This place is a 'must stay'. Beautiful in every way. Located on Byron Bays' most scenic escarpment, Eastern Rise sits hillside due east, to take in the amazing valley views - Cape Byron & its legendary lighthouse & divine ocean.
Nestled amongst nature, this unique place has a style of its own. Our holiday home lets guests feel cocooned and far removed from the fast paced world, allowing you to re connect with 'simple living'.

This beautiful home is built from a blend of modern and reclaimed materials. Artisan wooden furniture lies throughout, with every piece carefully crafted.
The open plan living design and timber deck showcase indoor-outdoor living at it's best. Its light and cool throughout, surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

3 SPACIOUS BEDROOMS...
All with block out curtains/blinds, AC & ceiling fans.

Large Queen bedroom downstairs, with access on to the outside verandah. It’s also opposite the downstairs shower room.

Upstairs...
Queen bedroom with ample storage and a family bedroom with handcrafted bunk beds and a separate queen bed.
Family bathroom with bath, shower and separate toilet

It sleeps 8 people very comfortably with lovely linen and high end mattresses, guaranteeing you a goodnight's sleep.

A travel cot is available on request and will fit in any of the 3 bedrooms for an infant.

OUTSIDE AREA....

Dine inside or out! With sliding doors onto the spacious verandah, you can enjoy a glass of wine or a meal at the large dining table or on comfy sofas.
Relax around the fire pit whilst star gazing.

Ideally suited to families and groups of friends looking to explore the Byron Shire.

All linen, towels and eco toiletries provided. Mid-stay cleans are available during your stay if required.

Other things to note
Please note that our beautiful place is located just off Coolamon Scenic drive (set back and down some steps) a road that connects the hinterland and its villages. As a result there is some traffic noise during the day, especially early morning.
Parking can be found on the gravel driveway but it is recommended you have a 4WD for this as in rain it can become mushy. It is not a 'must' by any means though. Otherwise you can park at the top of the driveway.
There is a tenanted studio that also shares the driveway.

Total nightmare!!

1st prob door jamned took 15mins to get in??? 2nd prob nearly broke suspension on our sedan because of huge humps on entry into property Dishwasher broken, couldnt evencturn it on my husband knew what the problem was but we werent going to go to bunnings to get parts for a dishwasher??? Nothing to re heat food quickly no microwave Lights on verandah dont work BBQ rusty & filthy a big problem when the oven doesnt work either!!! Filth everywhere. The windows the screens were caked with filth and dust including in the bathroom. What is Ironic is that we were charged a huge cleaning fee & so we were expecting a pristine clean place but no, one frypan had food stuck to the bottom of it, the BBQ was rusted and wasnt cleaned at all & unusable the bathroom didnt feel clean because when you showered you saw filthy windows. So after that you go to bed only to see filthy windows & screens again and you shutthe disgusting dusty curtains & there were cockroaches roaming freely in the kitchen. Absolutely disgusting! No air conditioning in the most common area, the lounge room? Like What on earth 🌎 Two very hot days couldnt even stay home no air con had to use the air conditioning in our car and go somewhere air conditioned? Take the risk driving out of the property because the owner refuses to fix the driveway and you can literally smash your car trying to get in & out. Total & complete stress to say the least. If it wasnt for the views I would give this place a zero.

Wonderful stay

We have been coming to Eastern Rise for some years. When it sold we were devastated. So glad it’s back on for short stays. It’s a great place for the price. The local Wildlife, sounds of birds, morning winter sun flooding the house and the intimate and house full of rustic features is a must try!

Wonderful property! We loved the view and the property itself. A warm and welcome place to truly relax. The challenge of the driveway was a bit stressful - recommend only parking by the front door.

Hi, I am Jenny! Myself and my young family made the Byron shire our home in January 2020, after emigrating from the UK and we LOVE it. Living locally means I can be a 'hands on' host if needed and can offer lots of great tips for exploring the local area. We love to travel and love the great outdoors, especially the Ocean. Our love for the sea has taken us all over the world as Scuba diving Instructors and we are so blessed to have had those experiences. I love to go for long runs, do Yoga with my friends and am currently learning to surf along with my 3 children! I have over 5 years of experience in property management and hosting, and just recently set up my own hosting business in the area - Ocean Vibes Property Management. My Partner is the local handyman and plumber and so he is on hand if any issues arise during your stay. We are committed to offering a fabulous stress-free stay to all our guests, allowing you to kick back, relax and enjoy this beautiful part of our amazing planet!
