The condo was very nice and in a great location with alot of amenities in a gated community. The screened in patio was wonderful. Our week here was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our time and will likely return. The reason for four stars instead of five, were due to the linens, towels, pillows and rugs. All needed to be replaced. It's likely the end of a busy season and lots of use... But that was a bad start for us. Everything else went smoothly.

Always “knew of” Harbor Island, however this was a perfect beach getaway for my wife and I and our pup! Harbor Island is a hidden gem. The condo could not have been more perfect. Exactly as described. There was nothing more we could have asked for in this unit. I was a little worried about the location and beach access beforehand however the boardwalks make it seem effortless. The pools (one right off the porch) were perfect. The beach was perfect for walks and Remy loved them. The dog park was a great spot as well and very well maintained. The elevator was wonderful. Gorgeous sunrise off the porch and sunsets were amazing out the front of the building overlooking the bridge which explains the chairs on the front walkways. Again, the condo was perfect and we will definitely be back.

The property was very clean and pet friendly. We loved the screened balcony with ocean views and so did our dog. We climbed a lot of stairs and counted it as part of our daily workout. They do have an elevator but you first need to walk up about eight steps to get to it and there is no ramp. This is our third year at Harbor Island. Once again we had a fabulous time and would definitely stay in this resort again.

Amazing View!

The condo was in an awesome location with a beautiful view! It was very clean and had everything we needed! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great vacation!

Unit was just as listed, clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the covered porch on the days it rained and in the evenings. View is great. Will definitely be back!

Perfect get away

The property is nice everything you need is there. Could have been a bit more tidy the air vent for the AC was really dusty. Nice comfy bed!! Enjoyed my stay would rent again.

Weekend getaway

My long weekend was just what I needed. It was very peaceful and relaxing. I loved sitting on the screen porch and listening to the ocean.

Just Breathe

This was our first trip to Harbor Island…. It’s did not disappoint. If you are looking for a place that you and your family can relax, just rest, and enjoy each others company you have found a paradise spot with Harbor Island. Afternoon sunsets are the best!!!!!

Perfection

This unit was fantastic! It was well stocked with nearly everything from linen to kitchen supplies. I hope to get this same unit again in the future!

October beach trip

We were pleased with the unit. Love the small porch, up high for the views. Very clean. One complaint: terrible and small mattress. Felt like a large piece of foam and believe it was a double not even queen.

Very clean!

Our family of four and one dog stayed in this condo for one week. We had other family also staying in another location on the island. We spent most of our time on the beach fishing. The condo was very clean. There are poop bags provided around the property to clean up after your pet. In our communication with property management, they were very accommodating and available to answer our questions. We would highly highly recommend this property.

great location

the only negatives are that the owner needs to put window darkening drapes in the bedroom . The light from the outside staircase is very bright. The other is the patio's view is severely curtailed by the wood beam. This is a safety measure but extremely annoying because your view of the ocean is partially blocked .We will rebook but not in that particular building.

Thank you for your review. Every single property on the island will have a railing at about waist height if there is a deck or a patio. This is a safety measure and required by codes. I don't think you can find a single place on Harbor that doesn't have a railing on an elevated deck. Thank you for your input on the curtains in the bedroom, although with both a set of blinds and curtains I am surprised it was so bright! It may be worth traveling with a sleep mask in the future but we so appreciate your feedback!

Beautiful location harbor island

My husband and I thought this condo’s views were amazing!! Besutiful!! It was also very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Comfortable living area 2 recliners.The only suggestion would be to replace the mattress in bedroom. It had a strange and uncomfortable “ plastic liner” on it. Also I woukd definitely remove the very heavy and large dresser as it made the room very cramped and tight. Those are the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars

Hi Katie, Thank you for your review. We are so happy you enjoyed the condo and the views. The mattress is pretty new, so maybe there was pacakaging left on it. We will certainly take care of that, thank you. The dresser does make the room a bit tight, but we want folks to have a place to put their clothes. Something for the owners to look into. Beautiful condo in quaint setting

Beautiful clean condo in quaint setting. Excellent communication with mgmt! Loved that they included pass to nearby state park. The nearby beach had unique tides, very low at times but lovely. Loved that we could also take advantage of beaches at state park. Convenient having washing machine/dryer just 2 doors down. Bed was very soft not our favorite. Elevator went out midway thru stay but only mild inconvenience. However if disabled there is a landing or set of stairs that have to be climbed to get to elevator, so may not be best option if this is the case. Overall one of best Condos ever stayed in!

Property needs updates

The condo unit could use some updates with new furnishing. We used the fold out sofa and it needed cleaning. It would have also been nice to have higher seating on balcony to enjoy the view. Also fan on bacony does not work. We had four people in our group and could have used more towels and washcloths. Also, only one washing machine was working and the elevator was hit and miss.

We would have been happy to address anything we could have during your 3 day stay. We did not hear from you at all. We can't of course buy new furniture, but we would have been more than happy to clean the sleeper sofa and bring towels. The fan on the porch does work and just needs to be plugged in. The laundry room and elevator are the responsibility of the regime management. Had we know anything was broken we would have called them to repair them. Some communication would have resolved most of your issues.

Pleasant Summer Vacation

The property was nice. The Property manager was so kind and even left us a welcome gift for our 25th anniversary. I was hoping for a more rural vacation w/ less families, but there were more than expected and so the pool was crowded, and it was too loud to sit outside to enjoy the balcony. People did not follow the 9PM pool rule. Otherwise, other than the elevator being out for most of the week and lugging things up 3 flights it was nice. We did not love the area, so we probably won't come back, but it is not the property's fault or the management group.

The property was exactly what we needed, no more, no less. The proximity to the beaches without the hustle and bustle of Hilton Head was fantastic. Onsite parking was available and no fuss to obtain after checking in at the gatehouse on arrival.For anyone planning on staying more than a few days, you might consider bringing a broom or small vacuum with you. There was no utility closet with either a vacuum or broom, and you’ll want one or the other for the sand you tend to bring in.Give some thought to bringing a beach wagon with you — especially if you’re planning on spending a day on the beach. Be prepared to walk a few flights of stairs — this unit is on the third floor of the building, and while there is an elevator available, it’s out of the way from where the unit is located. There were also multiple vehicles parked in front of the portion of the building closest to the elevator, making loading and unloading a bit tedious: Aside from those minor nitpicks, the condo was cozy, had a wonderful view of the beach and onsite pool, and offered easy access to several miles of walkable beach. Would absolutely recommend.

There should be a broom located in the closet with the air handler, so we’ll be sure to check and make sure it is there and easily accessible for future guests. We’re also sorry you felt the elevator was out of the way. It is located two doors down from the condo, but we understand that it may not have been as convenient to where you were able to park.
