Oceanfront Paradise!

Our condo is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. As soon as you walk through the door, you will know you are in paradise. The oceanfront breeze greets you as you walk through the entrance and into the living room. Not only does the living room boast an ocean view, but the large bay window in the master bedroom also allows you to look out over the sea.
Listen to the sound of the waves crash upon the rocks all day and night. On sunny days, we can even see turtles drifting through the surf below!
To relax on Poipu's white sandy beach, simply head outside and walk down the road three minutes. We equip you with snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and beach chairs!
Lastly, our condo is only a 5 minute drive away from Poipu's center, where one can find nightlife, fine dinning, shopping, and restaurants.

The Perfect Place!

We loved this condo. Clean, beautiful, perfectly located. Amazing view of the waves and sun and even turtles swimming below. Check in process smooth. Everything was really wonderful. Want to come back soon!

Great condo!

It was a lovely condo in a fantastic location. Two bedrooms, a great little deck overlooking the crashing waves and the sunset. Nice pool area too. Perfect for two couples -we loved it!

Beautiful views

This was our 3rd time staying at this condo. We love the location, the resort, the pool. The neighborhood is very walkable. The view is so beautiful. You can’t get any closer to the ocean. We enjoyed watching the whales, sea turtles and beautiful sunsets. The management is very personable and accessible. Hope to be back soon.

Fantastic View

This property is very well situated and the view could not be more beautiful. The pool is very nice. There were many sea turtles swimming right below the pool so that was fun to watch.

Breathtaking views

We love this property. This is the third time we stayed at this property, second in this condo. The views are breathtaking, sunsets gorgeous. The property is very well kept. The pool is great. Hope to be back again.

If you were closer to the ocean, you would be swimming.

Love this property. Whales, turtles, seals, and dolphins, oh my. A great location, comfortably appointed, easy walk to sandy beaches, shops, dining, snorkeling, and a vista that is tough to beat from your own lanai.

Poipu waves and turtles

This two bedroom property is conveniently located in Poipu Shores which is a short walk to Poipu Beach in one direction to see the turtles come to shore every night and Shipwreck beach in the other direction to hike the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. If you like the sound of waves crashing into the rocky shore, it doesn't get much better than this condo.

Kauai trip

We gave 4 stars for cleanliness because the bathroom tub was dirty. Also, we discovered, after a few cold showers, the hot water heater was set on vacation mode. Our friends would have liked some room darkening curtains in the spare bedroom. We loved sitting on the patio and had a fabulous time!! Thank you!

On the ocean

You cannot get better in terms of location. Unit overlooks the ocean. You will sleep with waves crashing and visions of the moon on the water. This is updated unit. There is no AC but fans in all the rooms. We were able to sleep comfortably.

Great property!

The pics do not do this property justice. Although some of the items are a bit dated, the property itself is in good condition and has been well taken care of. The ocean odds quite literally right outside the window. If you love the sound of crashing waves you will thoroughly enjoy this property. It can be loud…but we loved it. At times it did hamper our sleep but at the end of the day we were more than happy to deal with the noise and found it calming. Honestly…update the pics, this is a Diamond in the rough.

Ocean front best location and view!

We’ve stayed ocean front many times but never this close. Poipu Sands is literally on the ocean. Saw whales and turtles from the window and spent every day watching sun rise and set. Breathtaking! Just a few minutes walk to several of the best beaches and pool was amazing right on the water! Photos don’t do this listing justice. Only negative (if there is one) is unit is not air conditioned (which is common in Kauai) so did get warm even with fans. Waves breaking are really loud at night. If you are a light sleeper, it was like sleeping with windows open during a heavy thunderstorm. We came for the ocean so this unit exceeded expectations. Unit was clean and property manager was very communicative. We kept pinching ourselves with how lucky we were to have found. Hope to be back!

Beautiful space

Beautiful place, right on the water. The condo was very clean, nicely done with tile floors throughout, looks like it was recently updated. Location is a ~10-minute walk to Poipu Beach & Brennecke's. Our favorite things about the place were sitting on the balcony in the morning as daylight broke and in the evening watching the sunset, swimming in the salt water pool, looking over the pool fence to see turtles swimming around, and listening to the waves break on the rocks. Good location within the complex. Check-in was easy at the office (we came mid-day), there was some confusion re dates and fees, but these were quickly cleared up. We didn't cook but the kitchen looked well-supplied with utensils etc. Only important thing is to keep the master bedroom curtains closed during the day because they face south & the room can get warm.

Great outside, poor insides

We stayed in this unit for one week in February of 2024. We have stayed in other units in this building several times before and in comparison we were sadly disappointed in this one. This unit is priced lower than the others likely for 2 reasons. First it has no air conditioning which at many times of the year wouldn’t seem to be a problem. However this means the windows need to be open all the time which creates condensation literally dripping down all the mirrored walls and windows. Also, while I LOVE the sound of the ocean, the crashing on the rocks right outside the bedroom is better when it can be dampened a bit by closing the windows and using AC at night. The second reason it is likely priced lower is it is very old, outdated, and worn out. We had to struggle opening and closing most doors, screens, windows, cabinets and drawers. Towel racks loose. Utensil cheap, wine glasses dirty and mineral coated. Washer smelled of mildew. In short this place is in need of not just new photos, but more love and attention. We still LOVE the location. But next time we will spend a little more and choose another unit.

We enjoyed the convenient location right on the ocean with waves crashing and dolphins offshore. The management was welcoming, responsive and professional while still being casual. The washer /dryer was appreciated. The only thing that would have made it better is air conditioning. Nice place

Wonderful stay!!

We loved our stay at Poipu shores. 2nd time here first time in 302 A. Most relaxing, memorizing view ever. And stunning!! No spices of any kind. Luckily we brought salt and pepper and spices for salmon as we read previous reviews. Bed was soooo comfortable and we watched the moon and stars from bed at night which was spectacular. Pool was so nice as it is heated. We got in pool most days after our ocean snorkel. No laundry detergent but you can buy 1 time packs at whalers store for 1.59. Blender would not turn on so I think it needs replaced. We were there in august and it was hot and humid but the condo stayed just fine without ac. Lots of overhead fans and breezes through the property. We plan on returning to this condo. We liked the view better from this condo then 305a where we stayed previously. The palms directly out the lanai are magical!!!! So beautiful!! Best place to stay in Poipu!!!!

As good as it gets

Poipu Shores is THE best winter property on Kauai. RIGHT on the lava rocks, waves crashing about 50 feet away. Green sea turtles and breaching humpbacks put on a great show right from the lanai. This was our seventh stay at the property and second stay at 302A. We made good use of the updated kitchen. Pro tip, waves at night can be loud, so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs. (Yes, it’s THAT close). Also the parking lot is probably better suited to compact cars rather than big SUVs. We’ll be back, mahalo.

I liked most everything about the condo - the location and view were AMAZING! The pool was warm salt water and we loved it. The grills were convenient to use. The property could use a little updating - lamp in the bedroom looked like the shade was so old it could catch on fire - afraid to turn it on. The cabinet where the pans were kept smelled like mildew and so did a couple of the cupboards. There were very few plates (considering it could take 4 people). There were no seasonings whatsoever - we had to buy salt and pepper and anything else. The ledge on the window going outside was cracked and the closet doors did not slide well. I think that the condo needs some TLC. The blender left plastic chips in my drink from the lid. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and these are my only complaints which are pretty important to be addressed by management. The TV in the bedroom had to be worked on to even get any stations by the condo people and then Spectrum. It should have been ready to go. Anyways, that's my opinion.
