Cozy & Cute

We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed our stay at the home! Dean was helpful during our check-in and check-out process and very reachable if we ever needed something or had any questions. The living room area is very cozy and comfortable. The space is also quite large for the prime location in Chicago. We were able to walk and visit many sites as well as food spots. There were many helpful notes around the house as well as amenities such as extra blankets, board games, and shower supplies that made the stay even better. Highly recommend the home and look forward to returning in the future.

Dean did a grate job of communicating with me and helping me get into the building.

Walking distance to many good restaurants and right next to the el. Kind of hard to find at night and you have to walk up two flights of stairs. Great kitchen and livening area (Whole foods is near by). It was the perfect place for business travelers. About a 20 minute drive to McCormick place . I almost gave it 4 stars because of the brutal Chicago wind but thats not the property's fault.

Wonderful Location & Service!!

We just got home from our amazing girl's trip in Chicago!! The VRBO process was amazing from start to finish. Dean was wonderful and super responsive. The place itself was in a wonderfully centralized location! The only constructive thing I would say is maybe hang a few more mirrors in there (5 girls, 2 mirrors was a little tricky). The place was great, and we would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much.

Great apt and location

We had a family vacation in Chicago and wanted a central location. This apt is well equipped, modern and GREAT location. You do have 2 flights of stairs but if able bodied its really not a problem at all. We would recommend if you are coming to Chicago (and if you haven't been to Chicago, you really should).

Great location, very cool place!

Dean was a great host, responded very quickly! The location is great.. right across from CTA station for quick access to the loop and right beside a bar with better food than you’d think! The place was well maintained and perfect for 2 couples! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location!

We loved the location. There is a bar downstairs but we didn't hear it. The stairs were long and narrow. The owner was excellent with all communication and very helpful. We were able to walk all over the city from our door. It was great! The apartment wasn't quite as nice as the photos made it look but it was perfectly fine. They also had everything we needed ready and present. It was a perfect place for us! Highly recommend.

Booked this property based on the description and pictures. A few things were left out. 1) 3 story walk up. old steps. not very easy. 2) Above a bar. While the apartment was survivable, it really could use a good cleaning.

Perfect situated appartment at a 15-20min walk from the Magnificent Mile. It's situated on the third floor and comfortable with the Keurig coffee Machine and the bluetooth speaker! The noise of the loop and the music of the restaurant can be heard but isn't disturbing. Especially the parking lot behind the house was great for us! Communication with the owner was perfect. Only one negative point, we like to prepare our own breakfast, baking pans need to be refreshed, but we survived :-)

Exactly what we were looking for

This location and the large space fit our group of five adults perfectly. It was easy to get to galleries, restaurants, and landmarks (walking, ride-share and bus) but we also bought groceries and supplies at Walgreen's (1.5 blocks away) and enjoyed eating and drinking around the kitchen island under the sky light. Dean was 100% responsive about everything and flexible with our requests - much appreciated! Please note that there are two flights of stairs to access the apartment - great for exercise but we would not have wanted to navigate with young kids/strollers.

This is really a great place to stay!

I really enjoyed staying here because it is spacious and very thoughtfully equipped for out of towners. I love the fact that it’s a flat and I don’t have to deal with elevators. The location is great! The unit has a kuerig, which I was very excited to see. The furniture is comfy. The television is easy to use( I’m technologically challenged) My friends and I are really happy with our decision to stay here.

Great place to stay with amazing hosts!

What a cool apartment and area. Dean and Suzi were so accommodating with our bag drop off needs and suggestions for things to do and places to eat. There was a problem with our refrigerator which Suzi was fixing as we arrived. She went above and beyond to make sure we have refrigeration and ice. We couldn’t have asked for more. Yes, the L is right across the street and makes some noise. But, you’re staying in the city! It really wasn’t bad and was actually very convenient for catching the train to Wrigley. We walked everywhere else. Great place and even greater hosts. Thank you, Dean and Suzi

Awesome location!

Our family group of four enjoyed staying in this River North apartment. We got a CTA pass and took advantage of the subway station and two bus stops on our block. We felt very safe and comfortable in this apartment. It was roomy for our group and quiet in the two bedrooms. My teenage daughter slept on the enormous sofa and used a fan and noise machine to block out the subway noise. We visited the Starbucks, Dunkin Doughnuts, and Walgreens which were right across the street. Dean and his wife were quick to respond with our questions about finding local grocery stores. I look forward to staying here on my next visit to Chicago!

Home away from home 🧡

We loved the apartment! I spent 5 days in a hotel for a conference before my boyfriend and his father joined me for some sightseeing in Chicago. Staying in the apartment made us feel more like locals. The location was great, and the apartment had enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. The L was close by (across the street), but we really couldn’t hear it at night—and I’m a very light sleeper. A bus stop is right outside the door. It’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. The apartment has just about everything we needed to feel like we were hanging out at home after we finished seeing the town. There are many great food options within walking distance—including right downstairs (great blonde brownie dessert). Coffee shops abound. Ok, there are two flights of stairs, and the first one is a bit wonky, but it’s not too much to handle for such a sweet abode. They add character! I can’t recommend the place enough. I’d definitely stay there again if the chance presented itself! This was my first time renting an apartment instead of a hotel room, but, after this experience, it won’t be the last!

Comfortable apartment in wonderful location

Pros: Spacious, modern, updated apartment. Very well equipped...lots of dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. The furniture and bedding were all very comfortable. TV is a large smartv with features. Location is exceptional...right across the street from the El station, and about 8 blocks from Michigan ave. Lots of restaurants, art galleries, and stores in the area. A good long walk could take you anywhere. Dean, the owner, was amazingly quick with his responses to any questions or concerns. Cons: Right across the street from the El. Significant noise from other sources, as well. Apartment had a few dings and dongs, such as several ceiling lights needing to be replaced, but nothing that bothered any of us. Most important is that there are two flights of steep steps to be climbed. With luggage and such, this was a bit of a chore. Again, this did not bother our family. No DVD player. Not sure anyone cared. Takeaway: Our family was extremely pleased with the unit and our stay. This was not your run-of-the-mill unit in a standard building. It is right above a restaurant. (How cool is that!?!) For some of the reasons listed above, it might not be suitable for everyone, so I gave it four stars. For us, it was probably more like a five star experience, especially knowing that the owner seemed to have our back the entire time we were there. We would definitely stay there again. The Taffs

Spacious apartment in River North

6 of us stayed at this apartment for a fun girls’ trip to Chicago. We had a great time & the apartment was perfect! Large living room / kitchen area, so we didn’t feel crowded at all. 2 bathrooms with showers was great for 6 women getting ready at the same time. We received the check-in codes on time (a little early even). The refundable damage deposit was returned about 1.5 weeks after the trip. We would definitely come back for a future trip. Thanks!

Great location! And amenities!

We had a great time in Chicago. The apartment was in an awesome location, Close to the the “L”, and very central to lots of sites. We were able to walk many sites in ten to 20 minutes max. The stairs can be daunting (it’s on the third floor, and they are a little steep), but just remember safety first (3 point access). The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly! Thanks, it was a very fun and memorable family vacation!

Very clean and spacious!

Great experience! The two flights of stairs were tough to carry our coolers up but overall amazing place, Dean was awesome and GREAT location! Will definitely be back!
