FICUS apartment : panoramic, bright and comfortable. It has wonderful views on a gorgeous countryside and Montalcino area. The access to this comfortable three-room apartment of 56 square metres is via an ancient marble staircase. It has an efficient, separate cooking corner, a living room, TWO bedrooms( 2 indivisible double beds) and a large, sunny bathroom.The views from this flat are breathtaking.

The farmhouse PODERE CUNINA is a farm-holiday location within this system of architectural and landscape recovery that fully respects its environment. Traditional materials typical of the area, sourced via accurate and detailed research, were used for the renovation. Located inside a large nature reserve, with many small and medium-sized woodland animals, it offers 7 finely-renovated flats to tourists, with views of Montalcino, Mount Amiata and the hills of Buonconvento and Siena. It is equipped throughout with quality, antique furniture, fitted with all modern comforts, with maximum level certification regarding safety and energy saving (underfloor heating via geothermal system, thermal insulation, pool).
The location of the agriturismo is perfect. Minutes from charming Buonconvento, and less than 30 minutes from multiple other beautiful Tuscan hilltop towns like Montalcino(which can be seen from the house),Siena Pienza, Montepulciano, S.QuiricoThis makes relaxing day trips possible and still allows time to return to enjoy Podere Cunina. The grounds are well landscaped with natural herbs everywhere, which were used in the cooking class.
We live in the Crete Senesi and the Val d'Orcia lans, just South of Siena. They are the best typical tuscan landscapes! (world heritage under the protection of UNESCO with the Val d’Orcia)

This area of Tuscany is intensely beautiful and within easy reach of many of the most significant cultural sites in Italy ( Siena is 30 minutes away, Florence 100 minutes, Assisi 2 hours, Rome: two and half, Pisa 2 h, the wonderful Maremma sea one and half). It’s very close to some of the major wine centers of Italy and, indeed, the world. Montalcino is on our doorstep and MOntepulciano less than an hour’s journey. The area offers great opportunities for walking, riding, or cycling through spectacular, rolling countryside.

A room with a view!

Amazing location in Tuscany

Honestly words cannot describe how magical this place is. The views are epic, the rooms are clean and well decorated, and the entire grounds smell amazing thanks to the abundance of flowers, trees, and fresh herbs growing everywhere. We were there for 3 nights but wish it had been longer!

Relaxing stay in this beautiful Tuscan farmhouse

My wife and I and our teenaged children had a great time in this beautiful Tuscan farmhouse. Beautiful scenery surrounds you, and the pool and air conditioning were great during the hot Tuscan summer. Easy drives to many of the popular Tuscan towns. Kitchen is well equipped and a grocery store is nearby for relaxing meals in the apartment. We highly recommend this property!!!!

Magical stay at the best agriturismo

We can’t say enough about how much our family loved our week at Podere Cunina. The hosts, the propery, the pool, the possible opportunities (wine tasting, cooking class) all made our experience the best ever. We didn’t want to leave! We all hope to return in the future. It’s a most wonderful property in a perfect location within Tuscany.

Perfection!!

We had the experience of a lifetime! The home/apartment and property were absolutely perfect. Every view is just beautiful. The pool was clean and refreshing. The cooking class offered is a must if you have the time. We hope to be back one day and see your family again. Thank you!

Wonderful stay

We were four adults (two couples in our 50’s) staying in the Ficus apartment. We sat by the pool but it was too chilly for a swim. Everything was very good: the hospitality, the views, the directions. We took the wine tour option and loved it. We bought a 1.3 kg steak and cooked it on the grill-fireplace on a fire we built ourselves from the provided wood. Heaven! Our very basic rental car struggled up the gravel driveway but we did make it! We would return.

Tuscan farmhouse hideaway

This property is an amazingly restored labor of love for the host and her husband and son. It has stunning 360degree views that reach for miles! Located centrally to many southern Tuscan towns, it’s an easy drive to Siena, Montepulciano and very close to Montalcino. This is an historic farmhouse that was impeccably restored. The grounds are gorgeous with a large swimming pool and the property is well off the main road so it’s very quiet as well. I would highly recommend this property and would love to return in the future! Thank you, Silvana, for a wonderful stay! David and Michelle

Picturesque

Our recent experience at Podere Cunina was exceptional! We brought our son and daughter in law to Italy, and all of us were very pleased with this agriturismo. We spent two nights there, and upon arriving, wished we had booked a whole week. The suite was very roomy and decorated very nicely, creating a warm, and comfortable setting. We enjoyed a bottle of wine amongst herbs and flowers growing all around the private patio table, just a few steps from our suite. The view was totally what one would consider “Tuscan”, just beautiful ! We also booked a wine tour with Marcello, which we all agreed was a highlight of our stay in Italy. Marcello provided a wealth of information about the local Tuscan wines. He was as personable as he was knowledgeable. We spent an outstanding 2 days there, and we agree we will try to return in the future, and use Podere Cunina as a “home base” for more adventures in Tuscany.

Amazing piece of heaven in the heart of Tuscany!

We have visited Tuscany a dozen times over the years, but this visit was our favorite. We could not have been happier with our hosts, the amenities, and the views were world class. We are a family of two adults and two children. There was plenty of room for our family. We now have a home away from home In Tuscany.

Magical & Heavenly.

The Freddi family has created a little slice of heaven on this earth. They’ve renovated the farmhouse with such love and care and created an authentic and beautiful Tuscany home to share with their guests. By far, one of the most stunning places I’ve ever had the good fortune to stay. We took the cooking lesson with Marcelo and then ate dinner with the Freddi family, which was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Italy. You will walk away relaxed and happy

Breath taking

Charming beautiful farmhouse!

We enjoyed a perfect stay and loved the family cooking class with Marcello - it was perfect for our 11 & 13 year olds! We also really loved the wine tour Marcello took us on the following day! Awesome stay - we will be back!

Words Can't Describe The Views!

My mother and I had a fabulous 3 night stay at Podere Cunina in the 2 bedroom Ficus apartment! The views were stunning, the accommodations were very comfortable, and our hosts were wonderful and sweet. We arrived late to town and were encouraged to have dinner first in town (Buonconvento) to enjoy the Sagra della Val d'Arbia celebration and dine locally. Though we got a bit lost finding our way in the dark (it is a bit of a long bumpy road to get there), our hosts were so warm and welcoming. Though it was a bit too cool for us to swim, it was a delight to bring a book and have a siesta down by the pool and just enjoy being in the quiet beautiful countryside. I would heartily recommend this stay and hope to come back one day!

LOVED Podere Cunina!!

The beautiful property, the wonderful, peaceful surroundings and the amazing family that was our host, made for a perfect stay! Our apartment was perfect with amazing views and all the amenities that we needed. A french press for morning coffee and a microwave were just a couple extras that made eating breakfast and preparing a couple dinners in the apartment so easy. There was a beautiful pool that we took advantage of every day. We took a cooking lesson with Marcello which was so much fun and then we shared our prepared recipes with the whole family at dinner that night. Marcello also took us around to some wineries where we toured and tasted the wine and food of the region. What a great day that was! Both of these things made the our stay at the farmhouse PERFECT!! I miss this place already and would love to go back one day! Thank you so much Silvana, Piergiorgio and Marcello!!

Beautiful views & Serene Atmosphere

Our stay was wonderful in the hills of Tuscany. Our hosts were kind and communicated well upon arrival and check out. Gave good recommendations for local spots and for the best time to visit Siena and other vineyards we hadn't been to before. It was a peaceful and relaxing visit! Thank you!

An Italian Dream

Agriturismo Podere Cunina is everything you could hope for and more in a farmhouse experience in the middle of the wine region! From the moment you drive up the dirt road you know you hit a home run. The beauty is beyond description but like any postcard you have seen. The views from the bedroom windows every morning are spectacular. The apartments are clean and well furnished. The grounds are immaculate and the entire property is very well kept. The Freddi family are welcoming and make you feel at home and go out of their way to assure you are pleased. We also had a cooking class with Marcello which was fabulous, we ate with the family so very special. I even made the exact meal for my family Christmas day, it was that special! We also did a wine tasting tour with Marcello and it beat any of the winery visits we did on our own. He knows the places inside and out as well as the vintners and was well informed. He also took us to his favorite gelato locale, the entire time spent here was a dream come true. Hoping to get back one day, tomorrow is not soon enough!!

A wonderful destination

Agriturismo Podere Cunina provides everything required to enjoy a relaxing, peaceful holiday within an area of outstanding beauty, which you can view from your window or the tranquil surroundings of this lovely property. The Freddi family are so welcoming and unobtrusively attentive and farming life continues daily all around as it has done for years. All the accommodation and facilities are truly first class and there is so much to see and enjoy within a short drive from the property. This was simply the best holiday week we have had, elevated by late September sunshine. We are so grateful to our hosts for providing such a fantastic holiday location.

What a great experience

We had such a great time at the Farmhouse. One of the highlights of our vacation. Our apartment was charming and comfortable and the cooking class with Marcello was awesome. I have been making the best risotto ever since. Enjoying the fruits of their labor as well. The Olive oil, Honey, and Saffron are some of the best we have ever had. I bought enough to gift to some of our friends at home and they are enjoying it as much as we are.
