Merbau is a stylish apartment, in a newly-built urban villa, located a short walk away from the famous Stari Grad (Old Town), boasting gorgeous views across Dubrovnik and the Adriatic. All the front rooms in the apartment lead to the large balcony which runs the length of the flat giving visitors a panoramic view of the city from the fortress of Lovrjenac to Lapad bay and the islands beyond. The outdoor dining area is shaded and is perfect for watching the sun set over the stunning Adriatic Islands to the west of Dubrovnik.

We had a great stay, for a week. Apartment has great views, short downhill walk into town and easy to get ubers for getting back if you want to. Host is super helpful and responsive too. All in all, very highly recommended.

Nice Dubrovnik Stay

Enjoyed our time in DBV. The apartment was spacious and gave us what we needed for family of four. We walked down the steps (about 15-20 min) each morning for breakfast or a tour…we called an uber each time to go back up. Easy ride to all the beaches and straight line drive to airport home. Thank you for a great stay for our memorable trip.

Great view on Dubrovnik with amazing sunsets. Be prepared to walk many stairs to get in town or just get to the market. Apartment very clean and well furnished. We had a great time here.

Amazing Views and Helpful Host

The host was incredibly helpful with any and all needs, even arranging a transfer from the airport for us. The flat was clean and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The views were amazing. It is quite the hike up to the apartment from Dubrovnik but it’s well worth the sunsets. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Gorgeous view

Gorgeous view from the balcony. Angela had great communication and met us at the apartment early. As mentioned by others, it's a lot of steps but getting an Uber back up was easy and inexpensive. It was a good "home base" for us as we explored Dubrovnik.

Fabulous apartment

We had a fabulous time staying in this apartment. The sunset view is amazing, and it's close enough to the Old Town to walk there. There are plenty of Ubers to help get you home if you don’t fancy the steps. Great communication with the owner, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. Enjoy

Beautiful apartment / stunning city

Beautiful apartment with a stunning view of the city of Dubrovnik. We travel quite a bit and this is the best place we stayed in by far - well appointed / decorated, has all the essentials you need, the property manager and her staff are incredibly responsive and helpful and the view of Dubrovnik is breath-taking. Clean, spacious apartment in Dubrovnik

We stayed at the apartment for a week. It was in a beautiful location, within walking distance of the old town and new town. Wonderful view from the large balcony. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. The check in and check out process was smooth. All in all, the best apartment we've stayed in. It was a wonderful base to explore Dubrovnik and the nearby islands and towns. Would definitively recommend, and would stay here again!!

Summer city break

Amazing property. Can walk down to old town. Steep walk down load steps but nice if done early. Easy to get taxi back. Property is lovely. Supermarket in walking distance. Everything you need in property. Host is lovely and easy to get hold of. Would highly recommend 10/10 couldn’t fault.

Fantastic Views

This is a great apartment for a stay in Dubrovnik. Plenty of room for a family of four and very clean and tidy. Everything you could need in the kitchen and plenty of hot water for the bathroom which had a lovely, powerful shower. It's a nice walk down to the Old Town. Lots of steps, some very steep so be prepared. Like other reviewers, we never walked back up to the apartment due to Ubers being in abundance and very cheap. (5 euro). The view from the balcony is breath-taking and the large outdoor terrace is an absolute must in the hot weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment.

View Outstanding

We were greeted by friendly and helpful Angela! She booked us an Uber from the ferry. Plus helped us with bus routes. Absolutely fantastic communication through WhatsApp. The apartment has an amazing view and everything we needed!!! Two minor flaws were the lack of mirror in primary room as well as kitchen lights. Pro and con about the place is the many steps up and down to old town. We would recommend this place if you need a place away from hustle and bustle of old town but close enough to it. Thank you for having a comfortable place.

Fantastic apartment, incredible view

We had an amazing experience in this rental. The host was very responsive and communicative leading up to our stay, and the property manager met us for check in to quickly and unobtrusively go over key points of the rental. It is spacious and beautiful, super clean, nice well-appointed kitchen, beautiful bathroom (best shower!), great bedrooms. We loved it here. And the view! The listing photos don’t even do it justice. We saw the sunset of our lives from the deck. It is a lot of stairs down to town but a very picturesque walk, and everywhere in Dubrovnik is a lot of stairs. There is a small market at the bottom of the first set of stairs (5 min down, 10 min back up). The host and property manager were awesome our whole stay and I was sad to leave this place!

Stunning apartment

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment. The views across the sea were amazing. The balcony had a suitable amount of sun and shade, depending on your preference and had uninturrupted views from all angles. It was fully equiped with everything we needed to have a comfortable family holuday. We travelled in August and the heat was shocking, something we'd need to take into account when travelling again.We were able to walk down the 500 steps to the Old Town every day, but needed to taxi it home. We had been informed of this before we travelled. Contact with Gordana was excellent throughout our stay and she showed such kindness to us. Gorgeous view of Adriatic Sea from covered deck!

Stayed for 10 days and flat was very comfortable for 2 adults. Beds were comfortable, linens nice and clean, and plenty of closet space. Appreciated the washing machine tucked in the bathroom and the extra separate toilet/powder room. Kitchen was well appointed for our cooking needs. Our absolute favorite part was the large covered deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee and watched spectacular sunsets most evenings. We were able to walk to old town and the newer port with ease as well as some larger grocery stores for supplies. Ubers we’re easy to order (only $6.50 Euros) especially if you don’t want to walk back up all the stairs. Once you get dropped off, there is only one flight of stairs to the flat. Angela, the local contact, was super helpful and Gordana was very accommodating when we asked to check in early. We would definitely rent this place again!

Appartement idéalement situé sur les hauteurs de Dubrovnik

Appartement très agréable dans une résidence calme... l'emplacement avec parking est idéal : il permet d'accéder facilement aux grands axes pour aller à l'extérieur de Dubrovnik et les remparts sont accessibles à pied grâce aux nombreux escaliers qui sillonnent la vieille ville. La vue est superbe sur la baie... la climatisation a été appréciée pour notre séjour en août ! La literie était très correcte. Seul bémol, les spots de la cuisine ne fonctionnaient plus (on utilisait la lumière de la hotte) et la vaisselle n'était pas toujours nickel ! Quelques accessoires de rangement (porte manteau dans la salle de bains ou dans l'entrée auraient été un plus). Notre emplacement de parking était parfois occupé mais nous avons toujours réussi à nous stationner dans la résidence. C'est un appartement que je recommanderai à des proches.

Great View/Many Steps

This place was just as advertised. Checkin was a breeze and communication with the owner was easy. The view from the terrace was exceptional but came with many steps to go up and down to Old Town area. We opted for Uber and it was always quick and easy. I would definitely book this apartment for another stay.

A few changes could make this listing really great

The high point: it’s high up. I counted 420 stairs + walking up from old town. This makes the balcony view excellent. Great sunsets can be enjoyed here. Some comfy chairs and side tables on a clean balcony would make the view exceptional. Theres plenty of hot water, but the shower is tiny and the doors need work. Appreciated the water in the refrigerator , but milk as a welcome gift? I’ve stayed in several apartments…wine generally seems de rigeur. A notebook with suggestions, for instance, about what to see, where to eat, the best way to walk to the old city, a guide to the TV channels, maybe even info on local transportation would have been helpful. Dubrovnik is a charming little city. With a little more attention to detail this would be a perfect place to stay.

Schönes Appartment, aber technische Defekte

Wie im Inserat beschrieben, handelt es sich um eine sehr schöne Wohnung mit hervorragendem Ausblick zum Meer vom großen Balkon aus. Kommunikation mitz der Vermieterin lief perfekt. Leider gab es ein paar technische Defizite. Die Duschkabine ließ sich nur halbseitig schließen und das Duschwasser floss nicht ab. Einige Fenster und Türen zeigten Defekte, darunter auch die Einganstür. Insgesamt recht viele Gebrauchsspuren.

Idéal pour profiter de la vieille ville

Location très bien équipée et idéalement placée pour profiter de la vieille ville de Dubrovnik. Elle a l'avantage d'être située à 1/4 d'heure de la vieille ville et donc d'éviter de subir l'agitation estivale toute la journée. D'autre part, elle permet de rayonner autour de Dubrovnik pour découvrir les îles et autres sites touristiques intéressants.
