With a brand-new family room downstairs, it is easier than ever to unwind and enjoy satellite TV and WIFI. Now featuring an all-new pool table room, you can take a few minutes to test your billiard skills. Later just plan to relax in the outdoor hot tub before getting a quiet night’s sleep in comfortable peace and quiet. All the bedrooms at Peaceful Easy Feeling are equipped with ceiling fans and now the main floor and second floor are air conditioned! Reviewer Comments: ONE LATE NIGHT EARLY MORNING WE WAKE UP TO A FLYING SQUIRREL FLYING ALL OVER THE UP STAIRS LOFT AND THE LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN. THIS WENT ON FOR WELL OVER AN HOUR. FINALLY THE LITTLE GUY LANDED IN THE SINK EATING CARROT CAKE OFF OF A SPOON. A BLANKET WAS THROWN OVER THIS LITTLE GUY AND HE WAS RELEASE BACK INTO THE WILD. LOL HE ATTEMPT TO RETURN THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR BUT WAS WARNED IN A LOUD VOICE HE THEN RAN INTO THE WOODS.... HOPEFULLY NOT TO FREEZE THE ONLY REAL ISSUE WAS THE TV IN MASTER BEDROOM THE OFFICE HELPED US GET THAT UNDER CONTROL FOR THE REST OF THE STAY... IF WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE INSTRUCTION IN THE MASTER BEDROOM LIKE IN THE OTHER ROOMS...

The only thing we didn't like is the extremely small shower in the master suite. It would be great to have a spacious walk-in shower like those in the lower level. Other than that, we were well-pleased with the home and enjoyed our stay there. Thank you!

Three refrigerators and two grills were nice to have. My wife like that the hot water seem endless.Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies.

The rental is in a good location and large enough for our family. The home was clean and well equipped. We would have liked to have a dish drain and more dish towels. Last year we bought some dish towels & left them but this year we were back to two towels! The staff at the Best of Canaan rental office were very helpful

Winter Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Another family and friends Winter Vacation in Canaan Valley is in the books. This is the 1st time staying at Peaceful Easy Feeling. It will not be the last. Believe it or not, the name is very fitting. The house is very well appointed. We've been careful before by bringing things from home, such as large pots, pans, and spices. They were not needed this trip. The remodeled lower level is great. The whole house is very nice with updated appliances etc. It is also well kept. Wood burning fireplace was a big hit. Newer TV's were easy to navigate. Looking to book next year already. No regrets!! Thanks

Wonderful house!

This house was wonderful, cozy, and perfect for our large group of 10 + dog. There were enough rooms and bathrooms. Never not had hot water. Could see deer a few feet from the windows all the time. The kitchen was well stocked with all the silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen appliances and cookware. Also, the large fireplace and TV was a perfect living room area to all relax! There were a fewthings we disliked: There was a blizzard while we were there. The roads became icy then snow fell on top. The driveway is not your friend, unless you have 4wd. It was very steep. We had 4wd Jeep, we were still sliding down the driveway and roads. I called the front office to get information salt for the driveway and towing info just in case we needed when we were leaving. She was very rude and sarcastic talking to me like I was stupid and didn’t know how to drive in snow. Communication was not friendly or consistent at times. Including myself, a couple of the other members of our party did not have great experiences with staff members. Also, the people who slept downstairs would wake up with cold like symptoms. The symptoms would go away a couple hours after waking up, but they said they could feel them coming on as they laid in bed.

Best of Canaan is hands down the best! They do everything right, from communicating frequently and clearly to caring about the quality of the rental property and the renter's experience. Highly recommend Best of Canaan.

Beautiful stay

Our time at Peaceful easy feeling was wonderful. The house was in excellent condition upon arrival and well stocked with everything we could need during our stay. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to relax comfortably with many different places to sit and relax together. We loved having access to two different lakes for fishing that were close by.

Best Cabin in Canaan We’ve Ever Rented

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best cabin in Canaan we’ve ever rented. Plenty of room to sleep at least 12 people comfortably (without anyone sleeping on the day bed.) Evrryghing was immaculately clean. The kitchen was recently remodeled and is very well stocked with everything you need to cook meals for a large group. The basement ideas also recently updated and the bathrooms down there are gorgeous. The basement was like a separate apartment for our teenage guests to hang out in and watch TV or play pool. The master bedroom is also gorgeous. Even though the bedrooms upstairs are in the smaller side they are clean and comfortable. The Jack-And-Jill bathroom upstairs is large and laid out nicely to share. It hasn’t been remodeled like the basement, but it is in pristine condition and looks like it’s never been used! If the weather were better we would have spent our evenings outside in the deck. But we had rain and snow, so we spent them by the fire place laughing, talking and listening to music. We would absolutely rent this cabin again.

Peaceful

This was our second stay at Peaceful, Easy Feeling. And it was quiet. The house was large enough for everyone to have their own space. The fireplace and provided firewood were much appreciated. We will be back next year. Thank you!

We had great time at Easy Peaceful Feeling

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this house, and fully enjoyed our stay there. It was a perfect size for 3 families with adult children. It had everything you will ever need for cooking in the kitchen, and plenty of plates, glasses, cups and utensils too. Since it was cold and snow outside, we used the fireplace a lot and there was plenty of firewood provided. We did have a few minor issues like the light fixture in one of the upstairs bedrooms, but wasn’t a big deal overall. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend staying at this house.

We reached out to the staff at Best of Canaan for firewood and they were more than helpful. It arrived in less than an hour! We had a rainy weekend but enjoyed the pool table and games that were provided. We have been meeting in the valley for 25 years every September and this house is one of the very best!!

Family Get to Gather

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second rental of “Peaceful Easy Feelings”. We were very impressed with the completed renovations of the home. The house is perfect all our family members.The house is well maintained and clean without signs of major wear and tear. The kitchen is well equipped, other than the absence of a can opener. The metal end pieces on the main floor are loose and easily become unattached and fall to the floor.There was plenty of dry fire which was used and enjoyed and appreciated. The only critique I would offer is the size of the shower stall located in the main floor master bedroom. It barely accommodates an average size person with little room to maneuver as you like to do in a shower. It is difficult to adjust the water temperature before entering without water splashing out on the bathroom floor. It is such a spacious master bath with a small shower.Secondly both outside grills had not been cleaned in a good while, also rendering the grilling utensils under grill in a condition that were not usable.Overall, the accommodation is excellent and will be our first choice in future trips to Canaan. We would rate it the best yet and we have been coming to Canaan/Timberline for many years.I also must add that the staff at “Best of Canaan” is top-notch. A very friendly and customer focused staff of people. A pleasure to do business with. Sincerely!

Wonderful, Secluded Mountain Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been vacationing in Canaan Valley for 15 years, and this is the nicest home we've stayed at. It is spacious and clean with everything you need and with extra thoughtful touches throughout. The remodeled kitchen is a chef's dream, and the new wood floors on the main level are very nice. The brand new basement is perfect, with large bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms. The master shower was a little cramped, so we used one of the downstairs showers. From the large back deck and brand new hot tub, the only noises you could hear were birds and the wind through the trees. Overall, a great place to stay in a beautiful area.
