A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.







You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

We absolutely loved the house! Beautiful views of the mountains, 2 terrific days of skiing and fun tubing night. We plan to come back to Canaan every year.

We love the house, the view of the mountains, and the lake below. The three levels of the house suits our family and the ages we have. The best house we have ever found for our family, we have several years of experience renting for our annual family get together. Everyone was very helpful.

We had a great time and plan on booking again in the future. The staff did an excellent job working with us when we had no power or water and a snake in the house. We were indecisive about what we wanted to do but they gave us options and Becky and her boys even came over and helped get the water back on and tried to catch the snake.

The views from anywhere in the house were beautiful. The house was very well kept and clean. Our wedding weekend was the perfect house rental, had plenty of room for family to gather in the evenings. We loved this property with our family. It was perfect size and everything about it was perfect. The employees at Mountaintop have always been top notch. Always have gone beyond to us.

A couple of minor issues that maintenance was quick to take care of. OH MY GOODNESS! Waking up every morning to that view in the master bedroom was absolutely a dream! We even were visited by a bald eagle and so many deer each day we were there. Hopefully we will be able to rent again next year.

The overall cleanliness could be improved. There also has been very little maintenance done on this property. This is the second year we have stayed and it has already declined. The outdoor fireplace needs cleaned/serviced. The hot tub smells and is not clean. The kitchen cabinets do not close properly. There is little dusting above 5 feet. There is an inch of dust on the fireplace mantle, on top of the entertainment center, and cobwebs in ceiling fans. We paid for early check in but the keys were not available. No one answered the phone but my email was returned promptly and we only waited about 10min.
