Great location for Fall colors

We enjoyed our stay very much and loved the central location between Stowe and the White Mts. Close access to the Lamoille rail trail and Groton State Forest was nice. The cabin was quite comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The extensive supply of spices was impressive. We would certainly stay again.

The listing photos are outdated and our clothes and luggage were filled with cigarette smoke. We had to leave early and find new accommodations with a washer and dryer to right this one night stay.

We loved the cabin. It was extremely clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. Sheila is a great host and she’s thought of everything. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ, eating on the balcony every evening, and watching hundreds of birds right in front of us. We loved it here. We’ll definitely go back.

The cabin was lovely and Sheila is very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend this cabin for people looking to visit the Northeast Kingdom.

To be clear, the reason for such a poor rating is because of the lack of customer service. Wife and I booked this because we were cycling on the Lamoille Rail Trail and this was near. The cabin was pretty much as advertised. Cleanliness was okay. Lots of cobwebs. The problem occurred 30 minutes before check in when I received a call notifying me that the boiler was broken and needed to be replaced. This was autumn in VT. Temps drop in evening. I was assured there would be multiple space heaters to keep the place warm. When I arrived roughly 45 minutes later there was one space heater left for us. Also, the dishwasher was not anchored to the wall and had standing water in it. Our contact person was unreachable because of the following reasons: We had no phone signal, the WiFi was incredibly spotty, and our host’s phone number would not allow texting. Seems like a real issue if you are hosting a Vrbo property. I did try to message through the Vrbo app but received responses from three different customer service people connected to Evolve. They told me that I should contact the local host (which I couldn’t) and that they would contact her for me. We never heard from her and she never stopped by the property. Being in the middle of nowhere VT a on our bikes we were stuck. Now, we understand that boilers breaking happens. The issue here is that no one really tried to make the situation better or offered us a discounted rate for the lack of heat. If you can avoid this place do so.

I’m so sorry for all the inconveniences during your stay. I didn’t have reliable phone service and wasn’t able to receive your texts. I understand how frustrating that was, and I’ll work on finding a better way to stay reachable for future guests.

Vermont stay

It was a lovely home to relax in during the evenings. It was a cozy space with plenty of blankets to cuddle up with. We didn't get much time outside due to the weather but appreciated the area. Close enough to drive to town but removed enough to feel undisturbed.

Really enjoyed my stay in West Danville at a beautiful cabin with a nice open kitchen and dining area. Loved the large deck and the peaceful location for a few days around the July 4th holiday. At night, the porch was great for stargazing and it was amazing to see lots of fire flies.Easy check in/out and had everything I needed for a carefree stay.

Enjoyable stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was convenient and the property was very nicely done and kept up. We appreciated all the amenities provided from toiletries to puzzles for our daughter. It was great that it was dog friendly as well. We would definitely stay again!

Cozy Relaxing Retreat

It was a perfect setting for our electronics-free family retreat on our way back from Montreal hockey tournaments. Very easy check-in and very comfortable accommodations - just as described.

Comfortable Winter Cabin

It is great that they allow dogs. Convenient location for what we wanted to do in the area. Puzzles and games.

Great host personality. Smell of layers of baked on bacon grease in the oven was always noticeable. Otherwise clean. In a very cold, snowy December, the programmed radiant heat could not keep up. A shovel was available for us. When we contacted host, she always was apologetic.

So clean and cozy!

We had a wonderful extended weekend stay while we were up in the area for our annual family reunion! The cabin was so clean and cozy, and our dog was even quite comfortable staying in a strange place! Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it! We will definitely revisit in the future and have already recommended the cabin to other family members!

Perfect stay

This beautiful house was perfect for our stay. A great centralized location to Stowe, Waterbury, Burlington, Montpelier and other small towns. Shiela was great and answered any questions we had. The house was extremely clean. We will book again!!!
