Historic 2 Story Home w/ Balcony, Parking on Calhoun Square by Lucky Savannah

Built in 1856, this stately historic home has been fully restored and renovated to have all the modern conveniences with the charm of original heart-pine floors and brick fireplaces (decorative only now). Located just north of Forsyth Park, Savannah’s largest green space, Cotton Manor has everything you’ll need for a truly luxurious stay in the Hostess City.

Large windows throughout the home let in an abundance of natural light with plantation shutters for privacy. The open dining and living space has plenty of comfortable seating, so you can relax after a day of sightseeing or plan your next adventure. The galley-style kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a double oven. The first floor of the home includes a full bath and half bath.

Two bedrooms are upstairs, along with two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a King sized bed with beautiful solid wood frame, floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the balcony, and an ensuite bath. The windows are a lingering architectural detail from a time when Savannahians were taxed by how many doors their home had. The second bedroom has comfortable a Queen-sized sleigh bed to curl up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The second bathroom sits just outside the door in the hallway. The third bedroom can be found just off of the living room, that features a comfortable murphy bed, and access to the front courtyard.

This home is perfect for those who want to explore the city by foot. A short walk north through Calhoun Square will take you to Clary’s Cafe, the setting for several breakfast scenes in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. No matter which direction you choose, you’ll be in the heart of all Savannah has to offer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Minor issue at check in but Lucky Vacation responded immediately and handled issue. We didn’t have car and found bounce luggage storage 3 blocks away. Spent most of our time outdoors, fabulous area! Walking distance everywhere and free public transportation 2 blocks away. Would rent house and thru Lucky vacations again!

Great location! We could walk to Forsyth Park, and many other spots. We enjoyed all the rooftop bars on River Street, but we did Uber to those. The construction next-door did get us up at 7 AM, but they ended early and we were able to enjoy the patio each evening. It’s lovely

Excellent location & plenty of room

We had 4 adults,2 kids under 12 staying here 4 nights. We did not feel cramped at all. We enjoyed our morning coffee & evening wine sitting out back on the beautiful patio, the fountain & string lights were a nice touch adding to the ambiance. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt very safe. The air condition worked great, the house stayed very cool while it was 92 and high humidity the whole time. The house & rooms look just like the pictures online. The house was clean. The kitchen could use a new no stick frying pan. The bathrooms could use a few more wash cloths & hand towels. Other then that, we had no complaints. We would definitely return

3 Girlfriends in 1 perfect accommodation!

3 senior girlfriends - 2 first time visitors to Savanah. This property met and exceeded our time in this city. 3 br/3bath set up was wonderfulBeautiful home and loved the back patio space. Very clean with cozy bathroom and kitchen supplies. The location was great. Could walk to a lot and if not, an inexpensive Uber ride was always handy. Customer service was outstanding. I lost a sentimental item and they were about to find it for me during our stay which was very much appreciated. Would book this anytime I travel to Savanah.

The rental was clean and exactly as pictured. Tons of small seating areas to relax and the outside space with water fountain made for an extremely tranquil and fun place to hang out in the mornings and evenings. The place was a short walk to everything we wanted to do. We appreciated the list of recommendations. We will be back! Absolutely loved this place!Extra bonus that the rental property was very communicative and the place had clear instructions on how to get into the place. We did it need it, but 2 parking spots as well!

Great location and parking

The parking on-site was a great feature. The house is in a good location. Close to Forsyth Park and Jones St. The hop-on hop-off trolley stops at Taylor Square (right next to the property). City Market and the River District are a short drive (if you don't want to walk). The Publix supermarket is an easy drive (5-10 minutes). The covered patio was nice. There is remolding work on both houses next to this one. It did not bother us during our stay.

Beautiful historic accommodations in the heart of Savannah made for a wonderful weekend trip.

We had a remarkable time meeting up in Savannah for a weekend reunion getaway. The house was comfy and perfectly located for convenient walks to the river front and other Savannah sights.

Great vacation

overall everything was top notch. Only one minor complaint. The bed in the master bedroom is to high and is hard to get into. There should be a small step stool for people to use if they need to.

Amazing Weekend

My daughter atended SCAD several years ago. When she was there my husband and I visited often. We fell in love with beautiful Savannah.The house was perfect for a long weekend. The patio was perfect for morning coffee and walks to Forsyth Park and shops. We were able to have a front rowfor the beautiful Veterans Day Parade. My father-in-law was a paratrooper in WWII. The parade was important to us to honor him. We will definitely return.

Perfect get away

Short stay with friends from college. The house was perfect. Walking distance to downtown area and Forsyth park. Lovely sitting area outside where we were able to hang and catch up with one another. Property manager was wonderful, and two parking spots made it a hassle free trip. Would definitely recommend this lovely home.
