Charming lakefront getaway nestled on sought-after East Lake Weir, often dubbed a "Home away from Home" by vacationers! Please note, this property does not come with a dock. Start your days with a stunning sunrise over the tranquil lake while relaxing on the screened porch. Enjoy the array of amenities, including corn hole toss, a single-person kayak, a paddleboard, a paddleboat, and two hammocks for relaxation. Additionally, savor evening barbecues on the back patio with the gas grill while taking in the breathtaking sunsets over Lake Weir. Just a short stroll away, Gator Joe's restaurant Beach Bar & Grille offers drinks and live music every Friday through Sunday. Across the lake, Eaton's Beach Bar & Grille provides a mix of fine dining and beach bar atmosphere with live music. Conveniently located near major Orlando attractions, just an hour's drive away, and minutes from excellent dining options. The home is also a quick 15-minute drive to The Villages or Ocala. Lake Weir is renowned for bass, bluegill, and shellcracker fishing. Inside, find laundry facilities, a spacious pantry, and a fully equipped kitchen. The screened in back porch and outside with gorgeous views of Lake Weir made the house hard to match. Lots of room, great food nearby.... This is a great find. Joe was very responsive for any questions we had. Highly recommend.

We love Bright & Cozy. We stayed last year and this year the owner had already made some wonderful changes. Kitchen is like new. Two nice bathrooms, 4 bedrooms with plenty of room. Huge, spacious, screened porch facing lake with table and chairs, BIG screen tv, huge overhead fan and smaller oscillating fan. TV i.ln most bedrooms. Tons of games. Access to walk right into lake of beautiful, white sandy beach. Great for adults and children. Local restaurant "Gator Joe's " right on water within walking distance. We loved it and will schedule again next year

Thanksgiving on Lake Weir

Our week stay at the lake house was great. The house was roomy and well equipped with all we needed. The properties owners were friendly and easily accessible. They made sure to let us know if we needed anything to just reach out. They even brought us a serving platter for us to use on Thanksgiving for our turkey. The outdoor space is beautiful. We enjoyed the hammocks and witnessed some beautiful sunsets. Would definitely book again and recommend.

Great Vacation for Family

This was the first time staying at this location and we loved it. The house was dirty when we arrived but after speaking to the owners, they handled the situation like professionals. We stayed for the week, and it was perfect! Great location, beautiful beach area and plenty of room for 3 small families. We will definetly be back!!

Comforts of Home

This was our 3rd year staying here! A week long vacation with family. It has all the comforts of home. Our days were spent on our boat, tubing, jet skiing, swimming & just relaxing on the screened porch. Already made reservations for next year! The owners were available if needed.

AMAZING!

This home was absolutely beautiful to stay in. Although we stayed outside most of the time on the beautiful beach and in the large screened porch, the house was great as well. Plenty of space for a family to enjoy. We did not even leave the property; with plenty to do right there on the beach; our family went on the kayak, stand up board and fished from the peddle boat, caught 30! We were very happy with our selection of this home! The sunset will not disappoint. Owners were pleasure to meet and immediately available. This is a must visit again longer next time home!

Great Lake House

Had a great time at this property with my family. We visit Florida every year and this was our first time staying here. Couple things to note that I didnt see in the description or check in details: 1. A gate code is needed to get to the house/driveway. Luckily the owner was nearby upon arrival so that worked out. 2. The house (bathrooms mainly) could use a good deep cleaning. 3. Owners are very responsive. We had an issue with the outdoor hose and it was addressed early the next day. We enjoyed the canoe, bags game, volleyball, lake and sunset views, etc! Would recommend this home to others!

Another Fantastic Week on Lake Weir!

This was our second year booking this house and taking our Grandkids (and great-grands) for time at the Lake. It is so wonderful for all ages! We launched our boat nearby no problem and kept it anchored in 2 ft water the whole time with no issues. The older kids loved paddling over to Gator Joes and tubing.The younger one loved the beach and the clear shallow water. The porch was the perfect gathering place for mornings and after sundown. The umbrella for the table in the water was great sun relief after a couple of days. Thanks Joe & Whitney for the stay. We are already planning our 2024 Lake trip!

Family Lake Trip

The lake house accommodated our family well. Everyone had their own space and the back porch and yard is where we spent most of our time. The sandy beach area was shallow and good for young kids and pets to play. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the kitchen and grilling outside. I would recommend bringing propane if you plan to use the grill and we did have to clean it before use. There is a nearby Publix to purchase any groceries or necessities and two lake front restaurants, which were both very good.

Accommodating & Relaxing

This was our 2nd summer staying here and have already scheduled our 2024 vaca. We spent most of our time enjoying lake activities, playing cards/games on the screen porch while watching the sunsets. Our family of 11 fit comfortably throughout the house and plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking meals. Kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils you will need. Loved that there is a washer and dryer! Joe & Whitney are very responsive, if needed!

Our favorite vacation 3 years running

As always, our family loved spending time at your beautiful lake home. This is our 3rd summer in a row coming here. The house is spacious and has all the amenities for cooking and 2 very good restaurants on the lake that we love taking the boat to and enjoying a good meal or just having an appetizer and drink.
