River Rock Cottage Is Located On The Shore Of Lake Superior On Chequamegon Bay.

River Rock Cottage is a smoke-free cottage located approximately 3 miles east of Ashland, Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior giving you one of the most beautiful views of Chequamegon Bay and the Apostle Islands.
Keeping with our River Rock outdoor theme decor, this cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living room, dining room, fully-furnished kitchen, and outside grill. Two flat panel TVs with satellite for your entertainment. Free DSL/WiFi.
For those who love to fish, we have great year ‘round fishing on Chequamegon Bay and Lake Superior, where we cater to both open water and ice fishing. The cabin also caters to duck hunters, deer hunters as well as being a great vacation place for the family to just relax and watch the sunset.
We provide: Bedding & linens, towels, shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer, shower gel, hand soap & lotion – the same amenities as a hotel. In the kitchen we provide: Dishwasher, dish soap, napkins, paper towels, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, basically everything you have in your own kitchen. We even provide the salt & pepper. All you will need is the food to cook and maybe that special spice to pleasure your palate.

We had a great stay at River Rock Cottage. The view and property were amazing. Scott was super responsive. We had a small group (4 people) but this would be a terrific spot for a bigger group. Really enjoyed it all!

Our recent stay was absolutely fabulous! The cabin was beautiful—spacious, well-furnished, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was clear that a lot of care went into making the space comfortable and accommodating for guests of any size family. The views of the bay were breathtaking, and the setting itself was peaceful and serene. We especially enjoyed the sunsets over the bay and the local wildlife—watching eagles nesting nearby, turkeys strolling through the yard, and even catching sight of a black bear crossing the road. It was truly an amazing stay!

This was a wonderful property to stay at while exploring the area. We actually wanted to do less exploring and more hanging at the house as there were so many neat things to do-we especially loved the sauna and fire pit building, and swimming in Lake Superior. The rooms and common areas were very spacious and had everything we needed. The owner was very kind and responsive. Thanks for the great stay!

Always great experience when staying here. Everything is always clean. Plenty of room. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans needed. Fire house is super cool! Would highly recommend.

Perfect!

We had a wonderful mini vacation with all our kids and grandkids. The house comfortably fit all 12 of us. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed to prepare meals, including 2 refigerators, a deep freezer with 2 bags of ice, and enough dishes. We enjoyed the sauna, indoor firepit and spacious yard. The lake view was wonderful. We couldn't have found a better place to rent to reconnect and make precious memories with our family. spacious yard.

Amazing Place and Views

The place was fantastic for our crew of friends! Everything was comfortable with plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we could need and more. The sauna was a big hit and a nice compliment to our time swimming in the lake. We used the firepit and loved checking out the stars.

Highly recommended property

My family and I stayed here and everyone couldn’t stop saying how much they loved this place. Very clean, had great amenities, and the beds were very comfortable. The layout of the house was great for babies and kids. We had a bonfire every night and there was a lot of firewood provided that we appreciated! Even got to swim in the lake which was shallow and sandy after you get out a few feet. We also went to Bayfield which was our favorite day and explored the town and it was only about a half hour away. We are already planning our next trip here and will have to stay longer this time! Thank you, Scott!!

Peaceful spot on the Bay

Everything was very welcoming and comfortable. Nice amenities and furnishings including life jackets, cut firewood, indoor fire pit away from house, nicely laid out bedrooms that held two families very comfortably. Peaceful country location close enough to Bayfield for outings and cruises.

Gorgeous accommodations and area

There were 5 adults & 2 children. Having a sauna available and a deck facing the bay were highlights. All stated they would like to come again. As the listing states, there are only 4 bedrooms with 2 beds in each. Be ready to share bedrooms if more than 4 single adults are sharing the unit.

Family Vacation

We had an amazing family vacation! The cabin was exceptionally clean, plenty of room and well stocked. Great view of the lake and had beautiful sunsets every evening. Excellent Communication with the host and very friendly. We are planning to return for another family vacation 😊

July 4th Family Get Together

The property was awesome. Great location with a beautiful view of the lake. Fully equipped kitchen was wonderful. The only issues we had were that the Wifi service was extremely slow. Also not having a washer and dryer with 2 active grandchildren for 5 days was definitely a problem.

Beautiful lakefront and calm vibes

Our group of a multi-generational family stayed for 4 nights. At the property we experienced beautiful sunsets, refreshing lakefront breeze, lots of space, shore fishing, lake swimming, an enclosed fire room (no mosquitoes!), and a SAUNA! Plus minutes from Ashland and a short drive to Bayfield for boat tours of the Appstle Islands as well as a short ferry ride to Madeline Island. Great communication before, during, and after our stay with Scott and Mike the property managers. An active yet chill vacation. We loved staying here!

Great Family Location

Had multiple families together for a short getaway and we had a great time! The home is spacious and set up for larger groups. The outdoor fireplace and screened room were fantastic since the bugs were out in force, but to be expected with a wet summer in the woods. :) Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great home base for our waterfalls trip

We stayed 3 nights during our waterfall tour of northern WI. The property was spectacular with plenty of space and a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the fire pit with no mosquitoes, swimming in Lake Superior and meals on the deck. The cabin met all of our needs and wants. Both the host and the assistant at the bait shop were polite and welcoming.

Northland College Graduation Family trip

Extended family trip to attend graduation at Northland. We enjoyed the house and property. The sauna and indoor fire pit were a big hit. The kids enjoyed a dip in Superior. Beautiful sunsets over the lake. Close to town but still have deer and turkey in the yard each morning.
