Downtown Fernie Family Loft | 2BR + Gear Garage

Welcome to our comfortable two-bedroom loft in the heart of historic downtown Fernie. Located directly on 2nd Avenue, the loft puts you steps from local restaurants, cafés, shops and galleries, while still being just minutes from hiking and biking trails, parks and Fernie Alpine Resort.

The loft is especially well suited to couples and small families looking for a comfortable home base in downtown Fernie. It features two bedrooms, one full bathroom and a bright, open-concept kitchen and living area.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom has a set of bunk beds. The top bunk has a maximum weight limit of 120 lb (54 kg) and is intended for children rather than adults. The sleeping arrangement is best suited to two adults traveling with children, although the loft can also comfortably accommodate up to three adults.

Quality linens, comfortable furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen make the loft an easy place to settle in after a day exploring Fernie.

Gear Storage

Guests have access to a private storage garage at the rear of the building—perfect for mountain bikes, skis, snowboards and other outdoor gear. The garage is the unit on the right and is secured with your own access code.

Please store bikes, skis and other large sporting equipment in the garage rather than bringing them inside the loft.

Parking

Free street parking is available around the front, side and rear of the building on a first-come, first-served basis. During the winter, overnight parking is also available in designated downtown parking areas. Please pay attention to seasonal signage and snow-removal restrictions.

Access

The entrance to the loft is on 2nd Avenue at the front of the building, above and to the left of Polar Peak Books. Your private gear-storage garage is accessed from the rear of the building.

The Building & Location

The loft is located in a character building on Fernie's historic 2nd Avenue, directly above Polar Peak Books. The bookstore is a quiet commercial tenant and closes in the early evening.

There is one additional residential suite next door. The suites are well separated, providing guests with a comfortable and private place to relax after a day in the mountains.

Because the property is right in downtown Fernie, guests should expect the normal sounds of a small mountain town. Fernie's railway also runs through the downtown area, and trains may occasionally be heard from the property.
