We had the most amazing vacation at this property. The views are so beautiful, your minutes from the marina, restaurants and a little shopping. The house is so roomy. We had 10 and we each had our own space but lots of room for us to gather. The kitchen is a little small for the size of the house, but unless you have more than 3 adults who want to cook together it s not a problem. Loved our stay!!!!

The house is beautiful and has a view of Shadow Mountain from the front porch. The access down to the lake is on roads, not hiking, but was very accessible. Beds were plentiful and comfortable and the bathrooms were great. The kitchen was well stocked - but note that it's just a drip coffee pot, not Keurig.

Fantastic Stay!

From the moment we arrived at Shadow Mountain, it felt as though we had stepped into a private mountain retreat designed specifically for relaxation. The location is nothing short of spectacular. Everything about the house was beyond our expectation and we would not hesitate to come back. I will recommend it to anyone!

A great place for a group getaway

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Lots of room to have a large group get together and enjoy this scenic part of the country. Close to Grand Lake with quaint shops and restaurants.

1) Excessive construction noise during our stay, due to a new home being built across the road. We left a day early to get some peace & quiet.2) Large tractor parked on road blocked the limited view of the lake from front porch.3) A scheduled water shut off on 7/16 was not communicated prior to our arrival date.4) This is a nice house but shows it's wear & tear due to rentals.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. For future guests, we'd like to provide some additional context regarding the concerns mentioned. This home offers a comfortable setting in a beautiful area, but like many growing communities, nearby construction on neighboring properties can occasionally occur. Because this work is outside of our control and schedules are determined by third parties, construction activity may take place during normal daytime working hours. We understand this can be disappointing for guests seeking a quieter getaway. We also recognize that temporary equipment, such as construction vehicles or tractors, may occasionally impact views while nearby work is underway. These circumstances are temporary and are not a permanent feature of the property. Regarding the scheduled water shutoff, utility interruptions initiated by the local utility provider or municipality are unfortunately outside of our control. Whenever we receive advance notice of planned outages, we make every effort to communicate that information to arriving and in-house guests as promptly as possible. Finally, this is a well-loved vacation home that has welcomed many guests over the years. We work closely with the owner to perform ongoing maintenance and updates to keep the home comfortable, well-maintained, and enjoyable! We appreciate feedback that helps us improve and remain committed to providing future guests with an enjoyable stay and responsive service whenever unexpected situations arise. As always - our Guest Services team is available 24/7 should you need anything before, during or after your stay!

Nice Retreat Space

The home is beautiful and has every amenity. Great location right near the lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. Access to trails within a few minutes walk.

Gorgeous home!

Parking is a little tight if you have more than 2 vehicles. View, location and home were beautiful. Could’ve had a few more towels provided. 2 per bathroom was all there was. Would stay there again and again!

AMAZING

What a dream 4 day trip. Friends and family gathered in this beautiful home and it was an amazing experience. We especially enjoyed the artwork being all from Grand Lake even the coffee cups. Very clean very comfortable and an amazing view. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home. We hope it’s available next year.

The house is amazing! Beautifully furnished & decorated. Kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware & utensils to prepare full meals. Even had a crockpot for preparing meals while out hiking and Kayaking! Large bedrooms and bathrooms with awesome amenities including jetted tubs and steam sauna showers. Located in a great, quiet neighborhood overlooking the lake with easy 5 minute access to the town of Grand Lake & 10 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Short Sons of Norway Barnelopet Get-Away

Nice upscale home with lots of room. Kids loved the bunk beds and table tennis. Would consider staying again for a longer period of time so that the cleaning fees didn't dominate the total cost.

Fantastic Family Stay

This property was just wonderful. Everyone had space to be together or just to relax quietly if you wanted. We cook a lot and the kitchen was fully stocked with lots of cookware for easy prep. Plenty of hot water for our large group. Beautiful property with so much to do around it. Be sure to check out the local activities, we had a blast. We are definitely planning another trip and this will be the place we go to. Also, the owners and property management were gratious with our requests and we really appreciated that. Fantastic place

Weekend Getaway

This home was beautiful! The location & views are awesome! The kitchen is super well stocked - except for pot holders! It needs a little TLC…the oven did not work properly, the coffee maker didn’t work at all - we had to go buy a new one - some of the shades were broken, some lightbulbs we burnt out. BUT - overall a very beautiful, peaceful weekend!!

Family reunion

Property and house location was great. Grand Lake was great. We loved the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed. Unfortunately it was very hot due to weather on top floor. No a/c and screens were not on all the windows upstairs so couldn’t open all. Pillows were flat.
