We had a great stay, this was perfect for our group with plenty of room to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. We loved all of the group spaces and amenities offered to make sure everyone was comfortable. Multiple people plan on booking again for family trips as well. Excellent communication from our host was appreciated!

We loved our stay and have already booked for our trip next year. There were a few problems but the property owner was quick to respond. We cannot wait to come back!!

Excellent stay!

We loved our stay! The games downstairs kept the kids busy and we adults loved them too. We cooked great meals, enjoyed the view, and slept so good in the comfy beds. We will be back!

Cabin giving family get away

Everyone enjoyed their getaway to the mountains (first time for some) we all had a wonderful time making new memories, we spent a day in downtown Ellijay visiting all the shops and trying some wine. Our host was amazing and very helpful with ideas and recommendations which was very much appreciated

This is a great cabin with much room for multiple couples. The cabin is well stocked and comfortable. If you are looking for a getaway for a group and not wanting to do many excursions, this is perfect. However, even the pool is a drive.The owner was very helpful and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues, but he resolved them quickly. I felt he was a very gracious host.My hesitation to renting again is the check out requirements. First, the instructions on vrbo were different than what was posted at the cabin. Second, if I am paying 325 for a cleaning fee I do not expect to be asked to strip beds, start laundry, and haul the garbage to a dumpster almost five miles away! I have rented many times and found this to be excessive. Again, the host was great and the cabin was very comfortable and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the vacation ended with excessive cleaning obligations which tainted the overall experience.

Fantastic property for our long weekend family get away!!! The drive up to the house at night is a bit scary if youve never driven in the mountain roads Thankfully we have tons of experience in that!The neighborhood is beautiful and so privately secluded! The view would have been much better had some of the trees been trimmed back like the other newer properties on the road. However it was still a beautiful view for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Although we were there in the dead of summer beginning of August for us Floridians the weather was beautiful!!! Rainy here and there but so cool and refreshing all day!! The kids loved the game rooms (especially the 13 yr old loved the video game room!) The hot tub was perfect and the community pools were amazing to take a sip and cool off!!!Downtown Cartersville is fantastic also such a sweet small town vibe focused around the old train station and park!!! I think we all bought one thing from each boutique or bakery or restaurant in town it was absolutely perfect make sure you walk all the side streets!!! We definitely will be back hopefully numerous times as our daughter has moved to Cartersville we now have a place to visit! A huge thank you to Christian for helping us all weekend via text he was amazing!!! He even gave us some great tips for the little local ice cream shop in Fairmount!

Family Wedding Weekend

The Owls Nest was the perfect place for our family. Some flew in to Atlanta and some drove in from South Carolina. Ranger was the perfect mid point for meeting up with our Auburn family as well! The house was the perfect size for many adult children and the older generation parents. The hot tub, game room and beautiful view kept everyone happy! The open kitchen and king room was perfect for family food prep. We hope to return for more family reunions.

Perfect Location For Family Getaway

Cabin was really great for our mixed group. Was nice to have plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Having an elderly parent with a main floor bedroom and walk-in shower was the icing on the cake! Location was great although you definitely want to be in when it gets dark. Beautiful morning sunrise view was nice as well. Owner is really nice to deal with. Had some minor things come up and she responded really quickly. If you want s nice quiet place close to orchards, wineries, and parks, this is the place!

Private cabin, lots of private space

This cabin, like most, is up a winding road mountain with a steep driveway but has hood curb appeal & an easy check on procedure. The pond/stream is a drive away, and that is where we saw deer. The water heater & heat/ac was a bit unregulated for our group, and sharing a couch & tv was laborious. The beds were comfortable & our basic needs were definitely met. The owner was prompt & clear about everything we needed to know & checking out was a breeze.

The owls nest cabin in Ranger, GA

I cannot say enough good things about the owners, and how they accommodated our group. The cabin is quiet and clean and lots of open space. It was perfect for our basketball team, and beyond. I actually left my phone behind and they immediately responded and sent the phone back to me in Texas. If we ever head that direction again, we will definitely be staying there!!! Tons of baby deer and a few raccoons made us feel like we’re really in the wilderness. The jacuzzi tub and basement play/sleep are was perfect for our boys and everyone left happy. It was perfect 👍☺️

Beautiful weekend in the mountains

5 of us stayed here for a girls weekend away from the city. The views were stunning, the house was emmacculate, and we all enjoyed having our own large beds and almost all of our own bathrooms. It was well stocked with dishes and gadgets. We didn't quite realize from the listing how many twists and turns and hills were involved to get to the house once we entered the sub. In winter months you would probably need 4x4 vehicles. Not a huge problem, but it did make us hesitant to venture out. Fortunately we brought more than enough food and drinks to stay busy. Knowing this all now, we'd stay here again on a weekend where we're just looking to stay put.

We had a wonderful time visiting this beautiful home. We had two elderly parents and our three teenagers with us and the home was perfectly suited for everyones needs. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the game room downstairs, The adults enjoyed coffee each morning on the deck with an awesome view of the mountains. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating. The owner was a great communicator and very quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. If we are ever back in the area we would stay again!
