Enjoy all the beauty Michigan has to offer while staying in a log cabin situated on 22 private acres of hardwoods and pines. Located just two minutes from Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa and the Betsie River.

The Cabin offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, A/C, Wi-Fi and washer/dryer. On the main floor you will find the living room, fully stocked kitchen, dining room, full bathroom and two bedrooms (one queen and twin over queen bunk beds). A Pack-n-Play is available for the little one! The expansive loft (open to below) has a king bed, sitting area and a full bathroom. The game room in the walk-out basement will entertain the kids for hours with air hockey, foosball and lots of board games. If you’re looking for a quieter space, retreat to the loft upstairs to unwind with a book or plug in and get some of that dreaded work done! Outside you will find two covered porches, a Weber charcoal grill and a fire pit to enjoy s'mores while taking in the beauty of the night sky. Snowshoes are provided for your use during the winter months, and lawn games for the summer!

* There are two staircases in the cabin, so please consider this when traveling with young children.

Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is just two minutes away and offers endless activities to keep everyone entertained! Enjoy Crystal's highly acclaimed golf courses, down hill skiing and spa. Other activities include indoor/outdoor pools with a splash pool for the little ones, mountain biking, alpine slide, ropes course, zip line, hiking trails, Michigan Legacy Art park, fitness center, two restaurants and a pub.

In addition to Crystal Mountain, you are just minutes to the Betsie River, snowmobile trails, Cherry Bowl drive-in movie theater, Point Betsie lighthouse, Lake Michigan, St. Ambrose winery, Iron Fish Distillery, Crystal Lake, Frankfort, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Traverse City.

The perfect winter get-a-way!

Perfect cabin in a great location

Fantastic weekend getaway. We chose this log home mainly for its location, and it did not disappoint. Although we were maybe a week early for peak colors, it was still beautiful. Im pretty picky about the places we stay, and the Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. From early pre trip contact with Amy, through final checkout i cant say enough good things about the host or the stay. Privacy, location, authentic log home, what more can you ask for. The biggest issue we had was not wanting to leave 🙂. We will surely return.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

The driveway leads you into the woods to a beautiful secluded cabin! Very clean, comfortable beds, front and back porches for morning coffee. You won’t be disappointed. My grandkids loved playing air hockey, the adults loved it too. We loved how centrally located it was. We spent a day at Sleeping Bear Dunes, went kayaking on platt river, picked cherries in Traverse City. We also rode the Alpine Coaster, and went putt putt golfing. We were able to sit by the fire at night and enjoyed making s’mores Amy was wonderful at responding quickly to any concerns we had. We checked in very late at night and Amy had the lights turned on for us which helped a lot. We live in Tulsa Ok and this was our first log cabin experience. We will definitely be back to stay in the beautiful cabin in the woods.

Magical Cabin in the Woods

This authentic log cabin in the woods is a peaceful retreat yet so close to Crystal Mountain amenities and local breweries and restaurants. The cabin is clean, cozy, and decorated with a cute cabin theme. It’s a wonderful place to get away and relax. Amy is a responsive and great host! We had a wonderful time!

Very nice cabin

Very nice cabin. Would have given a five star for cleanliness but when we lifted the couch cushions to use the pull out couch there was a LOT of popcorn. Also linen is NOT included for the pull out bed. It states in the listing that “all linens are included”. It also states three bedrooms, but it’s actually two bedrooms with privacy and a door, the master bed is in the loft right over the kitchen. Everyone can hear everyone. Other than the couch the house was VERY clean, inside and out. Exceptionally clean for a cabin in the woods. There were no bugs or spiderwebs etc. The basement playroom was VERY nice. The cabin for sure needed more lighting on the whole first floor. Was very dark. The kitchen light wasn’t working when we were there. That would make a big difference in the kitchen area. I would have liked curtains on the windows also. There weren’t enough panels to cover the windows in the downstairs living area or the kitchen door and window. Bedrooms and bathrooms had curtains. All the beds were very comfortable but ridiculously creaky. You could not move in the beds without waking everyone up. Also I think getting a washer dryer would be a good investment. There is a laundry 10 minutes away, but who wants to spend two hours at a laundromat when they’re on vacation.

The cabin was beautiful. It was in a great location, secluded and peaceful but so close to Crystal Mt and not a far drive to Lake Michigan and all the cute little beach towns. Loved our stay, wonderful family weekend.

Cozy cabin min away from skiing

My family enjoyed a weekend away at the cabin. It was cozy, yet spacious. Our kids loved the bunk beds and gaming area. Home is we’ll maintained and clean. Very close to Crystal Mountain so it made it easy to get the slopes quickly.

If you are looking for something in the Thompsonville/travers city area this is your place! Wonderful cabin in the woods, yet close to Crystal mountain. Spotless, plenty of room and equipped with everything you need. DO NOT hesitate to rent for a few days or weeks, I promise you will love it!

Beautiful Cabin, Conveniently Located

Our family enjoyed a weekend getaway to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan. This cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 young child. The cabin was absolutely lovely, but also family friendly, with comfy furniture, bunk beds for the kids, a game room, and a fully stocked kitchen. It's back from the road quite a ways in the woods, so our little guy could be "joyfully exuberant" and we didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone. Nice, home-cooked meals, smores by the bonfire in the evening, and only 35 minutes to Sleeping Bear and the lake, made for a fun, relaxing weekend. We'll definitely be looking to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend!
