We do NOT allow monthly rentals during the summer season, which includes: June, July, and August. For those wishing to stay longer than a week please inquire first and we can provide more information for you.

Sixth house from the beach and we have private parking!! Our bungalows are so close to the beach that at night you will fall asleep listening to the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Brighton Beach Bungalows are private and peaceful yet, only 100 feet to the sand and sea. The beach here is awesome! It is a broad, beautiful, clean, sandy beach, which offers rest and relaxation or fun in the sun. You can have it all at our Brighton Beach Bungalows.

Our bungalows have all the comforts of home, overstuffed sleepers sofas, queen sized pillow-top stress-o-pedic beds dressed in luxury linens and down. The kitchens feature all the essentials to inspire the chef in you. Whirlpool tubs are so relaxing at the end of the day after enjoying your fun in the sun at the beach. The outdoor barbeque and fenced courtyard is the perfect spot to gather and enjoy the evening sea breeze or morning coffee. Energizing your spirit and soothing your soul is our goal at Brighton Beach Bungalows.

The town of Ocean Beach was laid out and named in 1888. It is the ultimate beach town and offers visitors many fine ways to spend the day. Swimming, surfing, body surfing, tanning, kite flying, tide pools, fishing, sailing, water-skiing, jet skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, bonfires, star gazing and sunset watching are a few activities Ocean Beach has to offer. Our claim to fame is the fishing pier just a couple of blocks to the south. At 1,971 feet, the Ocean Beach Pier is supposed to be the longest concrete pier in the world. It has a T-shape at the end extending 360 feet to the south and 193 feet to the north end. The south end extends into the Point Loma kelp beds and has a view of the tide pools and Sunset cliffs. A perfect spot to watch sea life or the sun fade into the ocean.

Every Wednesday evening, in town, we have a Farmers Market with live music. Ocean Beach has many great restaurants, coffeehouses and lots of local shopping. The San Diego airport is only five miles away and airport transportation can be arranged. Sit back and rest your mind, your body and your soul at Brighton Beach Bungalows.

If you still need more to explore, there is all the sight and sounds of San Diego the finest city in Southern California. We have the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Legoland, Padres, Chargers, Gas Lamp District, Museums, Balboa Park, and the Point Loma Lighthouse to get you started. A car is needed if you want to visit these locations. If you do bring a car, do not worry about parking because we have garages for you to use at the Brighton Beach Bungalows.

Location, Location, Location

Nice little place, If you're someone looking for a little beach time in OB, then this is right up your alley. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach!! From here you're only 5/6 blocks from Newport Ave and less than that for some good restaurants(OB Noodle House). I do have to say Thank You to Laurie!! The last couple of days on our trip it was unseasonably hot in San Diego and she was kind enough to drop off an extra fan!! Not sure how many owners would have done that!! Look forward to staying there again

Location can’t be beat!

We stay here every year to be able to walk to the beach and to town. You’ll always be in the flight pattern in OB. This house has all you need for the short 1 block walk to listen to the waves, towels, umbrella and chairs. Short walk to get BBQ or to the OB Noodle House or to get some cocktails or a great breakfast at Breakfast Republic. Or, just stay in and cook!

Great bungalow and perfect location

This was a great place to stay for myself, husband and 9 yr old. Excellent location to quickly go to the beach(with public bathrooms), good walking distance to shops and restaurants. 15 minutes to get to Seaworld , 20-25 minutes to Gaslamp quarter or SeaPort Village and a little less than an hour to Legoland. Nice outdoor patio. It’s a connected bungalow, so you could rent both for two families to stay. Garage was great since parking in OB is hard to find, my Camry fit it, but nothing bigger would. We will definitely stay here again. Only con of the location is plane noise first thing in the mornings (if you sit out side in the mornings like we always did), but it only lasts about an hour or so.

Sweet spot by the beach

AM & PM walks on beach were delightful. OB is a friendly, walkable community. Coffee shops, People’s Outpost, restaurants, yoga all an easy walk. Kitchen setup / supplied so cooking meals is easy.

Family get-together

We met up with other family members who were visiting in San Diego and booked this unit because it was nearby where they were. We really enjoyed the neighborhood and the close proximity to everything. We walked a lot and always felt safe and there are tons of good restaurants within walking distance. The outdoor space at the unit is amazing and it is within steps of the beach. It also has a garage which is a huge plus

Location x3, needs some updates for sure

I’m not going to be the person complaining that my beach rental looked a little sun bleached, but this place def had some wear and tear, and is ready for another coat of paint. The location is fabulous- halfway between Newport (bars/shopping/food) and “dog” (the dog beach) in a very walkable community. The house had many beach accessories and amenities, alongside a gorgeous, lush yard. My concerns are over the front gate, which we were given a code for, but it is actually a cheap (kind of broken) plastic door. The lock on the door was electrical taped open, so it only needed to be pushed to open, which kind of took away the security purpose of the fence having a code. Also, the code for the actual entrance to our unit could be very easily be guessed, and the door off the kitchen didn’t lock/unlock that well, if at all. There were also some beach towels missing from the linen cabinet, but that’s a nitpick for sure. If you’re complaining about airplane noise, you probably have never been to San Diego, and the airport has an 11:30 pm curfew so it’s really nothing to freak out over. Aside from the security concerns with the gate/doors, my cousin and I had a great time at BBB and would honestly stay here again.

I enjoyed the proximity on the beach and the relaxing property, but there was one thing I could do without. It was difficult to get a good nights rest as the airport is just a few miles away and the house is in a direct flight path. Even though it’s been mentioned before, it should be noted that if you’re a light sleeper it would be very difficult to get a good nights rest.

Pro's and Con's

The Pros are it is a great location. Close to the beach. We really enjoyed watching the volley ball players and a short walk to dog beach. It is always lovely watching the dogs run free on the beach and in the water but beware of the poop around town. The unit itself met all of our needs. Bedroom is very tight but my husband is a bigger guy. It had a great backyard where we were able to. sit around the fire at night. All resturant's and entertainment are within walking distance. It comes with a garage which is always a plus at the beach. Now with the con's..........You are right under the flight path so the 6:30am flights are your wake up call. There are QUITE a few homeless everywhere. We were never bothered but did not expect it.. . The first day the stopper in the tub was broken. My husband went and. replaced it. We had a SERIOUS issue with the water heater leaking with left us with NO hot water for 3 days. Owner came out to look at. it but that was it. It would have been nice to at least been offered some form of compensation or a bottle of wine for the MAJOR inconvenience it caused us, Customer. Service always helps.

Beautiful Beach Bungalow!

We wanted to visit our daughter who lives in OB. She is in a small apartment and did not want to put her out, so we looked for a small place. We found Laurie and Ian’s place and booked immediately!!! It was perfect!!! Very short walk to the beach, to an awesome coffee shop and to our daughter - absolutely perfect!!! We were in the go quite a bit, but did take the time to have a nice dinner out in the back yard that is tree covered and an oasis in an oasis!!!!! We will return!!!!!!

Great Getaway!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Brighton Beach Bungalows. It was cozy, private and secure, well stocked and had everything we needed for the beach. It's location is literally only steps to the beach but be aware, it is directly in the flight path of the airport. If you're at the beach and listening to the waves, you'll hardly notice it. LOL.

Great location, communication, & overall vacation!

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend and had a great experience top-to-bottom! Laurie was very easy to get in touch with and really helpful (and patient with us when we had an issue with check-in). The location is a five minute walk from a vibrant neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants, and bars, and is less than a block from the beach. Having a garage spot was particularly helpful - parking in this area is tough, so it was great to not have to worry about that. The place itself was very comfortable (great shower, plenty of space, outdoor seating) and we got a big kick out of the available VHS collection, enjoying a movie night in! Grateful for an easy and all around delightful stay.

Great Location!!!

This was a great location to be- just a few steps from the beach. The host was awesome and the unit very clean. It is a bit tight and I think having 4 adults would have been just too much. The unit also shares a bedroom and bathroom wall with the other unit on the property- sound travels so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs in case the neighbors are loud people like ours were:) Overall great experience!

I have always wanted a house at the beach. Ocean Beach is such a mellow community and the weather is about as good as it gets '360' days a year. For many years we traveled back to the Midwest for a family vacation and we stayed at cabins a couple of blocks away from Lake Michigan. We loved our visits there and wanted to make our vacation rentals have the same safe, clean, comfortable feeling.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The best benefit of our bungalows is our location only 100 feet to the beach. We have private parking for our guests, so finding a place to park is easy. Once you park use many local bike rentals for a ride to town or check out the bike path. All the beach gear is provided backpack beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, coolers, shovel and pail. There is a beautiful patio and garden area that is very private and expands your living space. Here in California we BBq year round and there is a gas grill ready to fire up. Inside the bungalows we have games,cards, movies and free wifi internet. Everything is here for you. All you need to bring is your clothes.
