We are so sorry to hear of any disappointment with the pet rules. For future guests to note, we do ask that dogs do not go in beds or on furniture. Robert - if you saw older verbiage that also asks to keep dogs out of bedrooms in general, that is out of date and we apologize! We are making sure that old rule is not posted anywhere in the home and for any future stays with us, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. We were glad to hear that you found the house to be a great fit and that our team was responsive throughout your stay.  We were truly sorry for the disappointment caused by the strict occupancy rules and understand how limiting that can feel, especially during a holiday stay with family nearby.  The City of South Lake Tahoe’s vacation rental ordinance is, in fact, one of the strictest in the country.  Because of this, we make an extra effort to communicate these rules very clearly, as we would never want a guest to be surprised by an expensive fine while on vacation.  Any violation of the permitted maximum occupancy can result in a $2,000 fine to both the guest and the homeowner, and it also puts the homeowner’s permit to operate as a vacation rental at risk.  While we know this impacted your plans and dampened the flexibility you were hoping for, we greatly appreciated your understanding and compliance with the local regulations. For future guests, we are available to help resolve any issues that you might have while you are in the home.  Just give us a call, text. or email as our team is available 7 days a week.
