Ageless architecture and endless views…welcome to Timeless. This extraordinary property is situated on five acres of pristine lakefront property. Children of all ages will appreciate that the generous yard provides lots of space for outdoor fun in any season. It is a quick walk to Spruce Island Lake and a sure guarantee that wildlife lovers and photography enthusiasts will be overwhelmed with the abundance of nature. Although it might be tough to talk the gang out of the yard, once inside there is ample space for family style feasts and friendly socializing. Timeless offers six private bedrooms divided between the main house and the “carriage house”, perfect for segregating ages or dividing two families. Both houses offer cable TV and gas fireplaces. The main house also features a pool table, Jacuzzi tub and WIFI. Enjoy the convenience of the fully-equipped kitchen and all the comforts of this one of a kind Canaan Valley home.

Timeless is showing some age, needs a few things fixed, new blinds on windows and some deck boards need to be replaced and fresh paint. She a beautiful house! Just needs some love. 2nd Time is a Charm

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Timeless. It was as good as I remembered. The view is fantastic! All 11 of us had a wonderful time and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table and the completely stocked kitchen. The gas fire place was very easy to use and so cozy in the evenings. The short walk down to the lake is delightful and there is now a spa just a few minutes down the road! The spa is fantastic. It's a short drive to Davis and Thomas, two towns that you must take the time to explore. Highly recommend.

In the valley, on the lake with mountain views

The management staff were amazing throughout the process. This house has amazing views, lakefront & hiking and lots of space. We rented as a small family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers). We fished, hiked, had campfires and told silly tall tales. The night sky was amazing and the lightning bugs (aka fireflies) were in the thousands. It was breathtaking.The house has loads of space & the kitchen is well stocked. We had plenty of privacy without feeling isolated.

Beautiful location with mountains, horses and the lake. Some of our family even took advantage of trail running in Dolly Sods. The hot tub was a big hit as well.

Lots of room for multiple families and the kids. Separate quarters to enable loud kids in one house and moderaoloud adults in another. Beautiful surroundings with the wildlife and a hike around the lake. House is somewhat dated and could use some spring cleaning but overall a great vacation spot.

Reviewer Comments: I was skeptical to do this because I have never rented a home for a vacation before, but the experience was the best I have ever had for a vacation. The property was absolutely beautiful and my family enjoyed every bit of it. The views from the living room were spectacular! You could see the ski slopes of Timberline. The deer wondered around the property. I had been to Canaan multiple times during the summer when I was younger, but never experienced it as an adult. Overall, the BEST vacation ever!

The views are endless here ,we love to hike and fish and just paddle around the lake plus so close to 2 state parks you should not be bored. Loved the addition of the basketball hoop ! We also like to take the grandkids bike riding and the house and area are perfect for that. The pots and pans could use some updating and a king size bed upstairs would be a plus. The staff is always very helpful with any need we have.

Great view, wonderful neighborhood

Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay at timeless. We loved the view of the mountain. Easy access to Dolly Sods in the community. Abundance of animals, Bald eagles, coyote, owls, deer, fox and much more. Lots of trails to hike and bike in the area. Many great waterfalls to see. The house needs some upkeep. The kitchen had an abundance of ants where the wall was a little rotted behind the sink. The 2 twin mattresses are totally shot, and the bunks were not too good. Some of the window blinds are beat up. Both of the houses have a great layout. We would return for another vacation at Timeless. The house just needs a little TLC.

Less windy than the cabins we usually stay in up the mountain but still has access to Dolly Sods. With two houses in this rental, we could put all our kids(ages14-20) in one house and the adults could stay in the big house.It could have been a little cleaner but it wasn’t problematic for us(just plastic water bottles and trash under my bed and couch from the previous tenants and some dust bunnies)Best of Canaan is always very helpful and friendly. We would love to return to this property either to hike again or XC ski.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our favorite place to stay when we do Leaf Peepers weekend. A great place for the kids to play and enough beds for everyone. Nice to see upgrades in the kitchen. The carriage house needs some TLC. Bunk beds need replaced. Don’t feel save having kids sleep in them. Heater in bathroom didn’t work and toilets needed repaired. Minor things but critical.

Great place for large group

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I travel to Canaan Valley to stay in Timberline every October, this year we also talked our friend group of 12 to come down for our annual “Friendsgiving” trip. The house was amazing and fit each couple perfectly. We loved the open concept of the living area as we were all able to be together while we were preparing the meal. The view was spectacular, my husband and I have stayed at the top of the mountain, in many different rentals throughout Old Timberline and I have to say this house is our new favorite. It snowed most of the day our first full day down and seeing the view of the snow covered mountain made our holiday trip so cozy and comforting. We enjoyed our stay very very much.

"Timeless" famiy reunion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at "Timeless" for our family reunion! We could not have found a better location and rental organization with "Best of Canaan". The ladies at the office were helpful and responsive to our situation and needs, and quick to respond to our questions and urgencies (like promptly having a replacement propane tank when the first one ran out). We are already considering the same unit for next year. We hiked the Dolly Sods with our two-year old in the kiddy back pack, fished in the lake, and visited our family's homesteads. A great time was had by all.

Family and Friends Fall Vacay 2023

The owner has made some updates to some of the furniture and it was nice to be able to sit around the fireplace with family and friends and relax. You cannot get a better view off the deck and there were plenty of deer that came to visit every day. Did plenty of hiking and exploring up at Dolly Sods and over North Fork Mountain and ate at several great places in the area. Sirianni's, Mama Mia's, and Canaan Lodge were wonderful. Property was clean and well-maintained and suited our needs well. The staff at Best of Canaan are truly the BEST! We love to see their smiling faces every time we are there and consider all of you our extended family!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite hurricane Helene’s presence, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As always, love the location and mountainside views. More color this year. Glad to see new washer and dryer, and some updates (kitchen backsplash, bathroom in cottage partially updated, new bunks, new towels). Would love to see new mattresses in several BR......lower BRs in main house, for example. Occasional chairs in LR are very uncomfortable but .......It’s not enough to stop us from coming back! Until next year!PS: Best of Canaan was very prompt to address issues re: doors, locks and replacing propane tanks for grill. Thank you!
