Welcome to the Himalaya. Built in 2017 mountain home at Kicking Horse Mountain resort. 4200 square feet of living space located in the prestigious Cedar Creek neighborhood. Heated floors throughout.
There are six spacious bedrooms. The upper floor has two large bedrooms with a king bed and a single bed in each room. Both bedrooms have large closets and ensuite bathrooms with vanity, large shower and toilet. Heated with baseboard heat. All bedrooms (except one) have large 50 inch flat screen TVs with satellite service for watching your favorite TV shows and movies. Both bedrooms have private staircases up to them and have balcony areas overlooking the kitchen/dining area and the bar/living room area.
The main floor has 2 bedrooms - each with a king bed, large closet and large 50 inch flatscreen TVs. Heated floors with dedicated controls. Right off both bedrooms are spacious bathrooms with large walk-in shower, vanity and linen closet.
Downstairs has two large bedrooms. One has a king bed and bunk bed with queen bed below and single XL bunk above and large closet. The second bedroom has a king bed and large 50" flatscreen TV. Both with heated floors and dedicated controls.
The main floor has two front entrances, a large deck that wraps around three sides of the home, two of which are covered and coat closets just off the front doors.
One side of the home features a huge sit up bar with stools and gigantic 75 in flatscreen TV with Satellite TV service, Bluray player and surround sound system. Two beverage chillers help keep both beer and wine at perfect temperature. There is a sink and dishwasher making it the perfect place for serving drinks and entertaining. Off the bar area is a sitting area with large sectional sofa with great view of the TV. Great for watching the big event. Providing the light to the area is an incredible wagon wheel chandelier with wine glass lights fixtures. Just off the area is a laundry room with high capacity washer and dryer. Heated floors.
The other side of the home has a large kitchen with large side by side refrigerator, dishwasher and a large sink. Fully equipped with everthing you could want to prepare a gourmet spread. A large sit up island had a large 4 burner stove with downdraft and large electric oven. Just off the kitchen is the large dining area with a 12 person table and chairs. Overhead is a beautiful wagon wheel chandelier with wine glass light fixtures. Heated floors.
Small appliances include microwave, food processor, electric kettle, popcorn machine, blenders (three throughout the home), gourmet espresso machine, french press coffee maker, drip pot coffee machine, coffee grinder, large and small crock pots, hand blender, rice cooker and large electric griddle. Full bar set both upstairs and downstairs allow for concocting the perfect apres ski libations.
Both the bar/living room and kitchen/dining area have doors leading out to the huge back deck that overlooks the Columbia River Valley and the Selkirk mountains. It has a large propane grill connected to the house propane so you never have to deal with propane tanks.
Downstairs is a large media and game room with large sitting sofa, 75 inch flatscreen with Satellite TV and Bluray player, Pool Table, fooseball table and wet bar. Just off of the room is also a large bathroom with shower tub, vanity and toilet and a mud room - perfect for storing you ski boots and ski wear after coming in from a long day of skiing. There is a large single car garage on the lower level as well. Just off the back entrance to the home is a large 8 person hot tub. Private and secluded with a great view over the valley. Perfect for relaxing those tired muscles after a long day of skiing. All rooms have heated floors.
This is the perfect home for a large group of couples, wedding parties, huge family reunion or a group of families coming up for a shared ski vacation (note we do NOT allow Bachelor or Bachelorette parties). Note we have NEST cameras at front and back entrances of the home which does encompass the hot tub area. No AC - there are only two homes at Kicking Horse that have AC. It is a ski area and generally does not require AC. We have fans in each room for those occasional summer hot spells.
