A very well equipped clean cottage for a multitude of activities. A craft corner, canoes/kayaks for fun on the river, books for reading, dvd's for watching, outside and inside showers and toilets, and dog friendly.

Had a great weekend getaway. What a nice area, cabin and overall experience. Loved the croquet set and all the added fun activities. Lots of gaming options, videos, books, magazines, art supplies, canoes, kayak, and fun activities for indoors and to enjoy the water! Hostess was very friendly, easy to reach and even gave a tour to help familiarize us with the cottage. And went a step above by notifiying us of a possible water shortage in town before our arrival and had water available for our arrival!

We had a great time staying at this place. The host had everything prepared, we could have went with just extra clothes. The cottage was cozy and nice with lots of ways to keep us entertained. There are different areas in the house for reading, art crafts, board games and tv in living room, kitchen and bedrooms, the outdoor shower is very useful, bbq area is facing the water which gave us a great view of the river. We also had a lot of fun time with kayaking up and down Gull River. Hope to come back again.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The host was incredibly attentive and helpful, even going out of their way to pick up some extra canoe paddles for us.We made the most of the river with lots of canoeing and kayaking, along with floating, snorkeling, and swimming. Our son especially loved feeding the ducks, while the adults had a great time going through the selection of ’90s and early-2000s CDs.The cottage also had a great DVD selection, which was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Beyond the cottage, the local go-karting and mini-putt were a blast, and we all really enjoyed the Highland movie theatre and museum.Overall, it was a wonderful family getaway with a great mix of relaxing, being outdoors, and exploring the local area.

Wonderful experience. Our host made sure that we had everything we needed and more. Experiencing the river and wildlife was amazing. Please make sure that you bring water shoes as, otherwise, getting in for a swim, canoe or kayak experience can be challenging. Love the Kawarthas!

Romantic Cottage

Beautiful classic cottage with surprises at every turn. The deck is my favorite place where i had romantic breakfast in the morning and i hug the peaceful starry sky at midnight. Love it.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The artistic touches throughout the cottage are so beautiful . It was such a treat to have a dock to walk out on and spot the adorable frog family hanging out by the canoe. The surrounding cedar trees are stunning, offering plenty of shade. Even during a 42 C heat wave with the humidex, I stayed cool at night thanks to the abundance of fans, the beautiful riverside setting, and the natural canopy. I also loved how the cottage was arranged and decorated; it felt cozy and welcoming. The kids also loved the nearby go-kart racing track!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage over the long weekend. The pretty dock on the little island was such a lovely place to relax, especially near sunset. We took the kayaks and the canoes up and down the river, enjoying a refreshing swim upon our return. In the evenings, we played cards, and sat around the fire, before watching a movie or two. The reading nook and the art corner were very cozy and welcoming. It was a wonderful stay, and I am so glad we found this cottage. Will certainly need to return another time!

Mother Daughter Trip

Great time, great experience and great host! We were greeted by Stephanie and shown around the property. If we had any questions throughout the trip she quickly responded to us. The day before our check out, Stephanie offered us a later check-out without asking since guest were not arriving. We had so much fun swimming and relaxing on the dock. Water shoes are a must! We would definitely return to this spot.

Gull river cottage

The river is really lovely - there is a bit of a current making the kayaking really fun. We came for Thanksgiving weekend, so didnt swim, but we might come back next summer to try that out. The cottage property is well developed, with neat little sitting areas, decks, solar lights and an awesome boat launch. The cottage is stuffed with activities and anything practical you might need. There's a new outdoor shower. The property is obviously loved and well cared for. And yes, it is whimsical!

Stephannie was very attentive and very quick to respond to our questions and requests. The cottage and property was whimsical and charming. We all enjoyed the arts and crafts table, the many movies and cd’s available for our use. The recommended water shoes and snorkel equipment are a must. We made use of the kayak and canoe. The outdoor hot shower was a godsend after swimming in the river.We had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks.

Clean charming cottage. Stephanie was very gracious and kind. Loved the quiet river and having our coffee out on the swing looking over the water front. The beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed..lovely stay!
