Well stocked kitchen, very relaxing. Get place for families. Not swimming beach, but can get out in bay to use water. The management company didn't return text or phone calls

Skipping Stone

We enjoyed the stay very much. The kids had fun fishing, kayaking and watching the deer, eagles and other wildlife. Being close to the Minocqua zoo was a plus. Bad Bones and Era's were great dining choices.

Gorgeous lake house!

A beautiful home with everything you would need and more! The view from the deck was spectacular and we loved listening to the loons, watching eagles fly by and deer everywhere! This house is minutes away from everything! A great location!

Quiet lake but close to town

Wonderful stay at this quiet lake and friendly neighborhood that was close enough to town for activities. Fished, took a UTV ride, had a campfire, sat on the deck with coffee in the morning, took walks and enjoyed local shopping. All of our pets loved the large yard to run and shallow waters to play in.

Rare Family Get together

With a busy family of Working and college-age kids, this was the only 5-day stretch we all be at the same place at the same time. Skipping Stone did not disappoint. Peaceful and right on a beautiful lake it was just what we needed. Also, the proximity to Minocqua was so convenient. Thanks for such a clean and beautiful place.

Great Vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time here. The house was spotless, and we could tell the kitchen, bathroom, and deck had been recently updated. The view from the deck was amazing. The location was almost perfect; we were close enough to town for anything we needed but far enough away that it was very quiet. Skipping Stone doesn't overlook details

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Along with our two dogs, we stayed with longtime friends early July at Skipping Stone. The property was very clean, and we were impressed with the very well-equipped kitchen, filtered water pitcher, the oscillating fans and child gate that kept our dogs restricted to the upper floor. There was plenty of seating inside and out, with a wonderful deck looming over the lake that was perfect for sunsets and allowing our oldest dog outside access without constantly keeping an eye on him.While the lake was very quiet, we were a little surprised to see lily pads surrounding the dock and stretching into the bay on our left to the south, since online images didn’t show any. That kept us from enjoying the water as much as we would like, but they did keep the few boats and other watercraft away from the property and the smell of the flowers opening was very enjoyable.

It was very clean and had all the necessary kitchen equipment to prepare food.The views were wonderful of the lake. It was great waking up to the lake views. Easy access to the pier; plenty of space in front of garage to park car.We saw deer and also a beaver who chopped down a sapling and carried down the lake.Shops were close by; we enjoyed eating at the Fin and Filet and enjoyed the ice cream at Dan’s Fudge

Our family group (ages 10-72 and our dog) enjoyed our stay overall. We chose this house because it is close to bike trails, pet friendly, and on the lake. Positives:Great location! Close to the main road but quiet and feels very secluded. Clean and comfortable.Well stocked kitchen.Awesome deck and large private yard.Peddle boat was a hit with the kids! Negatives:Guests are not able to use the washer and dryer.The lake water is very clear, but weedy and full of lily pads. This would make it tough for anyone wanting to swim. We had unseasonably cool weather for August so it worked out that we did not need to swim off the dock. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay. Sleeping arrangements for a family of four were beyond our needs. Everything we needed, especially in the kitchen was available. The living room and kitchen area provided a perfect end of the night experience for us. The place was incredibly clean. The views were incredibleThe inability to swim right off the dock was the ONLY downfall for us. But the hosts were gracious to allow us to use their dock for our boat that allowed us to get out into swimming water.
