Thank you for your feedback. We’re disappointed with this review, as it does not accurately reflect the property or the experience of the many guests we’ve hosted over the past 5 years. Throughout your stay, we remained responsive and repeatedly encouraged you to let us know if anything needed attention so we could address it promptly. Each time something was brought to our attention, we made every effort to resolve it as quickly as possible—for example, the door hardware issue was repaired soon after it was reported. It’s important to emphasize that this is a country cottage, not a city property. Features such as well water (which can result in lower pressure at times) and natural movement in hardwood flooring are normal characteristics of this type of setting and are not defects. These elements are part of the cottage experience and have not been an issue for the vast majority of our guests. We also note that several concerns raised were minor in nature, not visible or impactful to the overall stay, or were addressed during your visit. Despite our ongoing communication and willingness to assist, it seemed difficult to meet expectations. With over 100 positive reviews on Airbnb and years of consistent hosting, we stand by the quality of the home and the level of service we provide. We will continue to maintain and improve the property, but we believe this review does not fairly represent the experience most guests have. We wish you all the best in your future travels.
