As a small Maui-based business, we pride ourselves on providing the best possible service to our guests especially with regard to being completely transparent about EVERY detail, good or bad, for each and every property we represent. This is evident when simply perusing descriptions of any one of our offerings at PrivateParadiseVillas.com. We were surprised to recently receive in March 2023 a negative two-star review, that relates to a visit dating back to September 2022 and this post is intended to share perspective and truth about the circumstances of the comment. The visitor complained that the villa rented was exposed to loud luau noise from an adjacent hotel. Our website discloses the potential for audible loud luau noise from nearby resorts. The disclosure was made to the guest prior to their villa rental arrival. Anyone who has visited a resort area in Hawaii knows that outdoor music, luaus, parties, corporate events, and so on are rather common. They are a part of frolicking in paradise and are enjoyed by many. Unfortunately, the poster felt the noise was an inconvenience and intolerable. Once we learned about his concern, our team members reached out and asked how we can help with the situation, even though we have no control over the outdoor events planned at hotels in the area. We only manage the individually owned villa apartment he rented the is located in an unrelated location, Wailea Beach Villas. At that time, the guest replied that “he did not know”(how we could help) and the conversation went no further. Guest enjoyment and satisfaction is our priority at Private Paradise Villas, but there are external factors such as luau song and dance from nearby hotels, that are beyond our control, and simply a part of visiting the Wailea Resort area on Maui. While we feel this particular review is a “one-off” considering our decades of success, top-notch reviews and a return guest ratio that is as high as 50% during winter season, we take these comments seriously and will do what we can to further strengthen all related noise disclosures. The resorts incredible beach front location with stunning nightly sunsets, is hard to beat.The adjacent Shops At Wailea, which are immediately accessible to the Wailea Beach Villas via a common gate, feature outstanding shopping for designer goods, art, crafts, clothes, shoes, sundry items, gifts, deli food, liquor, and dining. Several restaurants in the Shops at Wailea will cooperate with take-out food orders placed in advance by phone from your personal villa. We offer a fabulous on island concierge team for all of your vacation needs, i.e. activities, car rentals, private chef services, grocery stocking, etc etc. We look forward to the soon return of our wonderful guests, as well as their referrals of friends and family.
