Enjoy 120 acres in Sun Valley with unparalleled views of Baldy and beyond

Michelle, Thanks you for the 5 star review but I wish when we were texting during your stay that you had asked about some of these other things! The main fire pit is on the Baldy view patio and was shoveled and wood was laid out for you, I am guessing you didn't realize it has a cover (to keep snow out of the fire pit) that can be used as a table but that there is a smokeless fire pit underneath it. It is wonderful and cozy on a snowy evening, and there are blankets to wrap up in laid out in the baskets by the door. There is a second fire pit on the south side of the house in the upper backyard which is lovely on sunny spring afternoons (nothing nicer than sitting there in the sun after backyard skiing in February or March!) but in December/January it is usually too cold to enjoy it and we don't usually keep it shoveled during that time. Sledding- so bummed you didn't ask. When the driveway is snow covered it is so much fun. I just clocked my teenagers going over 30 mph - helmets required for sure! We had laid out the orange toboggan for you - that is the fastest, and the more people you pile on the faster you go. And for a real thrill try it in the dark! Just be sure to have someone drive down to the bottom (it is a half mile run) to block any cars from driving up during the sledding. Yes, the house is light filled with huge windows everywhere which is not for everyone. I am sorry to hear the full moon kept you up, but for anyone reading this who does enjoy sleeping with the light of the moon, it is truly magical when full and bouncing off the white snow when it surrounds the house. The smaller three bedrooms do have black-out shades (also helpful for anyone going to bed early in the summer while it is still light until 10pm) but the master bedroom does not, and with no neighbors we enjoy the views from the master bed, but yes it is helpful to point out that there are no shades in the master if you prefer to have them. This is not the house for anyone who wants to walk to town or to other activities- it offers privacy and peace and quiet and a backyard for endless hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and sledding when there is snow. It is 20 minutes to Ketchum and 15 minutes to Hailey, but feels farther away from everything once you are here!
