About the home

“Cois Tra” is a delightful double-storey family home in central Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is the 2nd living room with smart tv (and access to Netflix & Disney) as well as the laundry, a bathroom with shower & toilet, and bedrooms 4 and 5 - each with built in robes. The large double garage provides access into the home, has three enclosed sides and accommodates a table tennis table and other outdoor balls/games. Upstairs is the open plan kitchen / dining / living room equipped with smart tv (and access to Netflix & Disney) that provides access out to the north facing alfresco area at the rear of the home. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 are on this level and each have built in robes, there is another central bathroom with bath & shower, plus a separate toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The fully enclosed rear yard also features a separate enclosed dog run and an enclosed north facing lower deck with access from the laundry. The downstairs deck has 4 outdoor lounge seats, a bar table with 3 chairs and a hammock for relaxing. Pets are welcome, but please keep them off carpeted areas inside the home. The upstairs deck/alfresco area has cafe style blinds plus a dining table with 10 chairs, a 5-seater lounge, 3 stools and a gas bbq. The large double garage has a fold-up table tennis table and provides parking for up to 2 cars, with space for an additional 3 vehicles in front of the garage and 2 more in the driveway.

The small shed in the rear yard is available for guests to use (perhaps for storage of a motorbike/jet ski or small boat), but the workshop (accessed off the garage) is not accessible to guests.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, food processor, sandwich press, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge with water dispenser, bosh dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners in each of the two living rooms, ceiling fans in each of the three upstairs bedrooms, plus two stand-alone fans in the downstairs wardrobes and one stand-alone heater stored under the stairs.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 11 beds, accommodating up to 15 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Single Trundle bed
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): Two sets of Single Bunks and one Single Trundle bed

Please note: the Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

Excellent house and location for a large group.

We were very impressed with the house, we had a large group and the house facilitated us all very comfortably. A large upstairs area and upstairs veranda. Also nice for some backyard cricket. Very impressed, could not recommend more.

Large family getaway

This is a great property for 3 families with children to stay. There are 2 bunk rooms downstairs with a lounge area for teenagers and a large living space upstairs, including a large, covered balcony. It was only a 10minute walk to the beach. The only down side was there is a gap between the outside front stairs that one of our dogs managed to get through from the back yard to the front.
