It was such a perfect cottage in the woods. Everything was clean and cozy. It was beautifully decorated and very quiet. We felt so welcome and there was even a gift basket for us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We enjoyed the cozy cabin. It was clean, well appointed & quiet. It’s an easy 45-60 minute drive to Acadia. We enjoyed local restaurants, Island Take Out & Marlintinis.

Stay was ok, the cottage was very clean, with lots of fresh towels and several fans, which we appreciated. However, the plug in fragrances and lack of an extra set of sheets were a drawback.

The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to share the following:- We supply fresh linens and towels for every stay, and we also keep an additional set of sheets stored in the couch compartment for guest use.- We place plug-in fragrances in the home as a courtesy, but we understand scent is a matter of personal preference, and they can easily be unplugged if not desired.- We encourage guests to reach out to the Guest Contact should they have any questions or concerns during their stay. We're always happy to help.- As part of our hospitality, we enjoy providing thoughtful touches like a guest gift basket and fresh flowers to create a warm and inviting experience. We appreciate your comments so we can continue to refine the guest experience and ensure future travelers enjoy a 5-star stay.

Pontos positivos: Limpeza, check-in, comunicação e localização
Photos are misleading. The cottage is attached to a house. The photos of the external setting show a place that appears to stand-alone. While we did not see and rarely heard the owners of the house (hosts), we had expected a different (more private) setting. The host did not provide any written instructions about how to use the unique refrigerator / freezer (two drawers in the kitchen cabinet) or the microwave or other “stuff” in the house. On the plus side: Bed was very comfortable, rooms large with high ceilings, large bathroom with shower, and well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated the location, near a land trust (the one hundred acre woods) and a blueberry barren, and the relatively uncrowded area even at the height of tourist season.

Awesome Stay

This is a place that is quiet and has an amazing amount of thought put into the rental space. It has everything you need and probably a couple of things you forgot! A cozy fireplace to come home to at night and a beautiful yard to sit and unwind in. It was for us, the perfect vacation.

Acadia Vacation

The property was outstanding! Each room was beautifully decorated with interesting touches throughout. And the owner could not be more gracious. He offered tips for Acadia and shared his favorite restaurants. We loved our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely return! Thank you for making our stay special!

It’s really a gem!

We stayed at this gorgeous cottage for two. Nights while we hiked around Acadia. The place was spotless, and every detail was attended to. They even left us a thank you note and some bottled water and snacks! Well worth staying here even though it is an hours drive to Acadia. Would definitely stay again!

Property was well maintained, private, quiet, and in beautiful location surrounded by woods! Owner was very responsive to text messages in answering questions. Cottage was very homey with gas logs and everything needed was provided. We would definitely recommend this property! If we return to Maine in the future, we would rent it again.

We had a quiet and peaceful week in this secluded and beautifully appointed cottage. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. We brought some food and cooked freshly caught steamers from Johnson’s Shellfish in Blue Hill. The General Store and The Morning Moon Cafe are great for breakfast and lunch. We took the Mail Boat out of Stonington to Isle au Haut for a lovely view of the islands off of Deer Isle. Cliff was a great host, left us to our seclusion and was there only when needed. We truly enjoyed every day of our stay.
