Looking to get away from it all? Discover Grand Lake where you can have the benefit of all that wintertime in Colorado has to offer. Enjoy snow-shoeing, cross country skiing and snow-mobiling right from the back door of this conveniently located cabin. Downhill skiing is just a short drive away. Everything you need to make your winter escape perfect is here for you, including an inviting wood burning stove to warm up by after your outdoor activities.
The house is spacious enough to be shared by several families whether it’s friends getting together or a family reunion. The cabin can accommodate sleeping arrangements for 12 people and has sufficient bathrooms as well. With several rooms outfitted with televisions and audio and video equipment there is space enough for everyone to lounge around for evening entertainment. We also have a video library and board games to keep you busy once the sun is down. For those of you who just can't quite get away from it all we've included a computer equipped with high speed internet access and a wireless connection if you bring your own.
If peace and quiet are what you’re after this is the place to come! Curl up on the comfortable nubuck leather couch with a book and a cup of hot chocolate or take a scenic walk around Columbine Lake and drink in nature’s beauty.

great house in Columbine Lake

This simple cabin in Columbine Lake was perfect for our family. The kitchen was well supplied, house was clean, and deck provided a perfect summer get away for my family. Highly recommend!

Lovely Place For Mini Family Reunion

Our kids and grandkids had a great time at this property and it was large enough to accommodate my two sisters and their kids and grandkids for dinner. We wholeheartedly recommend!

Family vacation

Beautiful home! We were quite surprised that there was everything that we needed with regards to toiletries, to the essentials that was needed in the kitchen. It was a great surprise and very appreciated! The house was very large and roomy, where all good spread out if necessary, to have a little piece and quiet after our long hikes. To look out the windows and see the mountains was glorious, the wildlife even more breathtaking. Thank you to our hosts for allowing our family to be guests in your home!

Amazing Christmas snow experience

Oh my! This cabin was beautifully positioned in Columbine Lake community, providing great, regular road snow clearing. Shoveling our small drive was no big deal with equipment provided and driveway heat. Fireplace added to the wonderful experience. Huge, picturesque views were had on both living levels. Kitchen was super well equipped with EVERYTHING, making this a home away from home. The random squeaky floor was so nice, making the character of the home sweet. On that note, our newlywed couple and my wife all commented on how quiet the house really was; though others mentioned they could hear doors closing. There are TONS of DVD movies and good board games, which added to our family time playing our Quest II Oculus which we steamed to the family TV. We have finally found the secret to a pull out sofa bed: a Tempurpedic overlaying a 2” foam! Very comfy, indeed. There was super-generous tissues, paper towels, trash bags, Toilet paper, etc. provided. Communication was absolutely amazing as well. Owner was lightning fast to respond to whatever we needed. As well, the guidelines, check-in/out etc. details covered way more to what we needed to know. You guys is a wonderful Christmas experience. Thanks!!

Beautiful cabin!

My family had a lovely time at the cabin and in Grand lake. The house was spacious , comfortable and very clean. It was equipped with all the essentials. Marc gave us easy instructions and was quick to answer any questions.

One of my favorite places in Colorado !

This is an amazing property in a beautiful setting. This is the second year in a row that we have rented it for our women’s kayak group. Every year, we consistently see moose and deer in our yard. This year we had a large female moose hanging out in the yard for several hours on Saturday afternoon, and one Sunday a younger moose came by with a herd of deer. The huge wrap around deck on the property makes for a Wonderful place to hang out in the evenings, and the view is stunning! Marc Is a fantastic host and we have really enjoyed working with him both of the years that we have stayed here. Everyone on our trip requested that we come back to the same house for next year, it is just such a magical place!

Great stay! A bit farther from town than I'd hoped, though.

Great place to stay and very affordable. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. The communication was easy and helpful. The only negative is that it looked to be a lot closer to town when booking than it ended up being. It's not exactly walkable.

Comforts of home

Great location - peaceful, wildlife, yet close to town. Beds very comfortable and master suite offers lots of privacy. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Kitchen well equipped. Thanks for the chilled beer mugs! Close to RMNP entrance. We went back into the park at night for star gazing.

Snowmobile trip

Marc is a great owner who responds to questions promptly! When we arrived, we had a difficult time getting the 29’ trailer in the driveway as it was plowed pretty narrow. Contacted Marc who in turn contacted his snow removal company and got them over to get the driveway widened out. This is a beautiful home in an awesome location. People in this area are very friendly. Marc’s home was awesome for snowmobiling trip!! Thank you!!!

This cozy cabin was so delightful. We loved the location and enjoyed walking around the community.

The cabin had everything we needed. The wood burning stove was so the best way to start and end our days. Really nice place and communication with Marc was excellent.

Proximity to RMNP

My family had a wonderful time in this cabin. We've stayed in many VRBO's over the years, and this one was exactly as advertised - very clean and just outside the National Park's western entrance. It really was a perfect location for visiting the park. Our only issue was that we didn't read the listing closely enough and thought we would be able to use Columbine Lake. It's a private lake - no short term renters allowed -- so we were not able to use our SUP or fish there. Turns out that was a non-factor, with Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake literally five minutes away. Overall, highly recommended. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us.

Great place in Grand Lake

We enjoyed our stay in Grand Lake. The place was a perfect location, easy to get to town and activities. The house was clean and looked just like the pics. Enjoyed walking around Columbine lake in the morning! Gorgeous view! Liked the multiple keys available since we had lots of people staying here. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place with a cabin feel!

A little piece of paradise!

The description and the reviews do not do this property justice. It is over the top amazing! We almost hate to tell other people how great it was for fear that it will become too popular, but it was such an amazing place! We were a group of six women from Denver, that are in a big ski club together, and we often go kayaking together. I wanted to have a women’s getaway weekend to go kayaking, and we enjoy shadow Mountain Lake which is nearby. When I was looking for properties online, I thought this might just be a house in a suburb of Grand Lake. and I did not know that it was a beautiful four bedroom cabin/house nestled in the woods on a private lake! Marc Was an amazing host, and bent over backwards to go the extra mile and make sure we had a great stay. He responded to all of our messages very quickly. He even helped tell us where to look for the best stars since the stargazing was totally amazing every night! After dinner we went for a walk around the lake, which was about a mile and a half loop through the neighborhood of beautiful cabins and houses and we enjoyed the view of the lake and the mountains. Every morning there was wildlife in the yard. On Saturday there was a mother dear and her two fawns, and on Sunday morning we were treated to mother moose and her calf, along with two adult deer and two fawns, all in the yard at the same time! There were also lots of hummingbirds. The house was spacious, clean, and had an incredibly well stocked kitchen with utensils, spices, and servingware to accommodate all of the great cooks on our trip! So overall, this was a truly wonderful property, and we hope to return again sometime, because everyone in our group thought that it was a little piece of paradise!

Mountain getaway
