Offering 2 spacious bedrooms 1 with a Queen size bed and the other with 1 Double + 1 Twin Bed. This Cottage offers a spacious modern interior and is well appointed with a year-round road and stunning Lake View. The open concept layout offers a combined Kitchen, Eating Area and Living Room facing the Lake and is ideal for entertaining during your getaway. The deck and steps take you to exquisitely landscaped grounds with perennials and is fringed with lush cedars and dotted rocks including an appealing patio where you can enjoy the sunshine and unobstructed southern view. Enjoy the deep clean lake with large dock and boat access to 3 other lakes on the system- Bull Lake is part of the Salmon River System and is known for Bass, Walleye and Pike! A snowmobilers paradise with access to a 35km multi-use trail on former railway extends east-west through sharbot lake. Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location

Ball Cottage

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Great cottage, great amenities! Peaceful and quiet. Terrain is abrupt; would not recommend to people with mobility issues.

2nd year at the Ball Cottage

This was our second stay at the Ball cottage and we loved it just as much as the first visit. The cottage is clean, well decorated, cozy and FULLY equipped. Swimming was refreshing, nice and deep off the dock. Fishing was incredible! We caught many bass, perch, sunfish and pike! We love this cottage and will absolutely book for next summer. -Jess&Shawn

Relaxing Summer Fun

The Ball Cottage is a beautiful cottage on a beautiful property. Cottage is very well appointed, comfortable and immaculately tidy. We didn’t need for anything during our stay. The lake is beautiful, it’s deep water right off the dock which made for amazing swimming and floating! A bit steep of a climb coming up from the lake, stairs make it a bit easier. The owners were wonderful and quick to respond to any inquiries we had.

Perfect cottage getaway!

This property is fully equipped! There wasn’t anything missing. They even had lawn games set up and waiting for us. Fishing was GREAT! Right off the dock we caught plenty bass, perch, crappie, catfish and pike! Swimming was very refreshing, it’s about 30feet deep off the end of the dock. No complaints. Will absolutely book again. Only recommendation is maybe add some driving directions as the GPS took us a way that not many vehicles could get through.

A Little Slice of Heaven

We would liked to have stayed 2 weeks but sadly we had only 1 in this lovely spot. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The lake is a smaller one and kayaking during early morning, or after dinner when the water’s surface is a mirrored reflection of the lush surroundings, is a soothing exercise in meditation. We spent most of our time on the dock in the Muskoka chairs or in the water swimming and floating the day away. The climb from the water to the cottage is a challenge, but the intermittent landings are a perfect spot to catch your breath. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and it is the routine I will miss the most, I think. One tip for others would be to travel to and from the cottage using W. Gate Rd off of Hwy 7. Do not approach through Arden unless you like an adventure, as the road conditions (in 7/2023) along that approach are “challenging”.

Amazing Stay!!

Wow, where to begin, this place was amazing! The Ball Cottage was super clean, comfortable and so well equipped! The decor inside was stunning and was displayed in a manner that suggested great thought and planning had gone into it. The exterior grounds and multiple level seating areas were fantastic and provided many options on where one could go to relax an enjoy the cottage. While the cottage is located a short walk up from the waterfront, the sturdy staircase made the trek up and down a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring beautiful Bull Lake with the Kayaks provided and the plethora of hiking options located nearby. Interaction with Cindy was seamless and without hesitation, in future, we would return to this property.

Wonderful visit to the Ball cottage

We had a lovely visit to the Ball cottage for a second year in a row. Unfortunately the power was out due to inclement weather on the day of our arrival. The cottage owner was very communicative and went above and beyond to ensure that we were still able to check-in on time and that issue was sorted in a timely manner. The rest of our stay was delightful and we had a great time enjoying all the amenities of the cottage and best of all, the amazing nature. Thanks for a great visit!

Relaxing vacation

This cottage was exactly as described. Beautiful and clean. Everything you need is included (all kitchen needs, towels, sheets, etc.). If you want a quiet vacation with a beautiful view, this is the place. We had a wonderful time. Joe and Robin

Great stay

Excellent stay! The stairs are steep, and a good workout. Bring your own canoe, it is very heavy with space for a motor. Beautiful lake for swimming/canoeing. Kayaks were great!

Beautiful cottage experience

We had a wonderful stay at the Ball cottage. Pictures online do not do the property justice. The cottage itself is modern and well-kept, with a charming rustic feel. The beds are comfortable and all the amenities ensure a very pleasant stay. Most notable are the incredible outdoor spaces, including two decks, the stone patio and the dock - all allowing for peaceful and scenic opportunities to socialize in nature. We enjoyed swimming, canoeing and kayaking multiple times a day. Our only snag was some delayed communication with the property manager, but our very pleasant interaction with the property owner more than made up for it! Amazing experience and we look forward to returning next summer.

Peace and Quiet

The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was super clean. We enjoyed spending most of the days at the dock fishing and swimming and when the sun was too much we moved to the patio table in the shade just up from the water. We had an amazing time at Ball Cottage and will definitely book it again! A fantastic property in a great location.

Relaxing retreat

This property is beautiful . Well stocked with everything you could want . The lake was great for swimming . Not good for seniors as a long climb up from the lake. My suggestions are to replace mattress and mattress pad in the master bedroom.. Also put shelving in the bathroom ., otherwise paradise. Would go again .

Beautiful

Amazing time spent at this gem of a cottage with my hubby. The cottage itself is beautiful, extremely clean and has everything you need for your weekend. The location is absolutely gorgeous, direct waterfront, and very private. My only regret is not staying longer.

Fantastic spot. Beautiful clean cottage with a great kitchen and all the accessories

Wonderful stay. Cottage deck is large with a nice view. Bbq area is on a landing below deck. Great sitting spot. There is a steep walk to the lake but stairs are in place. Dock is large. Canoe, paddle boat and kayaks. Would go back for sure.

Perfect long weekend get away

It's our first time to rent a cottage at VRBO and it turned out to be a "perfect" weekend get away. The cottage has an excellent lakefront and nature view. It's well decorated, neat and have everything that we need. We had fun kayaking and fishing and caught bass, pikes and catfish and lots of crappies. Communication with Cindy was excellent as well. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to have an escape with the busy life in the city and at the same time be comfortable enough.

Great place to relax

The Good - Great house, we had everything we need. - The pictures are not giving the place justice, it's much better in real life - Kitchen had everything we need. - Lot of games & movies available. - The Peddling boat was really nice & the lake - It's very nice inside, with great decorations & artistic nice little things in every corner. - Spotless - They allowed us to check-out late The bad - We had issues to check-in and when we called the number they said "we don't have property at this address" eventually it was resolved in about an hour ish. - I don't recommend it for young kids (The hill is steepy, There was a small snake near the BBQ, lots of bugs & wasps) our 3 years old had hard time. - If I'd go again, I'd bring drinking water with me Overall: We loved our stay and made great memories and we would come again and definitely recommend this place.

A house with everything you need

It was super, we stayed there for 4 nights with kids. It was nice, nobody arround us, very quite. We made a fire at night, bbq, played a lot at the lake and in the garden. Had breakfast and dinner outside on the balcony. I really think its a nice house with everything you need. The kitchen was like beeing at home, had everything I needed to cook. I recommend this house for everybody. Thank you for having us!

Great place, communication to be improved

Great property, we had an lovely weekend right at the beginning of the spring. Fell in love with the lake! However, the communication with the property manager needs to be greatly improved. We didnt obtain the exact info about how to get into the house (there was a lock password we didnt receive in advance). Fortunately we arrived in the middle of the afternoon, it wasnt too cold and we could entertain our two toddlers But it could have been BAD , had it been in the middle of winter. Later on during the weekend, we had some questions and we never got an answer from the manager. So all in all, amazing place, location, cozy house, lovely neighbors, but communication needs to be really improved. I would still recommend it to a friend!
