Open living space with a central slow-combustion fireplace, ceiling fans and air-conditioning means year-round comfort. The kitchen is modern, stylish and sure to make holiday cooking for a family easy. Follow the sounds of the water and wander through the lush garden to the rear gate and the Buckland river beyond. The pebbled firepit is perfect for roasting marshmallows or enjoying a wine. The forest birds by day and the frogs by night are the soundtrack to your tranquil getaway, yet this quiet cul-de-sac location is only 13 minutes from Bright and 8 minutes from Porepunkah.

A galley kitchen with everything you need for holiday cook up with friends or family. A coffee pod machine with biodegradable ā€˜St Ali Coffee Roastersā€™ pods awaits you in the morning. The kitchen has a dishwasher, plenty of bench space and kitchenware for food prep. The table has ample space and bench seating comfortably for eight.

LOUNGE & ENTERTAINMENT
A large "L" shaped leather lounge and tub chairs allow all to play a board game or snuggle around the centrally located woodfire and watch some Netflix. There is WIFI at the property and a Smart TV, a reading nook, plenty of books and magazines and many board games on offer.

Heating: Woodfire in the living room, panel heaters in all bedrooms and a split system in the open plan lounge and dining room. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied. Additional firewood can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

Cooling: Split System AC located in the lounge/dining. Bedrooms 1 & 2 plus the dining area have ceiling fans.

Beautiful house, perfectly set up with everything we needed, clean and comfortable with fans and air con. River at the back was wonderful for refreshing dips and relaxing spot to read and enjoy the beauty. Close to Bright and other towns with great shops, food, supermarket, swimmimg spots and opportunities to explore the beautiful surroundings

It was a great trip. House was beautiful and clean.

Very nice tidy house. Great backyard and river access.

Great family retreat

Nice family getaway. Warm inside. Heaters in all bedrooms. Great homely setup. Can go fishing in back river. Kids loved it. Although Wifi and phone reception not good. Would stay here again.

Really pleasant stay

This well appointed property gave off a real cosy cottage style appeal. He river behind the property makes it unique. Definitely one to revisit in the summer. Only suggestion is to consider upgrading the internet connection. It would be a real bonus when visiting with small kids or being able to do some work while away.

Perfect location

We really love the property especially the outdoors.there is plenty to do in outdoor area and inside the living area.Few things which need to be look upon.First one is, there is only one toilet and shower and they both are in same room which makes it hard for large group lime ours.Shower was leaking and the water was coming into the carpet which I think can be fixed.Also they need to supply more dishes in the kitchen as our large group of 8 had to wash and reuse all the time..Buy instead of all these issues, we enjoyed our stay.Would love to come back but in a smaller group.

Beautiful property in tranquil location

We stayed here for a week on a snow trip. The property looks unprepossessing from the outside but inside it is just delightful. Excellent size for 6 people. Major pluses: The location - lots of lovely walks and the river just in your backyard. 30 mins to Mt Buffalo and the snow. Close to Bright and Porepunkah while still feeling rural and relaxed. Super comfy beds and heated blankets :) The mattress in the main bedroom was amazing - we got the best sleep. Very well stocked kitchen and laundry - good for drying wet snowy children's clothes. Shed full of wood for the fire which was lovely. A couple of extra toboggans in the shed which proved useful for parents to borrow! A few things that could be improved: We couldn't get the internet to work. Only one bathroom/toilet for 6 people - needed careful management. The kitchen has a dishwasher but there was no cutlery holder so we hand-washed more than we would normally. Lovely crockery but the plates are large/thick and stack awkwardly in the dishwasher. When it rained we had a tiny roof leak outside the bathroom. However these are really minor things. We honestly had such a great stay here - thanks!

neighbours from hell

Neighbours partied till 3am.all the neighbourhood dogs use the back yard as a toilet and were constantly running around,to the point we stayed indoors.The overall state and cleanliness of the house was pretty good except for the mould smell coming from the bathroom.We had to make sure the door was closed at all times and the window left open.The house is situated in a lovely position but unfortunately our stay was ruined by the above mentioned.

Perfect location with a good set up. The access to the River is fantastic.

The house is fitted out with everything you need. Great fire pit & indoor fire with good wood supply (we did bring some of our own too). Comfortable living area. Comfortable bedrooms. It was like a bush camp on the river but with the comforts of a home. Highly recommend for a small group or couple of families. Only 10 minute drive to Bright & plenty of other attractions.

We enjoyed the books, jenga, a fully stocked kitchen with basic tea and coffee. The backyard opens to a beautiful river where we all jumped in and had a great time. The house was clean and fresh towels and sheet were on everyoneā€™s beds. I would totally recommend this place for someone looking for a quite tranquil time in bright. Itā€™s a short drive to the main area of bright and a walk to Sinclaireā€™s water hole.

Fantastic location and good property

Overall this is a great property and should be considered due to an awesome location and the amenities and overall house is great. However the property was not very well cleaned upon arrival. Also the internet was so poor that I couldn't work... Basic text only... Could not even upload or download an image let alone even try to watch Netflix.
