If I go back to Fair Hope, this is the house I would request. Very clean and centrally located to everything Fair Hope has to offer. We were there for a wedding and it was close to the Grand . Very private lot, never saw a person, but 5 minutes to the Grand The host was wonderful and She had everything we needed, no quick runs to pick up any thing.

Thank you, Jeff, for such a wonderful review! We're so glad the house was clean, private, and perfectly located for your trip to the wedding and the Grand. It means a lot to hear everything you needed was already there, with no extra runs required. We're happy this place made your Fair Hope visit so enjoyable and we would love to have you back any time. Take care, Candy

Weekend visiting my daughter and son n law

Beautiful home nestled in Fairhope, Alabama. Close to downtown and the boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops. We stayed at this adorable country home while visiting our daughter and son n law who just moved to the area in July. Great layout for a family and even had some visits by chickens in the morning and evening.

Everything was fine. The key lockbox was cumbersome. The key hole needs WD40. At the end of that flooding rain, the toilets would not flush and were bubbling. It wasnt a problem because we had to leave for a wedding and when we got back everything was fine. You might need look into it. I was a little surprised the garage wasnt available for use. Everything else was fine with the house.

Too much rain!

Despite 3 days of rain, we enjoyed our stay in Fairhope. The house was nicely decorated with all the amenities but farther from the commercial/historic area of Fairhope than we had hoped.A great place for peace & quiet.

Fairhope Charm

House was very clean. The beds were small but comfortable. We were not able to locate our check in instructions and I messaged the host to requests them to send them. I never received a response so called and they were able to send them right away.

Whole cottage was extremely clean and very well stocked with dishes, appliances, coffee makers, crock pot, mixer, etc... Rooms were large and spacious, well furnished and comfortable. Good wi-fi.Problems - beds were too high for elderly sister. Doors to master bathroom and bedroom, knobs would get stuck and lock you in. Master bath sink, had no hot water. There is an unlit walkway behind house that resulted in a fall because light switch is not accesible. It is a lovely cottage and I'd love to stay there again if these issues are addressed.

Never rent this property

House is on a dirt road with chickens running in the yard. We were called and told to vacate the premises because we had more than 6 people and 2 cars in drive. My daughter and her daughter and maid of honor was dressing, getting makeup and hair done for her wedding. With the photographer, hair stylist and makeup artist and parents on the premises there was obviously more then 6 people and more than 2 cars. We were called and told to vacate the premises immedietely. I told Evolve Travel that we would be done in about an hour and everyone would be gone to the wedding but they did not care. Again they told us to vacate now. We felt like we were being spied on and we were some type of criminal. Totally messed up what should have been a wonderful day. To say they gave us some memories is an understatement.

Owner's response: Aimee, We are very sorry that you were upset but we want to let you know that we have had the pleasure of hosting several guests who have been here during their weddings. We usually get a call ahead of time to let us know what is happening so that we understand the coming and going of several people who were not registered as guests. With that being said we do not spy on any of our guests when you booked for 2 people that's what we expected and when the door ring camera went off several times we were concerned that you would be over capacity. Had you let us know we would have been understanding and would not have done anything. At one time there were 5 vehicles parked outside and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms had been used.Henshaw is a small paved road and is maintained regularly and the county puts sand on both sides and grades the road as needed.Due to our remote location, our neighbors are allowed to keep chickens and they do periodically get out and roam about. We do feel that your review was unfair because a phone call to alert us of the ongoings would have been helpful. We work hard to maintain a high rating and to give our guests a 5-star experience. We are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We continue to strive for the 5-star experiences we are known for.
