Enjoy the comfort of Eleven09, a curated historic cottage replete with vintage whimsy, situated in the heart of The Storybook Capital of Texas!
Eleven09 is centrally located near Downtown Abilene, McMurry University, Hardin-Simmons University, and Abilene Christian University. Our family friendly haven will envelop you with inviting warmth the moment you walk through the door.
The Cottage at Eleven09 property can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. The Cottage is all on one floor and sleeps up to 8 in a comfortable master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bath featuring a walk-in shower, a bedroom with two twin beds, and a queen bedroom that share a full hall bathroom. Two more guests can be accommodated on the new living room queen size sofa bed with memory foam topper. The Cottage at Eleven09 also has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with seating for 6 plus an extra table available for seating an additional 6 guests, a washer/dryer, quality bed and bath linens, WIFI, and Smart TVs with live local and cable channels in all bedrooms, living room and back patio.
In the back garden, you can spend a lovely evening sipping a glass of wine or roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. There are plenty of tables and chairs for all guests to enjoy a meal alfresco. You’ll even find a swing in the corner of our cottage garden to daydream away your afternoon.
Abilene is full of kind, welcoming people. We live nearby and are available at a moment’s notice should a need arise. If you would like assistance with a reservation to the James Beard award-winning Perini Ranch Steakhouse (a must-do!), let us know. We would be happy to fill you in on the top rated local sites (which are all just a hop, skip and jump away) such as The Abilene Zoo, Frontier Texas!, The Grace Museum and The National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. We can also connect you with our local partners who provide tours, catering and other services.

The property was outstanding.  Charming house with modern bathrooms/kitchen and delightful back yard vibe perfect for hosting few friends.  Property description matched perfectly our experience.  Host Theo was outstanding, check-in and out were simple.  Great coffee selection provided plus thoughtful few items already in the fridge.  Kitchen also has a stand alone icemaker!  Highly recommend the stay!

Eleven-09 was a lovely stay. Beds were super comfortable and location was quiet. The host was very responsive and went above and beyond to leave some breakfast items for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

This property was exactly as advertised, very well kept and well appointed, clean, and in a great neighborhood. Communication with the hosts was prompt, friendly and very helpful. We appreciated that they stocked the kitchen with a few food items to make sure we had breakfast handy in the morning. Maybe the best option for a stay in Abilene. Much appreciated!

One of the best places I have stayed

One of the best rentals I have experienced. Lots of extra little touches. Communication with management was excellent. Was able to allow us to keep food in the fridge until we were leaving town. Will definitely be back!!

This is such a great property! We were in town visiting our daughter at ACU. I would highly recommend this property if you would like to hang out & cook some of your own meals. Great location- very quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

Great house in a quiet neighborhood

We loved this house! Every detail was thought of and all the decorations so cute. It had all the comforts of home, and in a convenient location to all the new downtown restaurants. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Abilene.

More than perfect!

We came to Abilene for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. Everything at Eleven09 was more than perfect. The house and neighborhood are just adorable. The walk-in closet and full length mirror in the master suite fit the bill for us to get ready before the ceremony. The backyard gave us a very peaceful place to unwind, relax, and chat In the crisp Fall air the next morning before packing up to leave. The directions to get into the house and lock up were very easy to follow and we were even allowed to check in early since we arrived in town before the normal check in time. Melissa took the best care of us by leaving us some goodies in the fridge and being unobtrusive but readily available for any of our needs. Thanks, Melissa! I wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy all that Eleven09 has to offer.

Our stay at Eleven09 easily bests all prior vacation rental home experiences. Every aspect of this home exceeded our expectations. No stone was unturned to ensure that we experienced a peaceful, relaxing, charming, and secure stay. The host was proactive, a great communicator, highly available, and very kind. Wonderful property in every way! We will definitely return.

We can’t say enough about this property and the lovely host, Melissa. She kindly accommodated us on very short notice (NYE)! The house itself was very clean and very comfortable. No detail left out. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you’d need, an assortment of coffee and even a few thoughtful items in the fridge for our roadweary family. Kids cups, dishes and utensils too :) All the beds were very cozy, great linens. The bathrooms were immaculate with high end towels. The master bath was very updated and had a great walk-in closet. The living room was very comfortable and the Christmas tree was a sweet touch. We were so comfortable, nobody made it to midnight! Being good hosts is a real skill and Melissa and her husband have it! Thank you again. See you next time.

Love this home! Perfect!

We absolutely loved staying at Eleven09! It was beyond wonderful. We came to see our son at college and had a great family time together. It is decorated wonderfully, clean and had all the extras we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable. The backyard area was an added bonus. The flowers were beautiful! Melissa made us feel so at home and even made a cake to welcome us. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

We can't wait to stay here again

We came to Abilene to visit grandma and other relatives and wanted a place where we could entertain them. The Cottage at Eleven09 was perfect for us. Not only is it beautifully decorated, but it was very comfortable and roomy. The owners had even decorated with seasonal decorations! The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare and serve a New Year's Eve dinner in style. Nice touches in the modern kitchen include gas cooktop, an ice machine, an outdoor gas grill, nice wine glasses, and a very well stocked Keurig machine. Even though the home has historical charm, everything that affects comfort was thoroughly modern, well thought out, and luxurious. We really appreciated the USB plugs on the alarm clocks, the telescoping makeup mirrors, the fine bed linens on comfortable beds, Fire sticks on every TV, and good Wifi. The owners met us with fresh baked pumpkin bread and showed us around. They even left a nice bottle of red wine, which was much appreciated after a long day in airplanes and cars. Everything about our stay was so wonderful. We can't wait to come back and stay again, hopefully in the summer, so we can enjoy the lovely back yard and patio. Finally

Excellent!

We had a wonderful stay at Eleven 09. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable - a true home away from home. We had 6 adults and 1 child staying; but there was plenty of room. We were able to comfortably host 20 for our family Christmas dinner! The backyard is perfect for gathering around the firepit, BBQ, TV and tables. Wonderful experience at a beautiful property in the heart of Abilene.
