Horizons - Hamilton Island

Thank-you for taking the time to submit a review of Horizons. We do apologise for the appliance issues experienced during your stay. The Dyson vacuum failed and was replaced within a day. When I attended to assist with the dishwasher it was functioning and may have been a simple case of user error. As discussed, being on a remote island we use 4g mobile broadband for internet connection, unfortunately the bandwidth is limited and does not come close to speeds experienced in metropolitan USA. The speeds can be very slow particularly during inclement weather when more people are trying to stream. The good news is that Starlink is now available in our region and we will soon be upgrading. The non-heated nature of the pool was disclosed prior to your booking confirmation. Being on an island within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, we are very conscious of our impact on the environment, heating of the pool is not considered necessary in a tropical environment for the few days during the year where it may be required. It was a real pity that the weather was unfavourable during your stay with colder than normal temperatures and strong southerly winds, despite this I hope you and your family were able to get out and enjoy some of the natural beauty and wonders of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park that draw people to this region. It was a please to host you and your family for a special reunion, we do sincerely appreciate your feedback as it helps us to continue improving and achieving our goal of creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
