The house was beautiful and had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate our group of 13. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, and the host was easy to contact and kindly allowed us an earlier check-in, which we really appreciated. The sauna and games room were definite highlights and a big hit with everyone.Overall, it was a fantastic stay well-equipped, and perfect for a large family gathering.

Fantastic stay. Host was always responsive to questions we had throughout the weekend. Other than a non-working arcade game, it came completely as described with lots of space for our multi-family winter get away.

Overall the property is beautiful. We had issues at the beginning of our stay and the host was very responsive. No olive oil and the coffee maker did not work on the first morning. It took a bit of back and forth to get back on track. There are no walkable trails by the property except for the road. We talked to a few locals and they stay on the main roads because the dear trails are often soggy. The house does need a good cleaning as there was a lot of dust and grime. Didn’t like that we had to finish others people laundry on day one and then start 2 loads of laundry before we left. Overall a good stay but not for the money we spent. We are not likely to stay there again.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the property beautiful and appreciated our responsiveness. When you let us know the coffee maker wasn’t working, we immediately arranged for a replacement to be shipped for next-day delivery so you could enjoy the rest of your stay. While olive oil is not listed as an amenity, we also went out of our way to have some delivered as a courtesy. We take cleanliness very seriously, and the home is professionally cleaned between every guest. As noted in both our listing and welcome guide, the property is located at a lake surrounded by forest. Because of the natural setting, the occasional spider web can appear within hours, even after a thorough cleaning. Regarding the walking trails, there are trails at the end of the street that many of our guests enjoy, as well as numerous trails in nearby Seba Beach and Entwistle. With the unusually wet spring, some areas may have been muddier than normal. We appreciate all guest feedback and continually strive to provide a great experience. While we’re sorry the property wasn’t the right fit for your expectations, we wish you all the best in your future travels.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

I booked this property for my sister in law's bachelorette and it was perfect. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing. There were lots of bed and comfy couches for people to sleep on and the house itself was very open and bright. We even got to be the first group to try the new sauna and it was fantastic. Highly recommend this property.

This is a wonderful VRBO! Exactly like the photos, the house was clean and comfy! We are very pleased with our stay and will come back when we need a getaway from the city! Tyler and Holly were great hosts, we had some car issues due to AB weather, and they were nothing but kind and helpful!! Thank you!!

Multigenerational family getaway

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home! Every detail was thoughtfully curated. From the high-end furnishings and tasteful décor to the quality kitchen appliances, and dishes. The bedding was cozy, the kitchen was fully equipped, and there were great games to enjoy outside as well. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention went into making this place both beautiful and comfortable. Just a note for others: there are quite a few stairs, which might be worth considering for those with mobility concerns. Otherwise, it was perfect. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing stay at the Lakeview Cottage!

Booked the cottage for a couple's golf trip and the accommodations could not have been better! The house was clean, beds were comfortable, close to 2 great courses and it easily fit our party of 8. The front patio was a fantastic hangout spot and when it got too warm the ping pong table in the nicely airconditioned house was a great break from the heat. Plenty of kitchen space to cook the meals and a ton of room to more around, the house could have easily fit double. We had a couple last minute requests that I forgot about when booking and the host was quick to respond and accommodated what we asked for. Overall it was an amazing stay and we hope to do it again. I would defiantly recommend this place.

Friend Cabin Retreat

Our friend group of 10 decided to take a nice weekend retreat filled with games, food, and the outdoors. While staying at this Excellent Lakeview cottage we experienced a quiet serenity within the area, a great view of the lake, space for outdoor and indoor activities, and everything you could need for cooking multiple diverse meals. Our group was stunned by the beauty of the property as we walked in and were comforted by cozy furnishes such as decent sheets, comfy couches, and fireplaces. The owners were easy to get a hold of. I called them at one point of time to clear up a small issue and they answered immediately and resolved it without fail. There is a hot tub on the property that is not listed in the VRBO listing, but something to inquire about with the owners before your stay. If you are looking to unwind in a beautiful and convenient place just moments from the city, this is definitely an excellent option. We cannot wait to come back!

Family vacation review

The house was spacious enough for 3 adults, 3 kids. The backyard was great and the kids enjoyed rolling down the hill. Steps to the oitdoor firepit would be a good addition. One adult had mobility issues so the stairs were a bit tricky for her. The little kids also struggled with the long and tretcherous winding outdoor stair. There was an interior alternative. The house is located on a corner lot and not on the lake. It does have some great lake peak-a-boo views from the upper deck, through the trees. The bedrooms and living space downstairs were great. If you have small kids and wan lt them in the bunk rooms you will need to being black out curtains with you as soom windows dont have curtains. Altogether a cute spot for a low key, relaxed vacation.

Hi Lisa, I am glad you enjoyed the location, the home and had a relaxed vacation! I wish you had of reached out to us prior to booking about mobility issues and we would have noted the stairs may be an issue as other guests have done in the past. I am disappointed you appointed a 3/5 star based on this reason.
