Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry the start of your stay was frustrating, especially with the AC not working properly during such a hot weekend. We understand how much of a difference that can make when you’re trying to enjoy your vacation. Once the issue was reported, we had a vendor out on the second day of your stay and were glad they were able to get the system back up and running. We also appreciate you pointing out the other items in the home, including the window handles, water heater, beach equipment, and kitchen glassware. These are all helpful things for us to know and we have already followed up with our team and the homeowner to address these issues. We’re sorry these issues took away from your overall experience. We always want our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their time in Newport Beach, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know where we could have done better.

We are truly sorry that your stay was impacted by the air-conditioning and dryer issues. We understand how uncomfortable it is to be without AC, especially at night, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this caused during your three-day stay. Unfortunately, the rooftop AC unit had reached the end of its life and needed to be replaced. Once the issue was reported, our team responded and sent people to the home to troubleshoot and attempt to get the system operating. However, the unit ultimately required replacement, which could not be completed during your stay. We understand that this did not provide the resolution you needed, and we are very sorry for that. As stated in our rental agreement, while we will always make every reasonable effort to respond to HVAC issues as quickly as possible, immediate repair cannot be guaranteed, and the agreement does not provide for refunds, credits, reimbursements, or other compensation for HVAC malfunctions. We also apologize for the inconvenience with the dryer. Our team did respond and was able to repair it during your stay, although we understand that having it resolved on the final night was of limited benefit to you. We genuinely regret that these unexpected maintenance issues affected your experience. We take our guests' comfort seriously and have addressed the AC issue by moving forward with replacement of the rooftop unit so that future guests do not experience the same problem.
