Log Home Getaway with Incredible Mountain Views

Our beautiful log home locally known as Rancho Relaxo, boasts a stunning south-side exposure facing the Columbia Valley. This traditionally handcrafted home provides continuous sunshine, amazing views, in a private, pristine setting. Just minutes from the town of Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, there is something to do for everyone. At Rancho Relaxo you will elevate your holiday experience and wake up above the morning clouds!

To ensure the safety of our guests we have added extra precaution to avoid the spread of COVID 19. In addition to the strict cleaning guidelines already in place, we are also including additional preventative measures; more time between reservations (over 24 hours between Check outs and Check ins), increasing our focus on cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas such as door handles, lights switches, handrails, kitchen and bathroom faucets, doorknobs on kitchen and bathroom cupboards and appliances. We will be following the recommendation of all major health agencies including BCCDC and PHAC to encourage all visitors and staff to regularly was hands using soap and water. Disinfecting wipes, soap by sinks and hand sanitizer will all be readily available for our guests during their stay.

The location is absolutely stunning. The view is incredible. The cabin is private and quiet, great for rest and relaxation! The home is clean and has everything you could wish for. The host is kind and great at communicating! It is close enough to the National Parks to make some excellent day trips. Overall, a truly fantastic option!

Had a lovely stay at the log home in Golden BC. Was a great location to have day trips to all the surrounding national parks and enjoy the outdoors around the area. Was a nice disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Homely log house with beautiful views

The house is very spacious with beautiful views over the Columbia River valley. The house is hidden between trees, with none of the neighbouring houses directly visible. It was wonderfully quiet. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing visit.

Golden log home gem

Fabulous time staying in this beautiful log home with everything you need for a peaceful and cozy time tucked away in the mountains. The wood burning stove was a hit with our group who spent long days ski touring and the atmosphere and warmth was much appreciated. Charlotte was a fantastic host and very communicative.

Perfect Place

We have stayed in multiple VRBOā€™s and this was the best equipped home we have ever stayed in!! Cabin was cozy. Lovely porch and BBQ! Just on the outskirts of town so very peaceful! Charlotte was very responsive to any questions we had! Close to Yoho NP and lots of great hiking. Hope we can come again sometime!

Wonderful stay

The property was true to the pictures and very clean and private. While we were there, a wildfire prompted an evacuation order for a night. Charlotte went above expectations in communicating with us even as she was affected by the order. We really appreciated her efforts and hope to return to Golden and her cabin in the future! Thanks again Charlotte!

Magical mountain stay

Absolutely gorgeous veiws! Very private and quiet surroundings. House is well equipped with all necessities Host is very responsive and helpful. Very short 5 min drive to Nicholson general store for supplies or Golden is less than 15 min for groceries or drug store. House is laid out well and very roomy.

Kicking Horse skiing trip

Very well maintained and supplied cabin in beautiful surroundings. Ideal for summer activities. A bit further from skiing resort. Not easy access in winter. Overall, very enjoyable place to be with friends and family.

Wonderful views, perfect place for the whole family.

We absolutely never grew tired of the views! What a perfect cabin for all of us. My children all had their own large rooms to themselves. Loved the log interior of the cabin, which gave it that Canada feel! We ate outside most evenings and enjoyed the views of the mountains. Golden is a wonderful little town! And I love how its only about an hour from Moraine Lake/Lake Louise, Yoho, and Glacier. Thank you for having us!

Fabulous log home getaway!

This house was BEAUTIFUL! There was more than enough space for our family. The view of the mountains was spectacular. Because this property was a bit out of town, there were no street lights, and stargazing at night was heavenly! Charlotte the host, was very kind and helpful, and answered all of my questions quickly. I would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous log home in the mountains

We are two retired couples who have spent 8 days traveling in the Canadian Rockies. This log home was great for us. The previous property we stayed at in the U.S. Glacier Park was nice but rather small, so we appreciated being able to spread out in this roomy house. It was centrally located to all the parks we wanted to visit, and felt very private with a great Mountain View off the deck. We cooked all the nights we were there, and the kitchen was well equipped. It took us a bit to figure out how the stove worked, but it worked fine for us. Thanks for sharing this lovely place with us!
