- Your safety matters. This property features 5 exterior security cameras located on the outside of the house facing the driveway, front door, side street (2), and front street. The cameras do not look into any interior spaces. The cameras record video and sound when activated by motion
- The homeowner lives on-site, in the connected guest house, and although you may not see your host and you have separate entrances, just remember the host is just a text away
- This single-story home requires 4 steps to enter. Step-free access is available through the side gate
- A Georgia fishing license is required to fish in the lake. Prior to fishing, please email a picture of your fishing license to the Guest Contact
- All non-motorized boats are allowed in the lake
- The property sleeps 7 guests in 4 beds, with room for 11 total, using the 4 twin rollaway beds
- The kayak and pedal boat are available only upon request, and a waiver must be signed for access. Guests must bring a truck or trailer to transport the boats to the lake

Nice stay

Great amenities!

This property exceeded our expectations! The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable mattresses. The added touch of having k-cups of coffee, an assortment of light breakfast options and single-use bathroom supplies provided made this property stand out against any other I have visited. Plus, it is really a very nice house in a beautiful neighborhood. Hands down a top choice pick when returning to Statesboro!

Home away from home

We had an amazing time it’s hard to summarize it!! This house is truly a home away from home and more!!! Friendly host, great neighborhood, beautiful and clean home! We came for a family vacation to relax and go to Splash in the Boro….we never made it to the waterpark the pool and hot tub was more than enough!!! We truly accomplished what we came for!!! Definitely will be back!!! Thank you again!

Last minute

Last minute reservation due to a family funeral. Our stay was ok as the property needs some upgrades to the bathrooms (no walk in shower available). Also all 3 beds are very high, so our 86 year old mother had to use a stool to get in and out. The owner lives on site and the suite is attached to the house.

Comfortable, spacious home

This house is spacious and in a nice quiet neighborhood about 10 miles from GSU. We shared it with another family and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house could use a few updates but had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive to our questions/concerns, however, they are technically staying in the same house, just on the other side of a door. I thought the comments about being “on property” meant they were in a separate house nearby but no, they were in the house with doors facing the pool.

From the owner: "We certainly appreciate your feedback. We do encourage you to review photos prior to booking to make sure it's what you want. We do have an attached suite. Our suite has a separate entrance which prevents any contact with guests. We share nothing. We have our own kitchen, bathroom, office, living area, and sleep area. We are not a part of your living quarters and you have the luxury of your own split wing that does close off from the rest of the common areas or our wing. The windows that face the pool have now been blacked out. The windows are not in the living space of our wing but do face the pool. The smoke smell comes from the wood-burning fireplace. This is why it's only smelled in the area of the fireplace. We also have a firepit outside and if you don't keep windows closed it may smell. We do appreciate this review and we appreciate you."

bad experience, we booked for 7 nights and stayed only 1 day/night. On the website it says that the owner lives on the property but it doesn't say that his door faces the pool, taking away the guests' privacy, we smelled a strong smell in the house and the owner in addition to being rude, he thought he had the right to stay with us in the rented area, taking away our privacy, I do not recommend it to anyone

Nice property. I felt harassed and spied on the entire stay. The house could have been cleaner. We found dog hair, spider webs, and dead insects. This could have been managed but there was no broom or sweeper available. We were in town for the Georgia Southern football game and several family members stopped by on the way to the game so we could get there as a group. I was constantly questioned by the host as to how many guests I had. The visitors were for a very short time. I have used VRBO in the past with more than satisfactory visits, but this was an extremely unpleasant experience.

Extended Wedding Weekend & Rehearsal Dinner

Lovely home & setting. Very peaceful. Lots of nice touches…snacks, popcorn machine, wood for outdoor fire & supplies for s’mores, breakfast foods available, etc. Owner very responsive, polite & easy to work with. Only complaint about the house was it needed a good deep cleaning. I’m sure it’s hard to accomplish this with the few hours they have between check out & check in. We did have issues with the listing on VRBO - when booked (almost a year ago) the listing did say events up to 50 people. We purposely chose the house for this. We had a rehearsal dinner here. Then received a message stating we were over occupancy & were going to be charged another $693. After talking with the owner, this issue was resolved. I believe the listing on VRBO has now been updated too. Had the house been cleaner & we not had the issues with the listing, I would definitely given the home a 5 star review.

If something was not clean you should have reached out asap to explain what's dirty and the housekeeper would have taken care of ASAP. Since you did not mention this on your stay we were not able to take care of this situation. Next time, please contact your host first, so they can fix the issues & make your experience a 5 star. We do have a few signs posted regarding this in the home. Your suggestions are appreciated. We don't use a TV in the common room. We take pride in being a quiet nature retreat. I like to Encourage reading some of the Local history. Although we know our guests would like to enjoy some TV, so we have provided a 75" BIG SCREEN TV DESIGNED FOR SPORTS with seating for up to 8 & Full-size popcorn machine. The TV is not our focal point of the common room but located in a room that is more appropriate. Happy to hear you enjoyed the snacks. I provide just enough to get you by just in case the guests are to tired to go the the store or the kids are fussy. It's just to get you by until the next day. We do provide a large variety of things. It's just our way of saying thank you. I would love to offer wine. Unfortunately it's not allowed. You may bring your own though. Please keep in mind how the rating system works compared to a hotel and short term rental. Giving me a 4 star because I don't have wine is not how we rate our hosts. Please review my large amount of 5 star reviews on all the platforms. I have not had somebody say the house was dirty. So informing the host is important unless there is nothing to report. Your guest left half smoked cigars around the perimeter of the home. This is disgusting and disrespectful. I have a video of the guest smoking the cigar and made it a point the camera would see him putting out and just walks away from it. Guest is welcome back as long as she reads rules first and contacts us about a problem first before leaving review.

Bittersweet

To be fair, I would be giving this property a 4-5 star rating if not for the interaction I had with the host upon departure. The property is nice, the home was personalized with a few graduation decorations and a welcome sign. No issues with cleanliness other than some dog poo left behind in the gated area. We were allowed to check in at 1pm instead of 4pm and the host always responded promptly. The reasons for the negative review are as follows;1. It reeked of marijuana. Not just the day we got there but also the day we left so there’s no blaming the prior tenant. I’m fairly open minded but I was there with my in laws and children. 2. The owners patio umbrella blew over (because of wind) the first day and a claim was filed on us to replace it. I paid for the renters insurance thankfully and suggest you do the same. 3. When I asked her to come hang the umbrella back up, she told me a neighbor was coming and no one ever came. We left with it still on the ground.I feel badly for even posting this because I never post bad reviews but this one was a doozy.

Pleasant Stay

This is a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the pool. A good family space. Owners could not do enough to make our stay a pleasant one in terms of equipment, advice etc. An array of pool inflatables available, more snacks, water etc than we could eat! Bar-B-Qs and outdoor kitchen essentials a plenty. Main living areas and kitchen are tired and require updating if this is to be truly 4* accommodation. We were surprised to find owners living in part of the property that was separated only by an internal door, covered by a table and picture. We could hear them at times and I am sure they could hear us. Smell of smoke/tobacco/vape also drifted through the property at times (we don’t and have never smoked). We have spent many vacations in USA always renting properties for our stays but have never found owners to be living in such close proximity. Also, neighbor was invited to use pool by owner during our stay (I was in the property at the time). This may be acceptable to some but the proximity of owners and shared use of pool should be detailed in the advert and renters made aware at time of bookings. This could be a gem of a property and a 5* rental if property updated and issues with sharing accommodation and facilities addressed.

Great stay!!

Met owner and discovered the small world we live in. Thanks for sharing pictures of Ft Collins and especially the garage door opener. We old folks don’t do well without railings and steps. Had a good time with grand babies and birthday parties at the park.
