Fabulous home just minutes from the beach

I couldn't have been happier with this property. The beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed including bicycles, Beach chairs and wave boards. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed. We will definitely be staying here again.

Oak Island Family Gathering

This trip was for a family gathering at Oak Island. We had several family members spread out in different rentals across the island! This was a great little cottage in a great location. It was clean and cozy, and just the right size! Property owner checked in with us to ensure we were comfortable! It was a great experience!

Awesome home!

The house was very cozy and felt homey. Contact with owner was easy. We stayed with our two children (8&3). The home had everything we needed, and the location was perfect. Weve stayed at oak Island 3 times and this was our favorite little home. Very clean. Definitely recommend if youre looking for a place for a small family.

The cottage was very nice and cozy for the two of us. I loved that green chair!! It was great for reading/relaxing. The cottage was very close to the shops in Oak Island as well as close to Southport. I really love Southport. Plan on visiting again soon.

Great First Experience

First time using a VRBO and it was a very pleasant experience! The cottage was quite pleasant, well furnished, and very tastefully decorated. Check out responsibilities are very light. We were in town for a funeral, but, if we return, I would rent this property in a heartbeat.

Great in every way!

Our stay was exactly what we needed and then some! So comfortable and everything was in the home that you do not think about needing such as kitchen extras. My husband wanted me to forward his comment to the owner which is “Thank you, we had absolutely everything we needed. You are great at hosting!” If you’re looking for a place that is great, and close to everything including beach access this is it.

Decent place, good location

Home was fine but I’m pretty sure the towels in our bathroom were dirty! 🤢. Also, the twin beds weren’t made. Other than that, the home was fine for our needs but cleanliness is really important so that made our stay a bit less enjoyable.

We recently dealt with a guest who caused damage to some linens, but we have since replaced the affected items to ensure everything is up to standard for future guests. - Concerning the twin beds, they were left unmade as the reservation was booked for two guests, and it was assumed the additional beds would not be needed. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and appreciate how vital such details are for a comfortable stay. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! Comfy, Cozy, Classy Cottage

We LOVED our stay at this wonderfully charming cottage. It’s located in a nice neighborhood and is conveniently located to everything on the island without being right in the middle of the crowds. The cottage is lovely. Everything looks even better than in the posted photos, and it’s very clean. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances, serving and dish ware, and eating and cooking utensils. The grill works great. Every accommodation from bed linens to bath towels to bikes was graciously provided! We enjoyed each minute of our stay and just wish it could have been longer. We HIGHLY recommend!!!

Quick Trip to the Beach

We decided to take the children to beach for a quick vacation before school starts. This house is the prefect size for our 4-person family. The rooms were big, bathrooms were perfect (we loved the ceiling showerhead in the master.) the kids loved the outdoor shower after a long day playing in the sand. There was no walking to restaurants or any other places. You could walk to the beach but it was a 15-20 min walk. It was not an issue for us to drive to a beach access spot. we have already talked about renting this place again on our next Oak Island trip.

Close by and quaint

We really enjoyed staying here. Our favorite part was riding around on their cute bikes to shops and the beach. Everything was about a 10 minute bike ride away! We wouldn’t recommend these bikes for long distance rides but short term strolls are lovely. They are old street cruisers, good for cruising. Anyway, the house was VERY clean, we arrived late and weren’t huge fans of having to make the bed when we got there, but there are definitely worse things. There also isn’t filtered water here so we recommend bringing your own water unless you want to drink from the kitchen faucet. Bed was SUPER comfy, house was warm, little outdoor screened patio was great to get air without bugs (because NC is buggy). Quiet neighborhood. Overall great stay.

Great Stay! Beautiful Home!

We enjoyed our stay! Lovely home! The setup was perfect too! The only thing I would have liked is to have been a lil closer to the beach, it’s hard running back and forth from the beach to the home to take everyone to a bathroom. Besides that the home had everything we needed for the beach. Bikes to ride, games, it was a fun filled family vacation! Next time we will rent a golf cart 6 months prier to the visit and that will be ideal!We will definitely be back to Oak Island again! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home away from home!
