The place was as described and has a lovely rustic feel. The host could have had the fire pit more organised and provide the guests with kindling and newspaper or fire starters. The place says pet friendly but if you have your dog outside it has to be on a leash. We managed and luck we were organised and bought a long lead with us.All In all a lovely place to stay.

Very cute and perfect size for a weekend away. Only just out of town by car. The DVD collection was huge! And the small kitchen area had everything we needed, with a BBQ and fire pit outside. That and the reverse cycle kept us warm. We’d definitely stay again.

Hi Adam! Thank you for your 5/5 review of Scribbly Gum Cottage! We are so glad that you loved your stay and that you loved the location as well! Beautiful and rustic, Scribbly Gum Cottage is a rebuilt original settler's cottage that was moved to Kangaroo Valley in the 1990s and painstakingly restored. Every cottage window provides a glimpse of the countryside. Our location is ideal for couples that enjoy a rural, rustic atmosphere because it has a charming fire pit in the backyard. Thank you once again for being an amazing guest. We look forward to hosting you again in the future! Kind regards, The Getawayz Team

We had the best stay at this little gem ,honestly, we’re considering not telling anyone about it so we can keep it to ourselves .The cottage is ridiculously cute and cosy, with views from every window .The stars? Show-offs. The fire pit? Perfect excuse to sit outside and do absolutely nothing (our favourite activity).Loved the fresh eggs, comfy setup, and being just close enough to town without sacrificing the peace and quiet.Came for a relaxing getaway… left wondering if we could just move in permanently.
