiday into an amazing one. If we ever return to Cairns, we wouldn't look anywhere else. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Dit huis is absoluut het mooiste vakantiehuis van onze reis. Prachtige stijl, mooie ligging en uitzicht over Cairns. Contact met eigenaar verliep soepel. Wifi was ook goed (belangrijk voor de kinderen :-)

Fabulous Views & picture perfect location

The property and all the amenities were amazing & suitable for our adult family. There was enough space for us all to have privacy and time together. Views from balcony are stunning. Owners were wonderful. I really cant thank them enough for their kindness and generosity especially with a super late check out to correspond with flights home. Would definitely stay again :)
